Expert Analysis
Austin Butler | Prep Redzone Scout
Barnes is a perfect receiver to call an entire package. Not only does Barnes have the physical attributes but he’s got the game to go along with it and that’s what sets him apart and makes him a potential college athlete in the future. Obviously, Barnes has to prove it at the high school level but after his middle school career, there should be no doubts!

Barnes is a prospect who really has a huge upside going into the high school level. His ability matched with his size is second to none at the WR spot and in the class of 2029. 6’3 and athletic, he’s a mismatch for any defenses secondary.

Barnes is a guy who can make things happen anywhere at the receiver position. He’s got impressive size standing at 6’3 already and has more to grow. He’s a guy who controls who size very well while running around into his routes. He’s going to have a huge off-season.

and he uses it extremely well on the field being able to utilize his frame like a power forward to box out defensive backs. At 6’3 he runs really well and he’s a danger zone in the endzone. In the 2029 class, this guy is dangerous!

The prospect on this 7th grade Georgia Future Stars team with the biggest upside of anyone, was

. He’s listed on the roster at 6-foot-5 and 155-pounds, but we had him measured a little shorter and heavier than that at our PRZ Next Middle School camp, now in the neighborhood of 6-foot-3 and 170-pounds. Regardless, he’s an extremely tall prospect with a little bit of rawness to the way he moves. With a little agility work, this kid will be getting offers by next spring (2025). Depending on how he fills out and how fluid he gets, we’re looking at a big Wide Receiver that will cause matchup nightmares or a Tight End that will require Safety help over the top. He’s going to be a good one.

does not have an identity crisis, he knows exactly who he is. My job is to catch everyone else up to how the 6’1, 160 lbs. receiver stays open. The Lawrenceville Black Knights are a good team bookmarked by Barnes on the outside when they got the ball. On the coin flip, it’s most likely Barnes is one of the tallest players at the skill positions and this is not a secret to his quarterback. He is a solid route runner and is the go to guy under pressure. With the ball in his hands tack on plus two, because he knows how to take care of the football and stretch forward for more yards.
