was nursing a nagging injury and wasn’t able to go through the testing portion of the camp. That didn’t stop him from absolutely dominating when it came time to compete. Quintero impressed immediately when it was time to throw. Whether it was the individual drills or during 1 on 1 competitions, everything Quintero did just looked natural and easy at times. And that comes from countless hours of dedication and work. Every time we’ve seen Quintero in person at a camp or 7v7 tournament, he finds ways to impress. The 2026 signal caller is waiting for his opportunity to make an impact on Friday nights. But if Sunday’s performance was an indication, we think that he could enjoy a breakout season in 2024.

A lot of what we wrote about Gatson can be repeated here with Stillwater quarterback

and it’s not a coincidence that these prospects are ranked right next to one another. Both quarterback prospects earned D1 offers very early on in their high school careers. Both are having to wait their turn as Quintero has seen some playing time but it has been limited for the defending 6A-2 state champions. We’ve seen plenty of Quintero during the offseasons at various camps as well as 7v7 tournaments. He always looks the part in those settings. The only thing left to see is him shining on Friday nights. Like Gatson, Quintero is still a prospect to keep an eye on moving forward because of his high ceiling.

And just like at Choctaw, defending 6A-2 champion Stillwater seems to have a quarterback battle this offseason with one quarterback already having a handful of D1 offers. 2026 signal caller

moved to Stillwater from Enid before last fall and saw very limited playing time as a freshman behind two-year starter Gage Gundy. But Quintero also has been on the radar for about a year now as he picked up his first D1 offer around this time last year. And here recently, a few more schools have offered Quintero, including Tulsa and their new staff. Quintero has had a really strong offseason as he performed well at our camp back in January and then in various 7v7 tournaments this offseason. Every time we watch him spin the ball in those settings, it’s easy to see why he has the attention of college coaches already. But there’s still more for the Stillwater signal caller to prove. He has to win the QB1 job and back up all the hype with his performance on Friday nights this fall.

Quintero is right up there as a quarterback that I liked watching all weekend for all classes. There is a reason why he currently holds a power 5 offer from the Oregon Ducks. Quintero has a good release on the ball and makes good reads on the defense. Quintero made several throws throughout the weekend that had me scratching my head wondering how he made that in a tight window. He shows good footwork and consistently made good decisions all weekend. Quintero will heat up as a sophomore at Stillwater and will continue to pick up college offers.
