Hughley completed 16 of 24 throws with five touchdowns and had no sacks or interceptions. I thought he was very good on night one and didn’t pop on night two, but bounced back nicely on Sunday.

Hughley was another guy who had no problem delivering great deep balls despite the wind. The ball was coming out of his hand nicely and he was always getting the ball out on time. Hughley was comfortable making all of the throws and dealing with pressure during some of the drills.

He really took over in big moments last season in the playoffs showing when his team needs him most. In the state championship game, he made certain plays needed for his team that was really a takeover type of moment. I believe with all of his growth and ability, he can have a historic season for the Red Elephants and in the state of Georgia.

He is committed to Clemson for a reason, as he is one of the better players in the state when it comes to being able to move and his accuracy. He plays at Gainesville and has represented them in the best ways recently. He is set for one last season, which is likely to be the best one yet.

The Gainesville QB, already locked in with Clemson, carried that offense like a lion leading his pride, throwing for about 2,467 yards with 33 touchdowns and a 63 % completion rate, while chipping in 279 rushing yards and seven scores on the ground as a dual-threat weapon. He powered the Red Elephants to a 12-3 season and a spot in the state championship, where he accounted for all three Gainesville TDs tossing a 38-yard score and rumbling for two more — even though the title game didn’t go his way. That kid battled every snap and proved he’s one of the premier 2027 QBs in Georgia vocal, fearless, and flat-out talented.
