Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
Ranked as the No. 1 RB prospect in Georgia for the 2028 class, Belyeu now holds an offer from last year’s No. 1 team in college football. The physical runner from Acworth, Georgia already has a loaded offer list and it will only continue to grow after a giant sophomore season where he ran for 1,244 yards and 25 touchdowns. He averaged an eye-opening 8 yards per carry, breaking tackles and leading the North Cobb offense effectively all season long. He’s one of the top 2028 running backs across the South bound for an even bigger junior season in 2027.

If you want a kid who will fully blow someone up, then the right guy to look at is Belyeu. He is shifty and has a lot of great moves when running the ball, but he isn’t afraid to drive through someone when it is needed. The talented running back is the complete package and will be on his way to becoming a top player in the state, with the chance of becoming a higher-ranked player in the state when things continue to grow. He will be one of the running backs who seems to be an exception once he gets to college, and that has the chance to carry over.

Ranked as the No. 1 RB prospect in Georgia for the 2028 class, Belyeu is a tackle-breaking machine with five-star potential coming off an eye-opening freshman season for North Cobb where he ran for 1,107 yards and 15 touchdowns. He brings impressive size, power, elusiveness, and was one of the more productive freshman running backs across the South last year. He has a chance to be one of the very best running back prospects in the country and is bound for another gigantic season in 2025. He took another step forward in the latest rankings and is now the No. 4 overall prospect in the state for the 2028 class.

emerged as a breakout star in 2024, racking up an impressive 1,107 rushing yards, 15 touchdowns, and four 100-yard games as a young back with a veteran-like presence. Now heading into the 2025 season, Belyue is looking to build on that momentum and establish himself as one of the top running backs in the state. His physical running style, paired with surprising balance and burst, made him a constant threat last season—and he’s only getting better.
A true power back with sneaky speed, Belyeu has the tools to wear down defenses and break big plays when it matters most. His ability to finish runs through contact while maintaining vision and footwork gives the North Cobb offense a reliable and explosive option in the backfield. With another offseason of growth and the Warriors looking to make a deeper playoff run, Belyeu is expected to be a key piece in their quest for redemption—and a name every defense will be game-planning for.

Kind of hard to call Belyeu a “Future” star when he is already a star at the varsity level. He was name 1st Team All Region after rushing for over 1000-yds and scoring 15 TDs during his Freshman season. The 6’0 210 bruiser averaged over 8.5 ypc on his 127 attempts.
A Prep Redzone Combine Alumni that I saw personally last Spring at the Middle School Combine. Outstanding speed and agility for a RB his size. He is not just a physical North South runner but posses the speed to break away from the defense in the open field. Ranked as the #3 RB in the ’28 Class with numerous offers already. Future National recruit.

One of the top 2028 running back prospects not only in Georgia but across the South, this big, powerful North Cobb running back ran through impressive defenses on a consistent basis last fall as a freshman. Playing for one of the better programs in the state, this talented freshman ran for an impressive 1,107 yards and 15 touchdowns, hitting the 100-yard mark in four games. He’s ranked as the No. 3 RB in the state and the No. 9 overall prospect in Georgia, and his recruitment is on the verge of exploding. This promising runner earned two recent offers from Auburn and South Florida with many more on the way.

A big, powerful runner who can bowl over defenders with ease, Belyeu is a tackle-breaking machine who runs hard behind his pads. A big back already at 6-foot-0 210-pounds, this North Cobb standout brings plenty of size and ran through some impressive defenses on a weekly basis last season. This outstanding freshman back ran wild for 1,107 yards and 15 touchdowns. He looked like a seasoned veteran out there and should see his recruitment take off sooner than later. He’s ranked as the No. 3 RB and the No. 9 overall prospect in the state for the 2028 class now according to Prep Redzone.

is coming off a fantastic freshman season, where he finished with nearly 1000 yards on the ground during the regular season despite sharing RB duties. Belyeu is far more advanced physically than your typical freshman RB. He is incredibly stout and strong, allowing him to truck defenders in the open field and stay on his feet through contact. He is explosive as well, making him tough to catch in short areas and providing enough burst to make his own yards in the open field. He holds an offer from App State, and I predict more offers to come his way after an elite freshman season. I expect Belyeu to get plenty of run in the playoffs, starting this weekend against a south GA Camden County squad.

is one of the best freshmen in the state this fall, and he proved it against Cherokee. He was a man amongst boys, getting across the pylon 3 times while generating highlight reel plays seemingly every touch. Belyeu’s combination of explosiveness and size allows him to power through defenders and stay on his feet through contact. Late in the first half, he dropped his shoulder and trucked a defender for a loud TD run. Belyeu has an early offer from Appalachian State, but I imagine more and more FBS schools will get involved as he continues to dominate stiff competition despite his age.
