The West Virginia rankings were in need of an overhaul and over 60 new prospects have been added to the list since our last update. Our preseason rankings update now shows the Top 75 2025 athletes in WV and will be updated and expanded again mid-season. Here are some of the new offensive additions to the Top 75 that have made a name for themselves since our last update.

[player_tooltip player_id='907231' first='Demonte' last='Martin'] - Hedgesville | WR
Overall Ranking: #3 | Position Ranking: #2

2025 Hedgesville WR [player_tooltip player_id='907231' first='Demonte' last='Martin'] is one of the biggest stock risers in WV for the 2025 class and has picked up two G5 offers this summer from UNLV and Charlotte. The 6'3 185 pass catcher showed out at the GCOH Performance Exposure Camp in early June where I got to see him in person for the first time and that performance earned him his first D1 offer from UNLV. Martin's stock will only continue to rise and should have a big breakout junior season this year. He enters our 2025 rankings as the #3 overall prospect and #2 WR.

[player_tooltip player_id='908150' first='Levi' last='Faircloth'] - Hedgesville | OL
Overall Ranking: #10 | Position Ranking: #1

The Faircloths are known for their size and that will continue with younger brother Levi. His older brother Eli is 6'7 and Levi is already in the 6'5 280 range with still plenty of time to keep growing. I think the ceiling is very high for the 2025 prospect and he enters our rankings as the #10 overall prospect and #1 offensive lineman. Faircloth certainly has D1 potential and a name you need to watch for the next two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='865706' first='Koi' last='Fagan'] - Martinsburg | QB
Overall Ranking: #13 | Position Ranking: #2

Martinsburg's [player_tooltip player_id='865706' first='Koi' last='Fagan'] is an uber-athletic quarterback whose potential is through the roof. The 6'0 160 Fagan played mostly JV for the loaded Martinsburg Bulldogs last season but his athleticism and potential earn him an inaugural ranking of 13th overall and the #2 QB. He clocked a 4.47 40 at the Coalfields & Co Showcase and if he isn't a QB at the next level he is athletic enough to play WR or DB. He should see more varsity time this season as an athlete and maybe even QB reps. Fagan earned his first D1 offer from Ivy League member Brown this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='908151' first='Brayden' last='Lude'] - George Washington | OL
Overall Ranking: #15 | Position Ranking: #2

George Washington's [player_tooltip player_id='908151' first='Brayden' last='Lude'] is still growing into his body but the 6'3 250 athlete is one of the most athletic offensive linemen I've seen in WV in some time. Lude has very good feet and moves as well as a lot of skill players. If he doesn't grow enough to be an offensive lineman in college he could definitely also play along the defensive line. Lude is another high-upside prospect which is a big thing you're looking for in the younger classes. He'll be a D1 prospect if he can grow more and add the weight he needs for the position.

[player_tooltip player_id='908107' first='Shalik' last='Hampton'] - Hurricane | TE
Overall Ranking: #16 | Position Ranking: #1

[player_tooltip player_id='908107' first='Shalik' last='Hampton'] will be making the move from Capital HS to Hurricane HS this year and showed a lot of good things last season as a sophomore. Hampton enters the rankings as the #16 overall player and our #1 tight end for the 2025 class. The 6'4 220 rising junior is a very athletic tight end prospect that showed great hands in 2022. The one aspect lacking from his sophomore highlights was how he does in the blocking game but with his size he has the ability to do it effectively. Hampton has great hands and high points the ball as well as anyone and made some tough catches for Capital last season. His size, athleticism, and potential are what make him a Top 20 player in the WV 2025 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='908154' first='Luke' last='Given'] - South Harrison | OL
Overall Ranking: #25 | Position Ranking: #4

Unfortunately, South Harrison OL [player_tooltip player_id='908154' first='Luke' last='Given'] suffered an off-season injury that could cost him his entire junior season this year but when you're 6'9 310 and can move you're still a Top 25 player. If he can make a full recovery and elevate his game in 2024 there is potential for him to climb significantly higher in this ranking. South Harrison doesn't throw the ball much so his pass-blocking skill is a bit of an unknown but I loved what I saw from Given in the running game. He fires off the ball and I think he moves well for a kid of that size and age. Given is physical and aggressive which is great to see in a young offensive lineman. He enters our 2025 rankings as the #25 overall athlete and #4 offensive lineman.

[player_tooltip player_id='865709' first='Max' last='Anderson'] - Spring Mills | ATH
Overall Ranking: #27 | Position Ranking: #1

[player_tooltip player_id='865709' first='Max' last='Anderson'] of Spring Mills is a tremendous athlete who could play several positions at the next level. Anderson played mostly QB last season for the Cardinals but I like him more as a WR or RB that could also play DB. Having your best playmaker touch the ball on every play is certainly not a bad thing and Spring Mills did just that last season. Anderson is a super quick and fast athlete that has the twitch to make defenders miss. He's a threat to score on every snap and tough to defend against. Whichever position he ends up at in college he's sure to be dynamic.

[player_tooltip player_id='864851' first='John' last='McGee'] - Philip Barbour | OL
Overall Ranking: #29 | Position Ranking: #5

There are some really big offensive linemen in WV for the 2025 class and Philip Barbour's [player_tooltip player_id='864851' first='John' last='McGee'] is another example of that. McGee is in the 6'5-6'6 280 range and I was able to confirm that size at the GCOH Performance Exposure Camp. He was one of my standouts at that camp and when you're his size colleges are going to come looking. He still needs to keep developing his game but the upside and potential are there to warrant his #29 overall ranking and #5 offensive lineman.

[player_tooltip player_id='865700' first='Dylan' last='Harich'] - Jefferson | QB
Overall Ranking: #30 | Position Ranking: #5

There are quite a few talented quarterbacks in the 2025 WV class and Jefferson's [player_tooltip player_id='865700' first='Dylan' last='Harich'] is one of the best. The rising junior threw for 1,900 yards and 23 touchdowns as a sophomore on a 64% completion percentage. He has good size at 6'2 175 with more room to grow. Harich has nice touch on his throws and can put them into tight spaces. He'll have one of if not the top WR to throw to in the state with [player_tooltip player_id='370366' first='Keyshawn' last='Robinson'] and the Cougars should have a lethal passing attack this season. Harich comes in at #30 overall and the #5 quarterback.

[player_tooltip player_id='907161' first='Tay'Shaun' last='Roper'] - Jefferson | RB
Overall Ranking: #31 | Position Ranking: #3

Speaking of Jefferson skill players, [player_tooltip player_id='907161' first='Tay'Shaun' last='Roper'] is a dynamic little running back for the Cougars. The 5'7 160 jitterbug isn't the biggest athlete but boy can he move. He's as slippery as they come and is a big play waiting to happen. If you can get him the ball in space he's nearly impossible to tackle. Roper is also really quick and when he turns it on there aren't many players in the state that can catch him. The only thing that may keep D1 schools away is his size and ability to hold up at the level but the athleticism and playmaking ability is certainly there.

[player_tooltip player_id='865701' first='Josh' last='Moody'] - Nitro | QB
Overall Ranking: #32 | Position Ranking: #6

I've gotten to see Nitro QB [player_tooltip player_id='865701' first='Josh' last='Moody'] twice this summer in person and I always like what I see. He'll be making a little bit of a jump in competition from Class A Buffalo to Class AA Nitro so it will be interesting to see how he handles that transition. I have full confidence that he'll excel at that level. Moody has the prototypical QB size at 6'2 190 and is athletic enough to also make plays with his legs. He has really seen his stock rise this year and should continue to see it elevate this season and beyond. Moody enters the 2025 rankings at 32nd overall and the #6 QB with plenty of room to climb.

[player_tooltip player_id='907162' first='Kamren' last='Taylor'] - Spring Mills | RB
Overall Ranking: #33 | Position Ranking: #4

Another little dynamic scat back in the 2025 class is Spring Mills, RB [player_tooltip player_id='907162' first='Kamren' last='Taylor']. The 5'8 160 Taylor is right up there with Jefferson's [player_tooltip player_id='907161' first='Tay'Shaun' last='Roper'] and is very comparable. They're a very good one-two punch in the Eastern Panhandle and two of the best running backs in the state for their class. Taylor is speedy and twitchy and if he gets a crease he's likely going the distance. I love his playmaking ability and you have to key on him every play if you're the opposing defense. It's going to be fun to watch those two go at it this season to decide who should be ranked over who. Taylor enters the rankings 33rd overall and the #4 running back.

[player_tooltip player_id='854471' first='Aaron' last='Thomas'] - Morgantown | RB
Overall Ranking: #34 | Position Ranking: #5

I got to see Morgantown RB/DB Aaron "AJ" Thomas in person this summer at camp and he looked the part physically and athletically. Thomas could play RB or DB at the next level but he'll enter our rankings at RB for now. I expect he'll be one of the athletes that really climbs in the rankings in the future and has a ton of upside. His role should expand even more this season for the Mohigans on both offense and defense. Thomas comes in as the 34th overall player and #5 ranked running back.

The rest of the new Top 75 offensive additions:

#37. [player_tooltip player_id='907232' first='Jamari' last='Tubbs'] - Huntington | WR
#38. [player_tooltip player_id='908152' first='Peyton' last='Kaufman'] - Martinsburg | OL
#39.
