quietly put together a strong freshman season while gaining valuable varsity experience. Runyan debuts among the Top 15 linebackers after showing the athleticism and instincts to develop into a quality outside linebacker. He moves well in space, closes quickly on ball carriers, and does a nice job finishing plays in the open field. Hurricane has also used him at tight end, giving another glimpse of his versatility and willingness to play a physical brand of football. As he continues to add size and experience, Runyan has the tools to become one of the better linebackers in the class, and a player whose best football is still well in front of him.

, a freshman who has stepped into a varsity role during a developmental season for the Redskins. Runyan has shown encouraging traits as an outside linebacker, combining athleticism with the ability to play in space and finish in the open field. His quickness allows him to close from the backside and make plays when the ball spills outside, and the added reps at tight end speak to his versatility and comfort with contact. As his frame and game continue to mature, Runyan projects as a rising OLB prospect and a name worth keeping on the radar in the 2029 class.

. He has a bright future as an OLB prospect with what he’s showing early on and as his body develops. Runyan is doing a quality job at outside linebacker and has given reps at TE as well so far this season. He appears to be able to play in space and break down, and make a tackle in the open. Runyan also has the quickness to crash off the edge on the backside and track ball carriers down from behind. We’ll learn more about his ability in the coming years, but Runyan is someone to tuck away for later.
