has been in the same boat as James and a few other guys on this breakdown. He’s been on the radar since his freshman season and it’s been fun to watch his evolution as a prospect in the 2026 class. Like James, he’s always been considered one of the best guys in this class and it’s easy to see why. He’s a complete wide receiver and while he’s also been able to help out the defensive side of the ball in the secondary, there is no doubt that he’s at his best on offense. He can beat defenses deep with his speed. He can beat defenses in a jump ball scenario with his size. He can also beat defenses after he makes the catch with his elusiveness.

comes into this season as one of the very best at his position in the state of Oklahoma. He emerged following his freshman season and has been considered one of the state’s best ‘26 wide receivers ever since. Last season, Rushing finished with nearly 1,000 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. He comes into this year looking to leave no doubt that he’s the top receiver in Class 5A and arguably the best receiver in the state. It also helps that he’s been Locklin’s top target for the last three years. The chemistry these guys have will certainly help them as they take the field this season.

is a prospect that it would be foolish to forget about as more wide receivers start to emerge in the 2026 class. A southern Oklahoma standout, Rushing is one of the best wide receivers in this class and it’s been that way for a while now. Every time we’ve watched Rushing in person, he’s been one of the best players on the field and he’s incredibly to slow down in a 1 on 1 situation. The term “50-50 ball” gets brought up with receivers and for Rushing, no 50-50 ball ever feels like that much of a toss up. More times than not, it feels like the Lawton MacArthur standout is going to find a way to come down with it.

at the wide receiver position. After watching his film from his sophomore season, we were sold on Rushing being one of the top wide receivers in the state’s 2026 class and a top overall prospect. Rushing is the definition of a “big play” wide receiver where he uses his length and overall speed to beat opposing defenses and make big catches down the field. After watching Rushing in person earlier this season, another thing that really stood out was his ability after the catch. In that particular game, Rushing did most of his damage on short routes where he would make the catch and it usually took two or three defenders to bring him down. He’s definitely a marquee name at the position.

is the third of the “big three” from Lawton MacArthur’s 2026 class that have already grabbed plenty of headlines. Rushing is in a similar position to Auston where he’s considered one of the top overall prospects in the state’s 2026 class and not just a top guy at his position. Rushing was incredibly productive last season and is looking to take his game to new heights this season. There were times when we watched him this offseason and he completely took over a game on the 7v7 circuit. He has that potential and we’re fired up to see if he takes over a game on a Thursday or Friday night in the fall with the pads on.
