has been a revelation for the Hurricane Redskins this season as a pass catcher and displayed that again in a big win over Jefferson in the quarterfinals.
Hampton is a massive athlete lining up at wideout and is leading Hurricane in receiving yards and touchdowns this season. He posted 3 catches for 88 yards and a touchdown in the 57-21 win that focused more on the running game. We like Hampton as a DL prospect but his performance this season proves he could play TE at the D1 level too. He’s incredibly athletic for his size and has great ball skills for a 6’3 230 athlete who can also run well.

has been having a great season on offense for the Redskins as a big-bodied receiver and is leading a loaded receiving group in receptions, yards, and touchdowns.
The 6’3 230 jumbo athlete is averaging 20 yards per catch on 31 catches for 620 yards and 14 touchdowns in 8 games this season and looking like the former #1 TE prospect in the class before moving to DL in our rankings. Hampton hasn’t gotten as much run on defense this season because of that offensive success, but we still believe that’s his highest-ceiling position in college. His length and athleticism bode well for a future along the defensive line at the D1 level, but with his play on offense this season it wouldn’t surprise us if he gets a shot at TE at the next level first. Hampton is a rare talent in WV with his size and athleticism with more D1 opportunities sure to come soon.

has an offer from Marshall and is a no doubt D1 prospect who should earn more opportunities from that level this season. He’s a long and athletic big man with a ton of potential and upside who doubles as a standout basketball player for the Redskins too. Hampton is a rangy defensive end and sets the edge well with his long wingspan and length. The more he grows into his frame the higher his ceiling will get which is already very high. Hampton is an all around natural athlete and gifted in that regard which bodes well for his future as a college athlete.
He totaled 41 tckles, 10 TFLs, and 6 sacks as a junior and should add to those numbers this season as a senior.

isn’t new to our state rankings but he’s new to the defensive rankings after moving from tight end to defensive line. Hampton was originally our #1 tight end in the 2025 class when he was at Capital but played mostly defensive line after transferring to Hurricane. He now ranks as a Top 10 prospect in the 2025 class and our #2 defensive lineman in the class after a very productive season for the Redskins. Hampton finished his junior season with 41 tackles, 10 TFLs, and 6 sacks. The 6’4 225 defensive end saw his athleticism from the tight end position translate well to the defensive line and he flashed some high-level potential this season. Our Top 10-15 is reserved for D1 graded prospects and I’m very confident in saying that Hampton is a D1-level athlete who should see interest from that level soon.

is currently in our rankings as a tight end where he’s #1 overall right now but has primarily played on the defensive line for his new team the Hurricane Redskins. His potential at that position was always very high given his size and athleticism and Hampton has really performed well there this season. Through the first five games of the season in limited action due to scores, Hampton has tallied 24 total tackles with 8 going for a loss and he’s racked up 5.5 sacks. Hampton measures in at 6’4 225 and easily has the frame to hold over 250 pounds in time. He’s a natural athlete whose best days at defensive line are ahead of him, but he’s quickly put himself in the conversation as potentially the top 2025 defensive lineman in the state which has some serious talent in that class.
