2028 Martinsburg DL Kylan McDonald-Gibson is still early in his development, but the upside is easy to see. McDonald-Gibson spent much of last season at the JV level, yet his 6’4 275 frame immediately grabs your attention and gives him a great foundation. We got a chance to see him in person at the Exposure Series, and he certainly looked the part physically. McDonald-Gibson has made significant physical strides over the last two years, and coming from an athletic family only adds to his long-term upside. There is still plenty of refinement ahead for him, but that’s to be expected at this stage. With another offseason behind him and a likely increase in varsity opportunities this fall, McDonald-Gibson is a player whose stock could rise quickly as he gains varsity experience.

2028 Martinsburg TE/DL Kylan McDonald-Gibson is one of the more intriguing developmental prospects heading into the WV Exposure Series. He’s currently signed up as a TE, but there’s definitely interest in seeing what he can do on the defensive line as well because the athletic tools translate to both spots. McDonald-Gibson already picked up some varsity and JV experience as a sophomore for a Martinsburg team that made a run to the state title game, and his role should continue expanding heading into his junior season. There’s a good athletic background in the family, and the upside is there as he keeps developing physically and adding more quality film. A strong camp showing could put McDonald-Gibson firmly on the radar as a name to know moving forward.
