When [player_tooltip player_id='1832625' first='Jaden' last='O'Neal'] moved to Oklahoma from California and landed in Mustang this offseason, there was certainly a lot of hype surrounding that move. At the time, O'Neal was an OU commit and fast forward to now and he's committed to Florida State. O'Neal has passed the eye test and in a lot of ways, he's lived up to the hype this season. We didn't get to see a full body of work after he sat out a few games with a nagging injury early in the year. But he put up monster numbers when he was on the field and led a very exciting brand of Mustang football. Talking with some of Mustang's coaches, they couldn't say enough about the leader he is off the field and how valuable that has been to this program.

Tuttle quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='473754' first='Cruz' last='Campbell'] is one of a handful of 2026 prospects that are head scratchers for us. Simply put, more schools should be on Campbell and it's insane that he doesn't have more options at this point. Don't get us wrong, he does have a handful but he's right there among the best quarterbacks in this group and in the state in general. We've watched Campbell quite a bit over the last two years and he was one of the most improved players in Oklahoma last season. That trend continued this year where almost everything he does on the football field looks easy. Throw in the fact that he throws one of the best and most consistent deep balls we've seen and you have a great QB prospect.

Choctaw quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='402379' first='Landon' last='Gatson'] has been a 2026 prospect that has always been on our radar. His sophomore season was limited because of an injury and last season, he split time in the backfield with another quarterback. This season, Gatson has been the guy and he's shown why he might be the 2026 quarterback with the highest upside moving forward. First off, you watch Gatson in person and a couple things stand out. He passes the eye test with his physical presence. Then you see him push the ball down field and the senior has an absolute rocket launcher attached to his shoulder. You combine the running ability with his arm strength and you have a very underrated offensive weapon.

Back in 2023, Cascia Hall head coach Joe Medina told us that the Commandos were going to go from a run-heavy offense to more of a pass-first approach. The reason was obvious. They had a quarterback that was going to be able to shoulder that load and lead Cascia Hall's passing attack to new heights. [player_tooltip player_id='1083187' first='Barrett' last='Mullen'] started for the Commandos for three seasons and he rewrote the record books for quarterbacks over the last three years. Mullen had Cascia Hall as one of the top offenses in Class 3A during his time and he has always been a quarterback prospect that has impressed us. The ceiling is high for him moving forward and he's another guy that's going to be able to help a program.

There was a lot of player movement this offseason but arguably the most underrated move was [player_tooltip player_id='434614' first='CJ' last='Turnbull'] going from Millwood to Putnam City. Simply put, Turnbull is a winning quarterback and he has definitely brought that mentality into the Putnam City locker room. This Pirate team was going to be really good this season but adding a player like Turnbull turned them into a true state champion contender. Turnbull played in three straight state title games with Millwood. He knows what it takes to make it to Edmond. The Putnam City signal caller made a massive jump in his overall development between his sophomore and junior seasons. And we think that he could still make another jump at the next level.

Bixby quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='284114' first='Carson' last='Kirby'] is a very intriguing prospect when it comes to the next level but we'll start off by saying we wouldn't bet against him. Kirby has shown steady improvement over the last three seasons and has led the Spartan offense with near perfect execution this season. We've watched a lot of Kirby over the last four years through Friday nights in the fall and 7v7 tournaments in the offseason. He has a winner's mentality and there's a lot of his game that reminds us of Baker Mayfield. Now, he's not as big but he plays the game with the same chip on his shoulder that has never left. It wouldn't be surprising to see Kirby as one of the very best quarterbacks in this group in the next four years.

Lincoln Christian signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1101281' first='Carter' last='Ricke'] is in a similar situation to Kirby at Bixby. He's literally never lost as QB1 of the Bulldogs and it probably wouldn't be wise to bet against him. The Lincoln Christian quarterback has also executed this Bulldog offense to near perfection this season. He's a big part of the reason why (at the time of this publishing) they've won 40 consecutive games. Ricke can absolutely slice up a defense but he's also such an underrated athlete and can beat teams with his legs. He started for Lincoln at safety during his sophomore season. He is a very athletic prospect. Throw in the fact that he's a coach's kid and you have a player that will absolutely help your program at the next level.

Metro Christian quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1292050' first='Kincayde' last='Eng'] is one of the more underrated signal callers in the state's 2026 class. He's the latest quarterback to come through the Metro Christian program and let's face it, this is a program that does a great job when it comes to producing solid quarterbacks that can play at the next level. Eng had a really strong senior season and should have some opportunities to play college football. The thing that stood out to us the most this season was his ability to distribute the ball around and not just lock in on one or two guys. He spread the ball around and kept everyone involved. We'll also throw out the fact that he is a very underrated runner when the play breaks down.

The season didn't end the way they'd like, but we are confident in saying this was Pryor's best team in school history. Leading the way was quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1366322' first='Braden' last='Ward'] and he has a lot in common with the other quarterbacks on this breakdown. Three year starter, put up monster numbers, led his program to new heights. Ward emerged this season as one of the state's best quarterbacks. He's always been a guy that has been knocking on the door but this season, he erased any doubt about his abilities at the quarterback position. He's another great example of a quarterback that is just going to help a program at the next level. He has been outstanding this season at spreading the ball around in this offense.

At the time of this publishing, Lawton MacArthur quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='670654' first='Aivan' last='Locklin'] has the Highlanders one win shy of playing for the state championship. Locklin is another three-year starter that we've watched quite a bit over the last few years. Prior to this season, the thing that really stood out to us about his game was the accuracy on the passes down the field. He was right there with the best in the class when it came to pushing the ball down field. This season, he's really impressed us with his ability to run the football. In some of Lawton MacArthur's biggest games this season, Locklin has provided the difference between winning and losing by taking off and running. The dual-threat abilities has been fun to watch.

Jones quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1179996' first='Acyn' last='Hansen'] is another quarterback prospect that made a huge jump this season. Last year was his first season as QB1 of the Longhorns and his jump from junior year to senior year was significant. Similar to a few other guys on this breakdown, Hansen has his team one win away from playing for the state championship and they might be the team to beat.

Ada quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='911940' first='Brock' last='Boyles'] announced his commitment just a few weeks ago to stay close to home. He's planning on playing football and baseball at East Central. We can't speak on his baseball abilities but he's a terrific quarterback that has been incredibly consistent over the last two seasons. He started early for Ada and went through growing pains but came out a better quarterback.

[player_tooltip player_id='206345' first='Conner' last='Quintero'] - Chisholm

Chisholm quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='206345' first='Conner' last='Quintero'] has had quite the high school football career. He finished things up in Chisholm this season and he took full advantage of his one year with the Longhorns. He rewrote the season passing record book with Chisholm. He's definitely a QB prospect to keep an eye on over the next two months because there is plenty of talent there.

[player_tooltip player_id='402376' first='Jeramiah' last='Ssettimba'] - Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='402376' first='Jeramiah' last='Ssettimba'] is one of the more unique quarterbacks on this breakdown. He had a really solid junior season, despite the win-loss record. He then had to battle for his spot this offseason and he won that battle. He's on a team full of marquee names but he has still found a way to stand out. He's another example of a winning quarterback.

[player_tooltip player_id='935005' first='Kane' last='Foreman'] - Pawhuska

Pawhuska quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='935005' first='Kane' last='Foreman'] is another signal caller that took advantage of his new surroundings this season. Foreman moved up from 8-man football to 11-man football this offseason when he moved to Pawhuska. He has a strong arm and made the transition look very easy early on in the year. Like several others, Foreman has the Huskies one win away from the title game.
