Arizona Class of 2028 Top 100 Football Prospects Watchlist

The official Arizona Class of 2028 Top 100 Football Prospect Watchlist is <a href="https://prepredzone.com/arizona/rankings/2028-rankings/">here</a> - listed below in ALPHABETICAL ORDER, by PROJECTED position.   Any time anyone puts together a list of top 8th grade prospects getting ready to enter the high school ranks, there's bound to be some impressive hits and some head-scratching misses. Below is the Arizona Class of 2028 Top 100 Football Prospect Watchlist and a writeup on each prospect. A handful of the prospects below already have verbal scholarship offers extended to them; Many of them will receive a scholarship offer at some point over the next four years; Yet, some will never play football after high school. However, as of July 9th, 2024, these prospects appear to be destined for big things on the high school football scene in Arizona. Let's take a look.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Quarterback</h3>   1.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325763' first='Bodhi' last='Sanford'] | Sabino High School - The future Sabino Sabercat already stands a reported 6-foot-2 and 180-pounds, as of July 2024. Certainly in the conversation for top overall 2028 QB in Arizona. A bigger, taller, agile QB that can escape pressure in the pocket and launch the ball on or off platform.   2.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325766' first='Cason' last='Lanzarotto'] | Desert Edge High School - The smallest QB to make the list at a reported 5-foot-8 and 135-pounds, as of July 2024. Has a big arm for his smaller frame and has a playing style reminiscent of former Heisman Trophy winner Jonny Manziel.   3.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325786' first='Cayden' last='Schlueter'] | Chandler High School - A good-looking QB prospect with a muscular a strong, build at a reported 5-foot-9 and 150-pounds, as of July 2024. Can make all the necessary throws on the short-to-intermediate range.   4.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325793' first='Cody' last='Lalama'] | ALA Queen Creek - He's listed at 5-foot-10 and 155-pounds as of July 2024, but looks taller and bigger than that on film. Big arm and powerful arm, routinely putting an accurate ball in the air 50+ yards. The younger brother of Cole Lalama (Western New Mexico University), who was named the Lone Star Conference Co-Defensive Freshman of the Year this past season.   5.) [player_tooltip player_id='1219066' first='Dayne' last='Silver'] | Eastmark High School - He's in the conversation for top overall 2028 QB in Arizona. Looks like he could step in and playa underneath those Friday night lights immediately. As of July 2024, stand 6-foot-3 and 185-pounds. Comes with prototypical size, stature and football IQ. The younger brother of JJ Silver, who plays Linebacker at Eastern New Mexico University.   6.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325835' first='Grayson' last='Bull'] | Pinnacle High School - A prospect that took full advantage of a reclass year and propelled himself into the conversation of top overall 2028 QB in Arizona. Certainly looks the part of a star in the making, listed at reported 6-foot-1 and 185-pounds with a solid build, as of July 2024.   7.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325843' first='Jadon' last='Jenkins'] | Basha High School - Part of a talented incoming freshman class, Jenkins is a QB to be excited about as of July 2024. Great pocket presence and awareness, with excellent footwork. Very short, tight throwing motion and gets the ball to his playmakers with some real zip.   8.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325867' first='Jaxson' last='Sculley'] | Hamilton High School - The Huskies have had no short of talented prospects come through the program and Sculley is part of the next wave of talent. Served as QB1 of the Chandler Bears youth program--one of the best in the state. As of July 2024, stands just under a reported 6-foot-2 and 170-pounds with a lean build--certainly in the conversation for top overall 2028 QB in Arizona.   9.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325881' first='Myron' last='Lee'] | Cactus High School - A highly athletic 2028 prospect that also play Safety on the defensive side of the ball. One of the top dual-threat QBs in Arizona for the class of 2028 that can scramble and turn up field very quickly. Keeps defenses on their toes, with the ability to roll out and throw on the run.   10.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325884' first='Titus' last='Hill'] | Centennial High School - The Coyotes have a deep and talented group coming in, with Hill at the helm as QB1. As of July 2024, he's listed at 6-foot and 155-pounds. Presumably will have a ton of firepower around him, but even if he didn't, knows how to throw guys open and deliver catchable balls on repeat.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Running Back</h3>   11.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325892' first='Chase' last='Ochoa'] | Chandler High School - It took everything in me to not list him as a Linebacker, because the future Chandler Wolf certainly checks that box too. As of July 2024, is listed at 5-foot-10 and 185-pounds with a ton of power and speed. Puts in a ton of off-season and weight room work--already claiming a 445-pound squat and 235-pound benchpress.   12.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325899' first='Gavin' last='Lombardi'] | Liberty High School - One of the fastest 2028 prospects in Arizona, regardless of position played. As of May 2024, was ranked 11th in the country in the 400M with a time of 52.58 and additionally has a 100M time of 11.62. He's very well put together and is one of those backs that just needs a small crease and he's off to daylight.   13.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325908' first='Gregory' last='Mckinstry III'] | Catalina Foothills High School - A Running Back/Athlete that looks the part of an incoming freshman that will become known through Arizona, as of July 2024. Played on the same youth team as QB [player_tooltip player_id='1325763' first='Bodhi' last='Sanford']. Has a nice lean, muscular build that translates to a number of positions. Has been working with the Varsity team at Catalina Foothills.   14.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325912' first='Isaiah' last='Rosales'] | Desert Edge - While I don't have any reported size as of July 2024, he is certainly on the smaller side at this point. That said, he's a violent runner who attacks the hole hard and runs angry. Was part of a Desert Edge Scorpions team that nearly won a spring season championship.   15.) [player_tooltip player_id='885140' first='Jaylee' last='Abraham'] | Centennial High School - Wrapped up an incredible youth career with the Tucson Seminoles and will be making the move to play at Centennial this upcoming fall. Has elite feet and quickness, with speed and power to match. As of July 2024 is listed at 5-foot-9 and 170-pounds with adequate muscle mass. He's a talented athlete overall.   16.) [player_tooltip player_id='1120695' first='Jeremiah' last='Waldon'] | Centennial High School - An absolute unit as a Running Back, who is every bit of 6-foot and 220-pounds, as of July 2024. When comparing him to RBs that much of the country would know, think NFL HOF'er Jerome Bettis or former Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne.   17.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325958' first='Micah' last='Flowers'] | Centennial High School - The third straight future Centennial Coyote (listed alphabetically by first name) on this list, Flowers is yet another talented RB. He's the slightest of the three, listed at 5-foot-8 and 145-pounds as of July 2024. Could potentially be a better fit as a Corner down the line.   18.) [player_tooltip player_id='1325998' first='Ron' last='Caldwell Jr.'] | Hamilton High School - Has all the making of a future standout at Running Back and/or Outside Linebacker. As of July 2024, is listed at 5-foot-11 and 155-pounds. Has nice length and a frame to tack on muscle. Was RB1 this past season for the Chandler Bears youth program.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Wide Receiver</h3>   19.) Alexzander Lara | Tempe High School - Listed at 6-foot and 140-pounds, he's one of the best route runners I've seen in this Arizona 2028 class as of July 2024. No wasted movement, very quick in and out of breaks. Plays the position with attention to detail and sharp precision. Looks to contribute on the varsity level immediately for the Buffaloes.   20.) Amare Thomas | Salpoint Catholic - A budding two-sport star, Thomas is a 2028 to know in both football and basketball. As of July 2024, Thomas is listed at 6-foot-2 and 155-pounds. He's tall, long and on the thine side but can stretch the field vertically as good as any prospect in the state.   21.) [player_tooltip player_id='451400' first='Amos' last='Augustine'] | Perry High School - He was on my Arizona Watchlist last year for the 2027 class, then I learned of his reclass to 2028. An obvious no-brainer for this list and is up to 6-foot-1 and 185-pounds, as of July 2024. The Arizona Wildcats were the first to extend a verbal offer in May and the Sun Devils followed in suit in June.   22.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326047' first='Brock' last='Cashin'] | Cactus Shadows High School - A Wide Receiver with good size and speed, listed at 6-foot-1 and 160-pounds with a reported 4.88 in the forty as of July 2024. Does a nice job of high-pointing the ball and making plays in the red zone/end zone, in particular.   23.) [player_tooltip player_id='1165226' first='Daryl' last='Little II'] | Thunderbird High School - As of July 2024, he's listed at 5-foot-11 and 175-pounds with a good build. Comes with excellent hands and ball skills, plus the ability to get open and find the windows for his QB to connect with him. Has been working with the Titans varsity team this summer alongside his cousin [player_tooltip player_id='1145493' first='Elijah' last='Little'], our No.2 ranked RB in the 2025 class for AZ.   24.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326050' first='Isziah' last='Hicks'] | Chandler High School - There's not an overwhelming amount of information out there on Hicks as of July 2024--including a Twitter account that lists him as a 2029 instead of a 2028, so take with a grain of salt. On film I like the fluidity he plays with as a Wide Receiver, especially when DBs play off and allow him to execute in space.   25.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326059' first='Ja'Khi' last='Epson'] | Desert Edge High School - Explosive Wide Receiver on the outside, who is just one of many weapons headed to Desert Edge in the fall. Great hand-eye coordination and concentration to come down with passes that leave you wondering how he caught it. Also a strong kid on the field that runs through arm tackles.   26.) [player_tooltip player_id='1127521' first='Jaelyn' last='Easterling-Flores'] | Desert Edge High School - Looks varsity ready as of July 2024 and could be the crown jewel of the incoming Desert Edge 2028 class. Currently listed at 6-foot-2 and 175-pounds with a catch radius that is out of this world, on top of a 34" vertical. Depending on how he fills out and continues to grow, I can't rule out him becoming a dangerous Outside Linebacker/Edge rusher.   27.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326074' first='Jake' last='Nevins'] | Higley High School - As of July 2024, there's not much information out there on Nevins--so unsure on height/weight at this point. However, on film, he made some really impressive grabs last season as a member of the Chandler Lobos youth team. Not afraid to go across the middle and put his body on the line in order to make a catch.   28.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326079' first='Jordan' last='Davis'] | Desert Edge High School - A third and final future Desert Edge Scorpion 2028 Wide Receiver in this Top 100 Watchlist as of July 2024, Davis brings a different dynamic then Epson and Easterling-Flores. Build with long legs and a shorter torso, he's thin but quick. A long-strider that works best on sweeps and/or quick screens.   29.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326093' first='Jude' last='Barclay'] | Benjamin Franklin High School - Like some of the other 2028s Wide Receivers listed, there's absolutely a chance that Barclay could move to another position depending how he continues to develop and grow. As of July 2024, he's already listed at 6-foot-3 and 190-pounds and is arguably a better Defensive End than anything else as of right now.   30.) [player_tooltip player_id='1120654' first='Julian' last='Ferrari'] | Brophy College Prep - By many accounts, should be one of Brophy's top incoming freshman this upcoming fall. A member of the 14U Phoenix All-Star this past season, he's a prospect opposing defenses have to account for. As of July 2024, he's listed at 5-foot-10 and 155-pounds and plays with excellent speed--registered a 100M PR of 11.47 in March.   31.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326103' first='Kai' last='Tschen'] | Desert Mountain High School - Comes with an impressive skill set and appears to be varsity-ready right now. In fact, has been practicing with Wolves varsity this summer. As of July 2024, he's listed at 5-foot-10 and 160-pounds. Excellent wiggle and a ton of upside on top of it.   32.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326115' first='LaMichael' last='Flannigan'] | Catalina Foothills High School - The second future Catalina Foothills Flacon prospect on this Top 100 list, Flannigan brings ability as both a Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. He's a very quick kid and knows how to shake and get open. Plays on the balls of feet and move around with field very suddenly with quick, aggressive cuts.   33.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326130' first='Makai' last='Nelson'] | Chandler High School - As of July 2024, he's on the best Wide Receivers in all of Arizona for the class of 2028. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 170-pounds, Nelson just plays with that "IT" factor. He's big and powerful enough to box out smaller Defensive Backs in the red zone but is also refined enough to beat them while running routes. He looks like a future star to me.   34.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326142' first='Max' last='Wilson'] | Cactus Shadows High School - The third member of the Cactus Shadows incoming 2028 class, Wilson is another future Falcon that should play early in his high school career. As of July 2024, is listed at 6-foot and 170-pounds--but could be a bit taller. Strong kid for his build and has pretty speed if he hits open field.   35.) [player_tooltip player_id='1218871' first='Roye' last='Oliver III'] | Hamilton High School - Agreed upon by nearly anyone who has covered the Arizona class of 2028 pre-high school ranks with merit, Oliver III is the top 2028 WR prospect in this Arizona class of WRs, as of July 2024. Already holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Marshall and Colorado State and has a laser-timed 4.55 in the forty. His grandfather was a three-time All-American wrestler for the Sun Devils and his father started 32 out of a possible 40 games as a CB for AZ State.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Athlete</h3>   36.) [player_tooltip player_id='1114228' first='Byron' last='Brandon'] | Desert Edge High School - Have been a big fan of Brandon's game since the fall of 2022, when I first saw him play as a seventh-grader. Can play Wide Receiver or Running Back at a high level, hence the Athlete designation. Was a member of the Phoenix 14U All-Star team this year and could be a factor early at Desert Edge.   37.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326192' first='Ethan' last='Zarkpah'] | Peoria High School - Zarkpah has held a reported offer from the University of Memphis since early May and it's easy to see why. As of July 2024 he's listed at 6-foot-2 and between 170-and-180-pounds (we split the difference), with athleticism oozing out of him. He's listed as a WR/OLB, but could play those two positions and/or Tight End and Defensive End too. The lone future Panther is one to know.   38.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326205' first='Isaiah' last='McGowan'] | Chandler High School - More widely-known as "Icey McGowan", there is absolutely no denying the track speed that McGowan has. As of July 2024, he's listed at 5-foot-7 and 135-pounds with a laser 40-yard time of 4.51 as of May. Look him to eventually become a difference marker as a WR, DB and in Special Teams, as he matures.   39.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326214' first='Jayden' last='Dawson'] | Desert Edge High School - Stop me if you've picked up on this, but I really like the crop of incoming freshmen headed to Desert Edge High School in the fall. Dawson doesn't differ from the rest of the future Scorpions. As of July 2024, he's listed at 6-foot and 160-pounds with the a long frame that can play Safety or Wide Receiver.   40.) [player_tooltip player_id='499907' first='Jeffrey' last='Smith III'] | Marana High School - As of July 2024, he stands at 5-foot-10 and 185-pounds with an exceptional build. In a recent social media post he claims impressive speed numbers with a 11.3 in the 100M and a 4.69 in the forty. Additionally, the LB/RB/Slot also posts a 225-pound bench press and 405-pound squat. He's also a very talented wrestler, too.   41.) [player_tooltip player_id='1120439' first='Jhaheem' last='Brown'] | Centennial High School - Another prospect that been on my radar since the moment I saw him in the fall of 2022, as a seventh-grader. Was a member of the 14U Phoenix All-Stars this past season and continued to impress. Played Running Back throughout his time on the youth level, but is starting to dabble as a Slot WR and Corner in summer practices for Centennial.   42. [player_tooltip player_id='1127427' first='Max' last='Libman'] | Pinnacle High School - Don't look now, but another Libman is about to enter the high school ranks for the Pinnacle Pioneers. The younger brother of Marcus Libman (Columbia University) and Myles Libman (Stanford University). Was the first WR I noticed on the 14U Phoenix All-Stars this past December, yet has played a ton of QB in 7v7 as of late.   43. [player_tooltip player_id='1326267' first='Maximo' last='Jordan'] | Cesar Chavez High School - An Athlete with good size and athleticism at 5-foot-11 and 160-pounds, as of July 2024. Great length and athletic ability make him a friendly target on offense and a threat to snatch the ball out of the air, on defense. Is also currently taking snaps as a Quarterback, but that's not where he'll be long term.   44. Ruben Sanchez | Centennial High School - Intriguing prospect that could develop into a nice player at multiple positions, with speed being the common denominator. Displays great anticipation and timing as a blitzing Linebacker. Unblockable off the edge as a D-End. Can also run the ball/catch coming out of the backfield.   45.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327475' first='Terry' last='Page'] | N/A High School - Highly athletic kid that can play both Wide Receiver and Defensive Back at a high level. Also took direct snaps as a Quarterback. As of July 2024, is listed at 5-foot-9 and 145-pounds and can dunk a basketball. His father played hoops at University of Illinois.   46.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327478' first='Trent' last='Richardson'] | Higley High School - Taking one look at Richardson and you can see why he made this list. A long, lean athlete with great explosion and overall quickness. Multi-sport athlete that also competes as a Sprinter on the track and a Guard on the court. As of July 2024, is listed at 5-foot-11 and 145-pounds. Look for him at Safety and Wide Receiver.   47.) [player_tooltip player_id='1148814' first='Tristan' last='Sailer'] | Basha High School - There's no 2028 prospect in Arizona with a more impressive physique than this future Basha Bear prospect. Built like an action figure at a reported 6-foot-2 and 185-pounds, as of July 2024. Big enough to play Tight End, dynamic enough to play Wide Receiver. Same can be said on the defensive side as a Linebacker or a Defensive Back.   48.) [player_tooltip player_id='1326122' first='Legarrette' last='Blount Jr.'] | Hamilton High School - Shares his name with his dad, a former Super Bowl champion. Jury is still out on where Blount Jr. will ultimately end up, but truthfully he is skilled enough to play both sides of the ball going forward. Elite ball skills and understands route concepts to an advanced degree--which helps him out as a Safety and a Wide Receiver. Has and can also line up in the backfield. As of July 2024, is listed at 5-foot-10 and 145-pounds.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Tight End</h3>   49.) [player_tooltip player_id='1315896' first='Brady' last='Powell'] | Brophy College Prep - Sometimes athleticism and upside over ride experience and that's the case here. As of July 2024, Powell is listed at 6-foot-4 and 205-pounds. The younger brother of 2025 O-Lineman and Wisconsin-commit [player_tooltip player_id='368907' first='Logan' last='Powell']. He's been a can't-miss prospect on the basketball court for several years and will now line up as a TE for the Broncos.   50.) [player_tooltip player_id='1148813' first='Caden' last='Palmquest'] | Valley Christian - As of July 2024, the future Trojans Tight End is listed at 6-foot-3 and 210-pounds with an ideal Tight End frame. Powerful and quick. Excels as both a blocker and route runner at this point in his development. Not afraid to get physical at the top of his routes and engage in hand fighting and a little shoving to get himself open.   51.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327486' first='Carson' last='Wallace'] | Shadow Ridge High School - He's a bit of a project comparatively to some of the other Tight Ends listed in this group, but I think he's going to get there. As of July 2024, he's listed at a 6-foot-3 and 191-pounds. Runs decent routes and can catch on the run. Flexibility and speed have room for improvement. Can't teach that size for a TE, who is just entering high school.   52.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327487' first='Dane' last='Montague'] | Perry High School - As of July 2024 he has played on the line during his youth career, but at 6-foot-9, 220-pounds (you read that correctly) with athleticism--a switch to Tight End in high school could be an interesting move. Obviously a standout on the basketball court too, he also high jumps and participates in other events during track and field. I've never seen him catch a football--but I've seen him block, dunk a basketball and move around. Who knows what the future holds here, but I'm willing to bet something it will involve athletics at a high level.   53.) [player_tooltip player_id='955584' first='Ian' last='Fullmer'] | Pinnacle High School - Was part of that 14U Phoenix All-Star team that has been mentioned in other writeups above. As of July 2024, is listed at 6-foot-1 and 195-pounds---which is up 15 pounds in the last six months. Has impressive strength and trains hard. Claims a 4.88 in the forty and is on his way to squatting 400 pounds in the near future.   54.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327524' first='Josh' last='Anderson'] | Brophy College Prep - As of July 2024 I don't have official measurements on him, but I'm guessing he's in the 6-foot-2 range and 190-to-200-pounds. Coaches I've spoken to really like his frame and potential. There's been a stark improvement on catching the ball with his hands as oppose to his body, but he's a work in progress there. Could ultimately end up a better Defensive End prospect.   55.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327528' first='Remy' last='McKinnon'] | Marana High School - Out of all 2028 Tight Ends in Arizona on this list, McKinnon looks the most like a Wide Receiver out of any player. As of July 2024, he's listed at 6-foot-3 and between 160 and 170-pounds. He's on the thinner side and will need to beef up, but he can run and can catch very well. The second Marana Tiger in the top 100 also displays excellent body control on the sidelines.   56.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327540' first='Torrin' last='Hill'] | Centennial High School - As of July 2024 he's listed at 6-foot-2 and 195-pounds, as he heads into his freshman season as a Coyote. On film he's too fast for Linebackers to cover one-on-one, but also too physical for Defensive Backs. The twin brother of 2028 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1325884' first='Titus' last='Hill'], expect to hear a lot about this duo over the next four years out in the desert.   57. [player_tooltip player_id='1327552' first='Zuri' last='Stein'] | Pinnacle High School - The Pioneers don't have just one Tight End coming in with big time ability, they have two with [player_tooltip player_id='1327552' first='Zuri' last='Stein'] slated to come in as well. Also a Defensive End, he's a big, physical kid that is starting to develop that mean streak. Watching him in 7v7 from this spring/summer has been fun to see him evolve. As of July 2024 I don't have official measurements, but he's got to be approaching 6-foot-4 with good mass on him.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Offensive Line</h3>   58.) [player_tooltip player_id='1127503' first='Adam' last='Schrum'] | Basha High School - One of several incoming freshman prospects headed to Basha with excellent size, Schrum has a ton of potential. A member of that daunted 14U Phoenix All-Star team I've referenced many times in this write up. As of July 2024 I don't have a size on him, but he's a big boy. Will be a bit of a project in terms of functional movement and full body strength, but there's upside here.   59.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327581' first='Brody' last='Frias'] | Higley High School - The truth of the matter is that no matter the ability level, size will get you a foot in the door. As of July 2024, [player_tooltip player_id='1327581' first='Brody' last='Frias'] is listed between 6-foot-4 and 280-pounds to 6-foot-5 and 320-pounds--either way, that size is special. He needs to come a long way athletically to reach his potential, given his size. He has already visited/camped at Arizona, Oregon and Boston College. Time will tell if he can turn it all into something.   60.) [player_tooltip player_id='1127483' first='Chayden' last='Isom'] | Mesa High School - I won't pretend to be an expert on Mesa HS football, but I do know that Isom has the ability to be a plug-and-play prospect on the varsity level as a freshman. An interior O-Lineman that played Center on the 14U Phoenix All-Star game and was then selected to the AYF National All-Star Game. Smart kid with leadership ability too. As of July 2024, the last known reported measurements were 6-foot-2 and 240-pounds.   61.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327594' first='Erik' last='Rojas'] | Centennial High School - As of July 2024 I don't have exacts on measurements, but there is considerable size here in terms of both height and weight. On film he shows versatility to play either Guard or Tackle, given his build. Ultimately could become a better an interior Defensive Lineman over anything else.   62.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327610' first='John' last='Snell Jr.'] | Hamilton High School - Offensive Linemen who wrestle often have a strong base, advanced balance and a keen understanding of balance. Future Husky Snell Jr. exemplifies this, as a state placer in wrestling. Also finished third in Arizona in shot put in the 16U division. As of July 2024, is listed at 6-foot-2 and 265-pounds. He'll be a future stud as an interior O-Linemen, specifically at Guard.   63.) He's very athletic for his size, even playing some Guard on the basketball court. He'll move to the OL/DL full time this season, after lining up in the backfield during youth ball--which makes me shake my head. As of July 2024, he's a potential future Top-5 Arizona 2028 prospect.   64.) Patrick Weaver Jr. | Cactus High School - One of the top interior Offensive Linemen in the state for the class of 2028, bar none. He's a metal music playing/loving tough guy who plays very strong on the interior line. Can play anywhere on the O-Line as of July 2024, but trends towards the Guard position. Strong base and good feet. Has proven to also play Defensive Tackle at a high level.   65.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327643' first='Renzo' last='Wilmarth'] | Highland High School - Yet another member from a very talented Chandler Bears youth team in 2023, Wilmarth comes with some great size. As of July 2024, he's listed at 6-foot-4 and 235-pounds. There's a ton of potential for Wilmarth to become a top Offensive Tackle in Arizona for the class of 2028, if he continues to develop strength and finds that mean streak that all the good ones have.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Defensive Line</h3>   66.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327656' first='Aidan' last='Thompson'] | Liberty High School - A very strong and agile two-way lineman that I happen to like more on the defensive side of the ball, as of July 2024. Currently listed at 6-foot-1 and 240-pounds, he already sports a bench press of 245-pounds and a max squat of 425-pounds. Weight is evenly distributed on his frame and has great bend/flexibility for an incoming freshman with size.   67.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327677' first='Daniel' last='Barnhart'] | Cactus High School - The first of two future Cactus Cobra D-Linemen in this top 100 list, Barnhart is a kid with potential. As of July 2024, he's not currently listed on the Varsity roster for Cactus High School, but there's an upside here. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 200-pounds, he's a bit of a tweener as a Defensive Lineman who can play both D-End or D-Tackle. Moves down the line laterally very well.   68. [player_tooltip player_id='1327690' first='Errin' last='Brown'] | Cactus High School - The other future Cactus Cobra Defensive Lineman to be included, Brown is penciled in on the varsity squad as of July 2024. There's not a tremendous amount of film or social media out there on him, but what I've seen is in encouraging. He's a bigger kid, currently listed at 6-foot-1 and around 245-pounds. Looks best served as an interior player, but agile enough to be responsible for two gaps.   69.) [player_tooltip player_id='1127575' first='Jalani' last='George'] | Desert Edge High School - When I first saw George this past fall he was already an impressive specimen at 6-foot-3 and 215-pounds, but as of July 2024, he's now listed at 6-foot-5 and 240-pounds. Originally from New York, he's raw and still developing skills as a true Defensive End. With that said, he's going to be a player to know without a doubt. Look for him to contribute in some capacity for the Scorpions, earlier rather than later.   70.) [player_tooltip player_id='1120885' first='Kye' last='Wells'] | Desert Edge High School - Staying in Desert Edge Scorpion country, Wells is another D-End/Outside Linebacker/Edge type player to get familiar with. A regular season teammate of [player_tooltip player_id='1127575' first='Jalani' last='George'] on the AZ Suns 13U team last season, Wells a fast player on the outside that gives Offensive Tackles a fit. Fast, violent and mean. He could become an OLB full time depending on how he develops, but as of July 2024 he's a 6-foot-1, 165-pound menace as a pass-rusher.   71.) [player_tooltip player_id='1120340' first='Landen' last='Wade'] | Basha High School - I've dug in my heels long enough and have said Wade looks like a future FBS Offensive Tackle--with the potential to be the No.1 player in Arizona for the class of 2028. However, after watching his early clips as a Basha Bear, I've reluctantly started to change my mind. As of July 2024, he's listed at 6-foot-4 and 240-pounds and is dominating guys as a Tight End in 7v7. Additionally, the big fella has trimmed up a bit and has been camping as a D-End. He's a kid I'd offer right now, based off size and potential alone.   72.) Nick Gonzales | Chandler High School - As of July 2024, I like what he brings as a pass rusher as a Defensive End. Currently lists himself at 6-foot and 180-pounds. Had a really good showing at the University of Arizona camp as a Defensive End, but has also been playing 7v7 as a Linebacker. Development and growth will dictate a lot here, but he's a prospect that offers obvious quickness and agility on the defensive side.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Linebacker</h3>   73. [player_tooltip player_id='1327738' first='Aidan' last='Torres'] | Centennial High School - One of two Centennial Coyotes to make the 2028 Top 100 prospect list as a Linebacker, Torres is a versatile Linebacker to get excited about. As of July 2024, is listed at 5-foot-8 and 165-pounds. Avoids blocks like a varsity-level player already and plays much bigger than his size. Started at the 14U Phoenix All-Star team this past December.   74.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327753' first='Brecken' last='Garday'] | Liberty High School - When it comes to evaluating eighth-graders playing football there's no such thing as a "Can't Miss", but Garday could be as close as it gets for Linebackers. As of July 2024 he is listed at 5-foot-10 and 180-pounds, with a record-setting 410-pound squat. Absolutely flys to the football and is one of the best tacklers in all of Arizona for the class of 2028.   75.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327767' first='Cameron' last='Hanger'] | Chandler High School - The only Linebacker to make this list out of an impressive incoming Chandler freshman class. One of the more rangy LBs in this group, he does a good job of getting back into pass drops and isn't shy about getting his hands on a pass. Both older brothers play(ed) football after high school, with middle brother Dominic Hanger currently playing for the Arizona Wildcats.   76.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327775' first='Damian' last='Aguirre'] | Cesar Chavez High School - The first of two incoming Cesar Chavez Linebackers to make this list, Aguirre was yet another member off the 14U Phoenix All-Star team from this past season. As of July 2024 I don't have any exact measurements, but was the shortest starting LB on that All-Star team. Seemed to always be in the right position to make plays and defeated blocks with relative ease. Very active 'Backer that loves to bounce around and confuse the O-Line.   77.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327778' first='Devante' last='Roebuck'] | Hamilton High School - Show me a 2028 prospect anywhere in the country, that as of July 2024 is listed at 5-foot-10 and 190-pounds who runs a verified 11.42 in the 100M and 23.88 in the 200M...and I'll show you a prospect to know. Roebuck has all the makings of a future stud for the Huskies. Also plays RB on the offensive side of the ball.   78.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327784' first='Jaceb' last='Perez'] | Desert Edge High School - I was immediately drawn to this Perez while watching film on some of his future Desert Edge teammates. As of July 2024, he's listed at 5-foot-11 and 170-pounds. Played Edge during the tackle spring season but has spent a lot of time as a Linebacker during 7v7 ball. He's quite literally always around the ball. High-motor doesn't even begin to describe him.   79. [player_tooltip player_id='1327787' first='Julien' last='Wilson'] | Centennial High School - Smith plays at full tilt 100% of the time and doesn't come off with an off switch. Multi-sport athlete that plays with the a crazy combination of speed and power--honestly could be a Strong Safety in the long run. Helped the Future U spring team go undefeated and win a championship, while only allowing 65 points all spring (as oppose to the 250 they put up).   80.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327792' first='Kayden' last='Smith'] | Desert Edge High School - As of July 2024, he's listed at 5-foot-11 and 180-pounds. Long legs and long arms make him a promising Outside Linebacker prospect. However, on film he has a lot of experience as a stand up Defensive End/Edge player. He's built like a Wide Receiver on the end of the defensive front and moves like it too. How he fills out over the next few years will determine where he ends up.   81.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327803' first='Logan' last='White'] | Buckeye Union High School - A prospect that made the most of his reclass year, becoming a member of the 2028 class. Like Wilson listed above, he was part of a fast and aggressive Future U defense that smothered all other teams during the spring season. Long term questions remain on his size (no official measurements as of July 2024), but the ability he enters high school with is solid.   82.) [player_tooltip player_id='1166462' first='Max' last='Alcoverde'] | Brophy College Prep - The fourth Brophy College Prep incoming freshman to be included--and first defensive player, Alcoverde is the powerhouse of the group. As of July 2024, he's listed at 5-foot-9 and 185-pounds. Checks the box in terms of power as a Middle Linebacker/Fullback. Phenomenal eighth-grade season that saw him be named a 14U Phoenix All-Star, AYF National All-Star and capped it off with a spring championship as a member of Future U.   83.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327818' first='Ryan' last='Lee'] | Heritage Academy (Laveen) - Already penciled in as a varsity starter at Middle Linebacker this upcoming season for the Heroes, Lee comes very highly regarded. As of July 2024, I'm told he's unofficially nearing the 6-foot and 190-pounds. Very quick and sudden bursts. Can flip the field and also plays Wide Receiver at an above average level too.   84.) [player_tooltip player_id='1127599' first='Thomas' last='Simpson'] | Cesar Chavez High School - Comes off a regular season where he helped the AZ Suns 13U team win an AYF National Championship. Possibly the fastest Arizona 2028 prospect listed as a Linebacker. Was previously listed at 5-foot-7, but as of July 2024 is now up to 5-foot-9 and 160-pounds. Would not surprise me to see him play more of a Strong Safety with his size and skill set.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Defensive Back</h3>   85.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327833' first='Anthony' last='Carr'] | Desert Edge - A bit of an undersized Cornerback, but don't tell him that. As of July 2024, no official measurements but he plays with precise feet and the ability to flip his hops and run. Also very accomplished on the track, he was a member of a record-breaking 4x100 team this past season.   86.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327834' first='Daylen' last='Moore'] | Cactus High School - Gets it done on the offensive side of the ball as a Running Back, but has made significant strides as a defensive player of the last calendar year. As of July 2024, lists himself as a 5-foot-9 and 150-pounds with tremendous ball skills. Looks at home as a Safety but is technically sound enough (at this point) to mix in some Corner, as well.   87.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327835' first='Devion' last='Jones'] | Central High School - To my knowledge, the lone Central High School Bobcat to make the Arizona 2028 Top 100 Watchlist as of July 2024. Crazy how much he reminds me of former four-time Pro Bowler, Merton Hanks. Billed at 5-foot-8 and 140-pounds, he has long arms, long legs and a long neck/torso. In an age where CBs that can smother WRs are a hot commodity, he fits this bill.   88.) [player_tooltip player_id='1120426' first='Hajj' last='Brown'] | Centennial High School - After flirting with a few other schools, Brown looks locked in at Centennial High School. Taking a look at him, he's got the gnat-like quickness that makes him hard to shake as a pure Cornerback. Flip it over and he's a dangerous slot WR. As of July 2024, he's listed at 5-foot-8 and 150-pounds and also runs track. Additionally, claims some impressive weight room numbers given his smaller stature--namely a 365-pound squat max.   89.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327879' first='Jason' last='Lee'] | Centennial High School - A tremendous overall athlete that likely could have made this list at a number of positions, but from watching film and doing a little homework, I feel strongly about him as a Safety. As of July 2024 I don't have specifics in terms of size, but looks like he's put on some encouraging muscle mass since the 2023 regular season concluded. Will likely also contribute on the offensive side of the ball.   90.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327880' first='Jayden' last='Boschetti'] | Desert Edge High School - If you've read every position group, it's no secret that I'm a big fan of several schools and the freshmen they're bringing in--at/near the top of the list is Desert Edge. Boschetti is a head-hunter as a Safety that is listed at 6-foot and 170-pounds as of July 2024. As physical as a Linebacker in the box, but also as skilled as finesse player in the secondary.   91.) Jaylen Chandler | Chandler High School - As of July 2024 I do not have official measurements on him, but the film speaks volumes. Has good length and athletic body that allows for him to make plays as a Safety. Comes battle-tested in terms of competing against many of the best throughout the 7v7 season.   92.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327905' first='Kacey' last='Allen Jr.'] | Hamilton High School - He could possibly the best overall athlete in this Arizona 2028 class. The future Husky is a state champion on the track and is head and shoulders above the majority when it comes to the football field. As of July 2024, the future FBS Safety is listed at 6-foot-1 and 175-pounds. Plays fast and aggressive, with a chip on his shoulder at all times. Expect him to pick up offers early and become one of the highest-recruited prospects in this Arizona 2028 class.   93.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327883' first='Jordan' last='Alsup'] | Basha High School - At 6-foot and 140-pounds as of July 2024, Alsup is a good looking Free Safety prospect that is headed to Basha High School. The definition of a Centerfielder who covers a ton of ground with long strides. Not overly physical right now and will need to work hard to pack on the mass needed for a prolonged career. There's no denying that he can track down anything that floats too long in the deep third.   94.) [player_tooltip player_id='1120949' first='Kamarii' last='Oakry'] | N/A High School - To be completely transparent, I cannot find out what's going on with Oakry and the last film I've seen of him was in December. He very well could have reclassed, but there's no information out there on him. Going off what I saw as a member of the AYF National Champion AZ Suns, there's a ton of ability here. Also a track kid he's also a Junior Olympic qualifier in the hurdles and long jump. Two very telling events for a kid who also plays Defensive Back.   95.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327884' first='Keaton' last='Fields'] | Hamilton High School - Ask any coach in America if they want an incoming freshman Safety, that as of July 2024 stands a reported 6-foot-2, 160-pounds with a 75" wingspan...and I bet they'll be excited. That's what Hamilton is getting in Fields, who looks to have stretched out considerably over the last six months. Look for him to be a Free Safety that gets a lot of interest.   96.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327889' first='Mitchell' last='Raner'] | Hamilton High School - More times than not undersized Linebackers will evolve into Defensive Backs, but Raner has a chance to do the opposite. As of July 2024, he's a physical Safety that's listed at 5-foot-11 and 165-pounds. I could very easily see him packing on good weight in the Husky weight room and transitioning into an every-down, athletic Linebacker.   97.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327892' first='Nekhi' last='Lambeth'] | Desert Edge High School - Has the potential to be one of the best two-way players in Arizona HS football in a few years. Can line up on both sides of the ball and win 50/50 balls. As of July 2024, is listed at 6-foot and 170-pounds with ball skills and dependable hands no matter if he's playing offense or defense.   98.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327898' first='Preston' last='Slimmer'] | Basha high School - Love Slimmer's hands for an incoming freshman prospect. The Bears are getting a kid who catches anything thrown near him, who can also play on both sides of the ball as of July 2024. Speaking defensively, I'd trust him at Safety or Cornerback right now--with the Safety position having a higher ceiling.   99.) [player_tooltip player_id='1120742' first='Ronald' last='Brassfield'] | Cesar Chavez High School - Fourth and final member of the incoming class at Cesar Chavez High School to be included on this list. Probably could be listed as an Athlete because of his ability as a Slot/Running Back too. As of July 2024 is listed at a 5-foot-8 and 135-pounds. Runs like a bat darting in mid-air. A lot of ball skills and upside here.   100.) [player_tooltip player_id='1327902' first='Zeus' last='Vasquez'] | Highland High School - Another prospect coming from the crazy-talented Chandler Bears youth organization. As of July 2024, gives up some size at 5-foot-8 and 155-pounds but makes up for it with his vertical. One of the best I've seen in the state as timing jumps to make a play on the ball.
