You gotta make the most of an opportunity to see a Rochester-area prospect in an offseason camp setting in the 612, and PRZMN thoroughly enjoyed the up-close-and-personal evaluation of Byron’s talented 2027 signal-caller

did a lot of the heavy lifting offensively (and defensively) for Byron that day in Richfield, so seeing Byron’s QB in the spotlight in a camp setting was a really well-needed eval right before the update dropped. Rodemeyer is fresh off an early offer from NSIC heavyweight Augustana, a great start for an up-and-coming QB’s recruitment, and I walked away from Savage very impressed with the Byron product at this off-platform Elite Academy session. Rodemeyer is overall strong and accurate on the move and off-platform and is able to put the pigskin on a rope from tougher arm angles both stationary and while on the move. I think Rodemeyer was the best performer (besides

) at a lot of the impressive drill work ran by 612Qs in the latter half of the workout. His clean, consistent footwork and the fact that his upper and lower body were well in-synch really aided him in an off-platform context, namely a drill where the QB spins away 180 degrees to their left away from a rusher, then plant and deliver a strike to a WR. Rodemeyer also looked good punching up, flowing left, and hitting a stationary target while on the move, as well as a ton of great reps with pressure in his face. Rodemeyer also had a strong showing throwing competitive sail routes in a “hit or go home” sudden death competition that really allowed the QBs to show off some arm talent. Good showing overall from the Top 100 overall prospect and Top 5 QB in Minnesota’s Class of 2027.

continued to show why he is one of the premium QBs in MN for the class of 2027. Rodemeyer completed over 61% of his passes for over 1100 passing yards and 18 TDs while rushing for 115 yards (6.4 YPC) and 1 rushing TD. Rodemeyer is excellent in the pocket, showing impressive power slinging the ball down the field with a flick of the wrist while also excelling in RPO-plays. Rodemeyer also shows a sneaky level of mobility, moving out of the pocket well, and showing great accuracy on the run. Rodemeyer will continue to generate a lot of buzz entering his senior season as a premeir prospect among this upcoming senior recruiting class.

One of the hottest rising prospects out of the class of 2027, Rodemeyer is both a top QB and one of the top players overall. He was named as an All-Conference QB last season, and he only looks like he’s getting better. His biggest strength as a quarterback is his versatility. He’s an accurate QB who can be used successfully in a variety of ways. Pocket passing, play-action passes, designed runs, all things well within Rodemeyer’s bag. His ball placement at its best is some of the highest level in his class. He’s got a silky smooth release and is the signal caller of one of the best teams in AAAA. The sky is the limit for Rodemeyer during his junior year.

It seems like every week I sing Rodemeyer’s praises, but as far as I’m concerned, he deserves everything he’s getting. He ran a disgusting 4.28 in the pro-agility drill and followed that up with dozens of great balls throughout the afternoon. He showcased stellar accuracy and touch, especially on short to intermediate routes, which will be evident in the way he dices up defenses next season. When he needs to let his arm loose, he can, and he doesn’t let it float all day either; it’ll be thrown on a rope. I like everything Rodemeyer has going right now, and I can’t wait for his junior year.

It’s not hard to find nice things to say about Rodemeyer. 4.0 GPA, three-sport athlete (Football/Basketball/Track) returning All-District, All-Conference, the list goes on and on. As a sophomore, Rodemeyer passed for over 1,000 yards on a stunning 65% completion percentage. His tape is also super impressive. It opens up with a perfectly placed deep ball thrown off platform and on the run. This theme is prevalent throughout his film. Top-notch ball placement on every route across the field, and he’s only a 2027. Expect Rodemeyer to draw eyes during his junior season.

I have no idea how Byron keeps producing such high-level talent, but Rodemeyer is next in a long line of top-notch Byron prospects. A returning starter who was an All-District 1st Team member last season, Rodemeyer showcased his athleticism early in the day with a 4.92 40 and a 4.39 pro agility time. When it came to throwing portion of the camp, Rodemeyer stood out with a big arm and did a fantastic job of leading wideouts on deeper routes. Byron looks like it’s going to be a problem again, especially with Rodemeyer at the helm.

What is in the water in Byron? The past three seasons have seen the Class 4A competitor rise into the ranks of a legitimate title contender, and a lot of that has to do with the athleticism on their roster the past handful of years. Not sure if the Bears hired a new S&C coordinator, if the kids have bought in more to the strength program, or if the class of natural athleticism has improved, or some combination of the three, but the Bears 2024 roster was packed to the brim with talent & athleticism, a lot of which was recently verified at the inaugural UW-Eau Claire Combine. Rodemeyer was one of a handful of Byron athletes to show up and show out at the WIAC contender’s workout, measuring in at nearly 6’1, 175 lbs. with a near 6’4 wing and going 30″+ in the vert, 9′ in the broad, 6.84 and 6.82 L-drill, and 4.81 and 4.85 in the 40 for one of the stronger performances of the athletes in attendance. Without any film as a freshman, Rodemeyer was sequestered on the Watchlist, but he took over the QB1 role for Byron as an underclassman and first-year starter, far from an easy task no matter the class of football you play. The sophomore led Byron to a 9-2 record and a district and section championship, earning a berth in the state playoffs, and he posted 85 completions on 131 attempts (65%) for 1,075 yards and 9 TDs along with 187 rushing yards and 4 TDs on the ground. With varsity starter status, varsity production, good film, and verified athleticism behind him, Rodemeyer debuts as a Top-50 prospect after spending a season the Watchlist, a high rise that doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.
The film shows a mobile right-handed signal-caller who is accurate to all three levels of the field, mechanically sound and consistent, and can move the chains with both his arms and his legs. Rodemeyer can stretch the field and lead receivers open, as well as drop the ball into a breadbasket downfield, and his smooth mechanics help him get the ball out of his hand quickly. He reads the field and processes quickly, make good decisions with the football and is safe and accurate, especially for a first-year varsity starter, and throws a good ball on the move. He’s also a read-option QB who is dangerous when he tucks and takes off, and his good burst can get him to the third level of a defense quickly. It’s hard to find QBs that are poised enough to methodically and accurately take their offense down the field, but Rodemeyer looks comfortable, confident, and athletic beyond his years. He puts his WRs in positions to succeed and make plays and is a promising QB coming out of the 2027 class. Stay on the look out for Byron the next two season with Rodemeyer at the helm.

. Eli had one of the top performances among QBs. He started with a strong weigh-in going 6’1″ 170 lbs with just shy of a 6’4″ wingspan. The QB showed outstanding short area agility in the L-Drill with times of 6.82 and 6.84. Numbers that suggest he can dominate when it comes to moving in the pocket to buy time and avoid pressure. Those numbers also pair well with a 4.81 40 yard dash. The sophomore QB has the athletic traits to be a threat to defenses with his legs. That’s a dangerous combo to go alongside his 65% completion percentage from 2024.
