Tennin-Gray is a WR/DB who’s having a breakout season as a safety for the Holy Family Fire. In Week 6 against Watertown-Mayer, he had 4 total tackles and brought down his 4th interception of the season (and the last two weeks). On his current junior tape, Tennin-Gray does an excellent job of reading the QB’s eyes and flowing to the ball. He’s got really solid ball skills and does a really nice job of high-pointing passes so that the wideout isn’t able to contend for the catch. His open-field speed and body control both impress me. He’s very physical when he hits receivers and is good at tackling in the open field, while not being afraid to lay the wood. One of his best traits is how well he uses his long wingspan to bat down passes, all while being able to turn and look for the rock. I’m a big fan of what Tennin-Gray offers.

is a sleeper in the state’s 2028 DB ranks. The now 6’1, 180 lber. played an integral part in one of the game-of-the-year candidates from 2026 so far. Holy Family and Annandale battled in what resulted in a 4-13 Annandale win in Week 5, and the contest went into OT 6-6, after which both teams scored; Holy Family kicked a PAT successfully, but Annandale went for two and got it. However, Tennin-Gray earned all six points himself with an 18-yard pick-six INT vs. Annandale in a tip-drill score, but a nose for the football and ball-hawking ability is always in short supply, and Tennin-Gray showed off some natural instincts and playmaking ability in Week 5 of his junior year.
The midseason tape, in which Tennin-Gray has posted 18 tackles and 3 INTs, shows off impressive ball skills. The junior can fully extend and high-point the football with noticeable smoothness and ease. Length and vertical make him a weapon in 50/50 ball situations, and he’s long and physical at the catch point, solid out of his breaks, and can read and react well as a play develops. Also tracks the ball well as a receiver, shows a bit of juice after the catch, and is a solid tackler. I could see this defensive back making some noise on the summer camp circuit.

Kevin was the youngest prospect I have in my scouting reports from Friday night yet showed off some intriguing flashes with his skillsets that I saw in the receiving game. One thing that popped out right away is the wingspan that this young man has as I would love to know how long he stretches out to as Kevin showed on one reception just how long he appears to be. He also shows off plenty of length with his route-running from what I grasped from the live eval on Friday night and was more agile on his cuts than we had expected. I would love to see him get more opportunities in high-traffic areas like I saw, as there was a plethora of skillsets that I liked about Kevin.
