likely wrapped up the Kennedy Award as the state’s best player this season with an excellent senior season in his lone year as QB1 for the Bulldogs. Fagan led them to yet another state championship behind his arm and his legs and quite possibly the most dynamic player in the state this season. Which position he ultimately ends up at in college remains to be seen, but don’t be surprised if some D1 programs come poking around before the next signing day. Fagan can slip through and around defense on any given touch with blazing speed and explosiveness in the open field. He’s the definition of a gamer and has the “it” factor that colleges are seeking.

is on the shortlist for the Kennedy Award this season and continued to show why in the Bulldogs’ 77-7 romping of Parkersburg in Round One. In one half of play, Fagain completed 6/8 passes for 187 yards and showcased his legs rushing for 60 yards and two scores for an efficient night at the office. He’s been quite likely the most dynamic player this season

Not far behind Vellaithambi in the Kennedy Award race in our eyes is 2025 Martinsburg QB/ATH

who has done a great job this season stepping in at quarterback for the Bulldogs.
There are a lot of similarities between Fagan and Vellaithambi as the #1 and #1 ATH prospects in this class. Both athletes played mostly running back last season and are excelling as dual-threat quarterbacks in 2024. Fagan is coming off a 15/19 for 346 yards and 4 touchdowns along with 80 rushing yards and 2 more scores performance against Morgantown last week as he nears 1,000 yards a piece for passing and rushing. His breakaway speed is unmatched at the quarterback position in the state, and Fagan’s arm talent shouldn’t be overlooked either.

was having a great week two performance against Huntignton before leaving the game in the second half with an injury. He led the Bulldogs to a big win over the Highlanders in his first season as a QB1 for the perennial power doing so with both his arm and his legs. Fagan didn’t need to air it out much in the 47-15 win as he was an efficient 7/9 for 157 yards and 3 touchdown passes to

and is an overall high-level athlete with D1 attention. In his first season at running back in 2023, Fagan earned Second Team All-State honors and rushed for nearly 1,000 yards and 19 touchdowns. He’s a natural playmaker with the ball in his hands and could translate to a few different positions at the next level. The evidence of his arm talent in live game situations has been limited to this point and we’re anxious to see how that part of Fagan’s game looks this season.
Martinsburg has had a ton of success with quarterbacks through the years and Fagan may be the next great one in line this season.

jumps up two spots to #11 overall in the 2025 Rankings and is looking just outside of the Top 10. He ranks as the #2 ATH in the class now after being moved from QB in our rankings for showcasing his running back abilities this season. Martinsburg found ways to get Fagan the ball while he awaits his turn to potentially be QB1 in 2024 and he looked like a natural at the running back position. Fagan is a great student posting a 4.625 GPA so it’s no surprise why D1 Ivy League member Brown jumped in with an early offer back in June. Fagan is probably the fastest returning player in West Virginia next season and it will be very interesting to see how Martinsburg uses him during his senior year. I haven’t seen enough quarterback film from him to really give an accurate assessment of how he looks there but he certainly has D1 athleticism and could get some FBS interest next season.

is the likely frontrunner to be Martinsburg’s next great quarterback in 2024 but for now, he has helped his team in just about every way possible while he waits his turn. Fagan lines up primarily at running back when he’s not playing quarterback in spot duty this season and seemingly has an explosive play every time he touches the ball. Fagan is also a quality pass catcher and has scored as a returner on special teams as well. He’s currently rated as the #2 QB in our 2025 rankings but is more of a true ATH and already holds a D1 offer from Brown University. Fagan has elite speed and is a natural playmaker who has a nose for the end zone. He should have a really special senior season in 2024 but has been very good as a junior this year for the Bulldogs.
