Sunday, Minnesota's premier offseason camp kicked off in Plymouth, with more than 220 born-and-bred Land of 10,000 Lakes prospects descending on the Plymouth Community Center for a good ol' day of football and competition. Split between two sessions, the WRs, TEs, QBs, and DBs that made up the talent-rich Session 2 of the PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series, were led through a series of athletic tests, including the 40, a 5-10-5 short shuttle, broad jump, and L-drill, before they broke up for positional drills led by local DIII coaches, and all in front of the eyes of a variety of college coaches who arrived in Plymouth to see the plethora of Minnesota talent. To cap off the event, the WRs lined up against their DB counterparts for 1v1 route running reps, with speed, explosiveness, pinpoint accuracy, and big plays in abundance. The skill players showed up and showed out, with nonstop, high-energy effort, and a ton of highlight-reel worthy plays, wins, and reps from Minnesotans across the state and across four different graduating classes. Check out the top performers named to Session 2's All-Camp Team below.

--

Oliver's MVPs:

QB MVP: Joe Mapson (Andover) 2026.

WR MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1255132' first='Jay' last='Sanders'] (MPLS North) 2026.

TE MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1522534' first='Colten' last='Gunderson'] (Prior Lake) 2026.

DB MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1246911' first='Jaxon' last='Brown'] (Wayzata) 2027.

Quarterback

First Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='1658191' first='Joseph' last='Mapson'] (Andover) 2026. 6', 175 lbs.

My personal QB MVP, [player_tooltip player_id='1658191' first='Joseph' last='Mapson'] is another 2026 who I think has done an outstanding job of grinding, improving, and raising his stock throughout the 2024-25 offseason. Coming off an excellent performance at the 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp, Mapson transferred the momentum into the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series, checking more boxes and blowing the roof off the testing, positional drills, and 1v1 portions of the Combine Series. After talking to some local MIAC coaches at the event, we came up with a comp for Mapson that I really like, and that is to former Minneapolis Southwest c/o 2011 grad, Mr. Football Finalist, and legendary Augsburg Auggie QB Ayrton Scott, one of the most dynamic and productive players in all of Division III history. Mapson is an impressive athlete, clocking a 4.75 40, 4.28 and 4.35 shuttle, and 9'9 and 9'7 broad at 6', 175 lbs. with a 6'2" wingspan, but more importantly, the arm talent is in your face and obvious. I saw Mapson throw some absolute darts to receivers working to all three levels of the field, putting the ball on a rope on tougher out-breaking routes with the ball snapping out of his arm with impressive velocity and snap. Mapson has a smooth, compact throwing motion, one of the quickest releases in the state, is consistent in his timing, and impressively accurate. No wonder he has DII offers already.

[player_tooltip player_id='1419908' first='Ali' last='Farfan'] (St. Paul Johnson) 2026. 6', 170 lbs.

The coach's MVP from the loaded QB group at Plymouth's PrepRedzoneMN 2025 Combine Series, 651 product and St. Paul Johnson's experienced gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='1419908' first='Ali' last='Farfan'] had a stock rising showing on Sunday, leaving with some hardware and a projected rankings bump due to his individual performance. Farfan - who has threw a ton of reps over the course of his career and is also an experienced 7v7 QB with the Hitmen 7v7 squad - has a big arm that could stretch the field with accuracy, and he was one of the most consistent throwers throughout the course of the camp, finding WRs all over the field and on a variety of routes with pinpoint ball placement. When this kid is hot and throwing with confidence, he's hard to stop. Gotta love the St. Paul Public Schools getting some love on the All-Camp Team.

Honorable Mention:

[player_tooltip player_id='1581367' first='Jamison' last='Mackey'] (Undecided) 2029. 5'9, 133 lbs.

A well-known name coming up through the middle school ranks in Minnesota, Mackey is a good name in the ever-lasting quest to find the Next Great MN Quarterback, as there's arm talent in that developing right shoulder, albeit a lot of runway left needed in his development. Mackey can stretch the field and has good overall command of the ball, especially for his age. We'll see what happens the next couple of years with the young gunslinger.

[player_tooltip player_id='1248630' first='Eli' last='Rodemeyer'] (Byron) 2027. 6'1, 175 lbs.

Buy stock in the Byron Bears now, as the 4A growing talent factory has quite the impressive 2025 roster and 2027 class in particular, led by rising two-year starter at QB [player_tooltip player_id='1248630' first='Eli' last='Rodemeyer']. A big, confident presence in the pocket for the Bears, Rodemeyer is a verified 6'1+ with a 6'2" wingspan and plenty of room to fill in

[player_tooltip player_id='1120517' first='Blake' last='Sieben'] (Anoka) 2027.

I'm watching the Anoka QB battle about as closely as any team's going into 2025, and presumed frontrunner [player_tooltip player_id='1120517' first='Blake' last='Sieben'] had some good throws throughout the 1v1 session of the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series that caught my attention. Smooth throwing mechanics, accurate to all three levels of the field, and good timing throughout the event, despite the variety of receivers he was lining up with in Plymouth.

[player_tooltip player_id='1241143' first='Madden' last='Brown'] (Hopkins) 2028. 6', 182 lbs.

A well-built 180+ pounder representing Hopkins' 2028 class, freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1241143' first='Madden' last='Brown'] had a couple great tosses I saw in person on Sunday at the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series,. With a big, strong arm for his age, Brown was leading WRs open and playing and tossing the pigskin around with confidence. Seeing that he has no tape from the 2024 season, PRzMN was pumpe to finally get som eyes on.

--

Wide Receiver/Tight End

First Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='1255132' first='Jay' last='Sanders'] (MPLS North) 2026. 5'9, 177 lbs.

The #1 most dominant athlete at the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN 2025 Combine Series, regardless of position, goes to MPLS North product Jay Sanders. This dude has sure bounced back from in-season knee surgery in 2024, clocking a blazing 4.6 and 4.65 40, as well as a 4.4 shuttle, and he was nothing short of elite during 1v1s. With athleticism well above his peers, Sanders floated through the air when playing the ball like a Bruce Lee movie, and he flashed some frankly shocking one-handed grabs, 50/50 snags, and just about any kind of athletic feat a WR can achieve while dominating the competition. Sanders was so clean at the top of the route, showing cut-on-a-dime suddenness and twitch, and he accelerated out of his breaks with impressive burst. Sanders also could beat every DB in attendance, deep, and with ease, I may add, and was overall unstoppable during 1v1 competition. With a powerfully built 177-pound frame that passed the eye test, it's hard not to think that the younger Sanders, just like older brother Mario, is a P4 talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='551354' first='Hayden' last='Tischler'] (Mankato East) 2026. 5'11, 173 lbs.

Undoubtedly one of the biggest stock risers from the 2024-25 offseason, Mankato East's [player_tooltip player_id='551354' first='Hayden' last='Tischler'] - who put together some fun and productive tape from the 2024 season - is nothing short of outstanding in an unpadded camp setting. With a 6'1 wing, good speed that can win vertically (4.81 in the 40 Sunday, we've clocked him even faster), and twitch, Tischler also went 4.31 and 4.46 shuttle, 9'8 and 9'6 broad, and 7 and 7.09 in the L-drill, creating a platform that launched him into First Team All-Camp honors during his 1v1 performance. The Mankato East product produced more than his fair share of "oohs", "aahs", and gasps throughout his 1v1 rep, in large part due to his in-your-face body control that showed up in his fast-twitch and short-area movements throughout a route, as well as bounce and ball skills when playing the ball in the air. Tischler was taking ankles, doing CBs and SAFs dirty at the top of the route, and overall having his way with the talented DB group, catapulting his name into WR MVP contention as well as a guaranteed rise up the rankings. Dare I say it, but Tischler was nearly unguardable on Sunday in Plymouth.

[player_tooltip player_id='1522534' first='Colten' last='Gunderson'] (Prior Lake) 2026. 6'7, 211 lbs.

Of all the talent to grace the Plymouth Community Center last Sunday, I was most excited to see Prior Lake's [player_tooltip player_id='1522534' first='Colten' last='Gunderson']. After finally seeing the now verified 6'7, 211 lber. live & in person, there's no way you can't tell me that he's a P4 WR/TE hybrid. With rare size at the position, as well as outstanding bounce and vertical ability, Gunderson really showed us some twitch on Sunday, posting a 4.5 and 4.56 shuttle, 8'11 broad, and 7.22 and 7.44 L-drill for some can't-miss, mouth-watering testing times on a physical freak at the WR spot. Gunderson was flat-out phenomenal in 50/50 and contested catch situations, effortlessly floating through the air and snagging the rock with his massive catch radius smack dab out of the air with nothing the DB could do about it. His soft hands never dropped a pass, and his body control and ability to play back-shoulder passes, high balls, and routine misthrows are such a valuable plus in his game. he's the biggest mismatch and hardest 1v1v cover I've seen in my time with PRzMN, and Gunderson was also shifty at the top of the route, fluid in his COD movement and get-off, and was strong at working through the press and contact throughout a route. Such a fun watch and such a unique prospect in the heralded MN 2026 class. Should be a huge summer for Mr. Gunderson!

Second Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='1626389' first='Brady' last='Kemp'] (Lakeville North) 2027. 6'4, 232 lbs.

Massive in both his physical size and his promise as a gridiron recruit, Lakeville North's [player_tooltip player_id='1626389' first='Brady' last='Kemp'] measured in at 6'4, 232 lbs. with more room to grow and fill in. Although I knew Kemp was a good pass catcher coming into the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series, the sophomore really put on a show in Plymouth, displaying a skillset that lends itself to route running and catching the rock than I initially expected. Kemp, like any good TE, made a ton of strong catches through contact, tight coverage, and DBs draped all over him due to how threatening he was out of his breaks at such a big size. The 232 lber. was a contested catch machine in Plymouth, showing a knack for creating separation at the top of the route, and he caught anything and everything thrown his way, highlighted by an eye-catching one-handed snag fully extended that the sophomore made look easy. Already a starter on LN's varsity team, as well as a ferocious blocker, Kemp expanded his skillset and my projection of him on Sunday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580268' first='Anthony' last='Deline'] (Minneapolis North) 2026. 5'11, 167 lbs.

A receiver I was itching to see live and in person, Minneapolis North was well represented once again by standout receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1580268' first='Anthony' last='Deline']. A recent offeree from DII powerhouse Minnesota State-Mankato in the Mavs initial star-studded wave of 2026 instate offers that were all strong evaluations from the NSIC big boy, Deline showed why he is already highly sought-after live and in person, sporting a thick, powerful 5'11, 167 lb. frame with a 6'3 wingspan, and he combined it with great top-end speed (he was clocked in the 4.6s at last June's Minnesota Gophers prospect camp), as well as a 4.51 and 4.54 shuttle, 8'9 and 9' broad, and 7.62 L-drill from last Sunday's event. Deline was a consistent deep threat with explosive playmaking ability, and just like on tape, Deline had silky smooth COD skills as a route runner, with an especially impressive ability to cut at top speed. He'll be seeing a deserved rankings bump for his efforts in Plymouth.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220010' first='Kaden' last='Konkler'] (Spring Lake Park) 2028. 6'2, 169 lbs.

A First Team member of the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series All-Freshman Team, Spring Lake Park's Konkler is going to see a big-time rankings bump after his showing during 1v1s on Sunday. Konkler was outstanding at creating separation, in large part thanks to his noticeable twitch, as backed up in testing by his 4.41 and 4.48 shuttle and 7.18 and 7.38 L-drill, and his 9" hands caught anything and everything that was thrown his way in Plymouth. In addition to his 9' broad, Konkler was a consistent deep threat who threatened and beat DBs going vertical more often than not, and showed loose hips that he could unlock smoothly throughout a route. I also liked his shiftiness at the top of the route, body control when tracking and playing the ball in the air, and winning at the catch point against older and varsity-experienced DBs. To really highlight his athleticism, Hubbard had a ridiculous 1v1 catch that got the crowd on its feet and really got me juiced about his athleticism. Hubbard also went 4.79 in the 40 and 9' in the broad from what we have of his testing numbers.

Third Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='212361' first='Jabari' last='Strader'] (Edina) 2026. The son of Wayzata High School's head coach Lambert Brown, sophomore Jaxon was a varsity starter in the 6A ranks last season for the Trojans, primarily as an explosive slot receiver with a nearly 18 YPC average, but his elite short-area quickness and twitch, as well as overall body control, have me very bullish about him as a nickle at the next level. Brown had one of the best testing performances of any prospect at the Showcase, popping off a 4.59 and 4.62 40, 4.14 and 4.02 shuttle (!), 9'3 and 9'2 broad, and 6.72 and 6.84 L-drill to spotlight some spectacular athleticism, and he couldn't have put it to better use during 1v1s. Brown was electric during 1v1s, with the best closing speed on the field and the top-end speed to stay on top of anyone and everyone going vertical. When the ball was in the air, Brown was deadly at undercutting the receiver and plucking the ball out of the air, and he posted the most INTs of any DB in attendance, despite splitting reps at receiver. The combination of length, physicality, and twitch helped him win at the LOS more often than not, as well as both stay in phase with streaking WRs while disrupting their timing and knocking them off their marks, and Dose was especially aggressive and productive at the catch point. Dose could also carry WRs going vertical, and had good balance and short-area movements for a bigger CB. With a focused and competitive attitude, Willis Jr. also showed good body control and short-area quickness that helped him stay in the hip pocket of receivers throughout a route, including when going vertical, as well as disruptive length at the catch point, and although he was a bit too handsy at times, it was nothing that reps and coaching can clean up in a jiffy, so I left the Plymouth Community Center thinking that the rising senior was one of the best cornerbacks of the day. The Centaur was simply naturally sticky, and he's going to see a big-time rankings bump after his performance at the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series.

[player_tooltip player_id='1506832' first='Heston' last='Anderson'] (MPLS Washburn) 2026. 5'9, 176 lbs.

A surprise name out of the 612 that I somehow didn't have on my radar coming into the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series, Washburn Miller [player_tooltip player_id='1506832' first='Heston' last='Anderson'] sure made me pay for my lack of detail, as he was a physical eye-catcher and first-off-the-bus cornerback that measured in at a swole 5'9, 176 lbs. with muscles and muscles and the athletic data to back it up. Anderson posted an eye-catching 4.66 and 4.73 40, not to mention a 4.35 and 4.41 shuttle, 9'8 and 9'1 broad jump, and 7.06 L-drill. That's First Team All-Testing Team type numbers, and he backed it up during 1v1s with some emphatic wins throughout the day of competition. With his 6' wing and noticeable upper body strength, Anderson was lethal and disruptive when he was able to get his hands on a receiver to throw off their timing, and he was combative and effective at the catch point thanks to his physicality. Anderson was also arguably the twitchiest and most explosive CB when getting out of his breaks, and although he needs to stay confident and consistent in his eye discipline, Anderson has all of the tools and a ton of upside when projecting the cornerback to the next level. Someone's due for a big rankings debut!

[player_tooltip player_id='1395226' first='Oliver' last='Kuhn'] (Breck) 2026. 6'1, 198 lbs.

Quite the showing from 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series Breakout Performer [player_tooltip player_id='1395226' first='Oliver' last='Kuhn'], who I don't believe was on our radar going into Sunday's camp. One of the biggest DBs in attendance, the Breck High School product measured in at a verified 6'1, 198 pounds and with a near 6'3" wingspan, and that size and size was more than useful during 1v1s, where he came alive during competition. Kuhn had the long speed to carry WRs going vertical, and his smooth COD ability helped him stay in phase with receivers through a variety of different routes. Kuhn also used his big frame to disrupt receivers at the catch point and throughout a route, and he overall had a strong day in coverage during 1v1s. Great showing by the Breck Mustang.

Third Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='1612778' first='Brody' last='Thompson'] (Elk River) 2026. 6'1, 165 lbs.

One of the more playmaking DBs at the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series, Elk River's [player_tooltip player_id='1612778' first='Brody' last='Thompson'] used his length, experience on a 5A state title-winning island, and athleticism to pull off some of the more circus, highlight-reel worthy INTs of the 1v1 portion of Session 2. Big-time ball skills, soft hands, and confidence playing man coverage. Thompson was equally fun to watch as he was effective.

[player_tooltip player_id='1248616' first='Beau' last='Nicklay'] (Byron) 2027. 5'11, 172 lbs.

What is in the water in Byron?! The Bears are pumping out top-tier athletes at an alarming rate as of late, and their 2027 class is looking particularly stacked, led by the ultra-athletic [player_tooltip player_id='1248616' first='Beau' last='Nicklay']. Nicklay once again caught everyone's attention during testing, popping off a 4.75 40, two 4.28 shuttles, and a 9'1 broad jump to go along with a 6'1 wingspan. Nicklay was also a standout and natural playmaker during 1v1s to back up the athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633430' first='Rashid' last='Karim'] (Champlin Park) 2027. 6'2, 165 lbs.

One of the biggest and longest DBs of the standout performers at the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series, Champlin Park's [player_tooltip player_id='1633430' first='Rashid' last='Karim'] measured in with a 6'3 wingspan and 9.75" hands, along with a 4.66 shuttle and a 8'6 and 8'5 broad jump, and if he keeps growing and filling in, I could sees some linebacker in his future. Especially with his coverage ability as a sophomore safety, that mobility at his size and frame are quite intriguing, as he was long and physical at the catch point, got out of his breaks quickly, and had one of the better INTs I saw during 1v1 competition in Plymouth. Lots to get excited about in this young Rebels defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1242812' first='Kashawn' last='Parker-Watkins'] (Brooklyn Center) 2028. 5'8, 138 lbs.

Another Brooklyn Center young buck who came alive during 1v1s, Parker-Watkins took a ton of 1v1 reps throughout the afternoon and was focused, competitive, and tough in each and every one. The Centaur played bigger than his size suggests, winning and breaking up passes against far larger WRs and TEs from 6A heavyweight programs and rising seniors far more experienced. Parker-Watkins did a good job of getting out of his breaks with pace, showed off some ball skills on a high-pointed PBU against a Lakeville TE, and had a couple nice break ups on deeper posts and fades further downfield. Overall, he broke passes on a variety of different routes, showing a sticky and competitive play style that has a lot of runway and reps left in his career.

Honorable Mention:

[player_tooltip player_id='1651475' first='Kevin' last='Tennin-Gray'] (Holy Family) 2028. 5'11, 162 lbs.

A promising freshman whom I got eyes on this winter at the MN Grind 7v7 tryout, where he was competing against 15U competition, Holy Family's first year [player_tooltip player_id='1651475' first='Kevin' last='Tennin-Gray'] originally signed up and competed as a DB, where most of his 2024 film is at, but I was also impressed with Tennin-Gray jumped to the other side of the LOS and took some reps at WR. With noticeable length, Tennin-Gray was disruptive at the catch point and picked up a few hard-earned PBUs on routes around the first and second levels of the field. I also liked how loose his hips were, which showed up on both sides of the ball, and am excited to see his continual development now that he has some real experience and reps against upperclassmen opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='1658006' first='Rodney' last='Pierce-Tyler'] Jr. (Brooklyn Center) 2028. 6', 160 lbs.

Yet another talented piece of Brooklyn Center's budding 2028 class, I actually played at Minneapolis Southwest with [player_tooltip player_id='1658006' first='Rodney' last='Pierce-Tyler'] Jr.'s dad back in the day, as he was a couple years older than me with the Lakers, so it's definitely humbling to see his eldest child already in the high school ranks. Pierce-Tyler Jr.'s dad was a big, strong, and long receiver with my Lakers back in the day, and his son is trending towards the same build, already a sturdry 6', 160 pounds with a 6'1 wing and 9" hands, and he popped off a 4.56 and 4.69 shuttle and two 8'3 broad jumps for a strong foundation of athleticism. The rising sophomore was a physical press CB who was especially effective when he got his hands on a wideout, and it's worth mentioning that Pierce-Tyler Jr. is a tough kid who was battling a lingering hamstring injury, which makes his multiple 1v1 coverage wins even more impressive. Tough, versatile, long, and physical, I like where junior is trending on the recruiting trail.

[player_tooltip player_id='1656486' first='Bryant' last='Kulzer'] (Detroit Lakes) 2026. 5'10, 167 lbs.

A new name to add to add to the deep 2026 DB positional group on the PRzMN 2026 Big Board, DB [player_tooltip player_id='1656486' first='Bryant' last='Kulzer'] was another top performer from a strong Detroit Lakes contingent that made their way to Plymouth, and although he took some licks throughout the day, Kulzer is a good athlete with a solid build who checked the boxes of fast, quick, strong, and explosive. He was a tough, fearless competitor who got his fair share of Ws throughout the day as well.

Lamar McInnis (Elk River) 2027. 5'10, 160 lbs.

Good all-around showing from the budding Elk River sophomore defensive back McInnis, who was fluid and quick during all three portions of the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series. He'll get a nice bump off the WL now that we've gotten some eyes on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1492281' first='Colton' last='Wacker'] (Chaska) 2026. 6'1, 189 lbs.

Stock rising performance by Chaska Hawks SAF [player_tooltip player_id='1492281' first='Colton' last='Wacker'], a big, long, and physical 6'1, 189 lber. with nearly 10" hands and more speed than I was expecting from the thumper. Wacker went 4.82 in the 40, 7.44 in the L-drill, and 9'8 and 9'7 in the broad jump to pass the testing portion of the 2025 PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series with success, and he was long and stingy during 1v1s with a ton of coachability and competitiveness in his makeup. Soar Hawks!

[player_tooltip player_id='1120525' first='Coby' last='Hammell'] (Caledonia) 2027. 6'2, 192 lbs.

A dynamic athlete out of traditional powerhouse Caledonia, [player_tooltip player_id='1120525' first='Coby' last='Hammell'] is on a short list of athletes who competed on JV last season who I think could make serious varsity waves this fall. A well-built, filled in 6'2, 190+, Hammell took reps on both sides of the ball in Plymouth, and as a WR, he showed off a big catch radius, soft hands, and a ton of vertical ability that he put to good use in 1v1s. Hammell earned a ton of 1v1 wins throughout the afternoon and is a competitive, athletic, versatile prospect who can rise to the occasion and the moment.

--
