Strong sophomore season for the Sabino QB throwing for 2,340 yards and 26 touchdowns completing 152 of 275 attempts. Good frame with length and growth potential at 6’3” 190 lbs. He throws a very catchable ball with good touch while showing consistent placement and the anticipation needed to hit his spots as receivers come out of their break. He’s comfortable working through progressions or improvising to create. Isn’t afraid to take chances, pushing the ball vertically and challenging defenses down the field. His willingness to attack tight coverage creates explosive play potential and keeps secondaries honest. Continued development in turnover margin and protecting the football will elevate his overall efficiency and consistency.
Sanford has established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in 3A this season, currently leading the division in passing yards. Through consistent production and command of the offense, he’s thrown for 1,187 yards and 17 touchdowns while completing 58% of his passes (75-of-130). His ability to stretch the field, make smart reads, and finish drives has been a driving force behind his team’s offensive success, and he continues to prove himself as a top-tier playmaker in the class.
Sanford is developing into a fast rising prospect after starting as the QB1 as a freshman on varsity. He’s still very raw in terms in talent given his age, but possesses a ton of tools in the box as your upcoming 2028 big time QB prospect. Solid frame and build at 6’2″ 180lbs and can sit back and dice up a defense, or get outside the pocket and make something happen. He totaled over 1,200 yards and 8 TD’s last year, and I think the jump from his freshman season to his sophomore season is going to be huge.
