has the Highlanders one win shy of playing for the state championship. Locklin is another three-year starter that we’ve watched quite a bit over the last few years. Prior to this season, the thing that really stood out to us about his game was the accuracy on the passes down the field. He was right there with the best in the class when it came to pushing the ball down field. This season, he’s really impressed us with his ability to run the football. In some of Lawton MacArthur’s biggest games this season, Locklin has provided the difference between winning and losing by taking off and running. The dual-threat abilities has been fun to watch.

is heading into his third season as the starter for the Highlanders and he’s in the argument for being the top quarterback in Class 5A football this fall. When you look around Locklin, you see plenty of talent and there’s a reason why he’s been able to be so productive over the last two seasons. Last year, he was terrific and this season, if he takes another step forward, his stock will continue to point up. And one thing that has impressed us is Locklin’s work ethic over the last two years. He’s been incredibly busy in each offseason and earlier this summer, he started to tear it up on the camp circuit and started earning his first offers.

is one of, if not the most intriguing quarterbacks to watch in Class 5A this season. We’ve really liked Locklin’s game since early on in the 2023 season. Combine that with watching him a handful of times this offseason along with the talented players he has around him and you have a quarterback that could absolutely blow up from a production standpoint. Locklin put up big numbers last season but we think that the production could continue to rise this season. He has a terrific arm and accuracy on the deep ball. And the Highlanders have some outstanding athletes to make a big play down the field.

had a good weekend while we got a chance to watch C4 Nation. Locklin came into the tournament as one of the top 2026 quarterbacks to watch and he lived up to the hype during games we witnessed. Locklin has a strong arm and it was on display throughout the weekend. As we’ve mentioned multiple times this week, the quarterbacks this weekend had to deal with windy conditions and that could have had a much bigger impact on the signal callers. Locklin is going to be a name to watch moving forward. We really like what Lawton MacArthur has coming back this fall and it starts with Locklin at quarterback. The state’s 2026 class is growing deeper at the quarterback position and Locklin is one of the early standouts. There’s a lot of potential here.

will be playing for C4 this weekend and the Highlander signal caller is going to benefit from having some of the best overall talent around him. Locklin can absolutely sling the rock and after checking out some of his film from last fall, we’re really impressed with his ability to push the ball down field. When you combine his arm strength with the talent he has at receiver in a 7v7 setting, you have a combination that could lead to Locklin stealing the show this weekend in Broken Arrow.

at the quarterback position. Locklin jumped all the way up to #30 overall and took another big leap at the quarterback position. The Highlander standout impressed us last season when we got a chance to see him in person and from what we got to see on tape. He certainly benefits from having some absolute weapons but he has some traits at the quarterback position that you don’t see very often. The biggest is his ability to throw his guy open. Locklin doesn’t need to see his man open before pulling the trigger.
