2027 RB Kingston McDonald-Gibson emerged as an important piece for Martinsburg during his junior season and looks poised to carry even more momentum into his senior year. There’s already plenty of attention around his game as the #4 running back in the class, but a strong performance at the WV Exposure Series could easily strengthen that position or push him even higher. The explosiveness shows up quickly when he gets moving, and that should translate well during combine testing and drills. McDonald-Gibson also feels built for 1-on-1s, where athleticism and change of direction become difficult to defend in space. If he puts everything together, he has the tools to leave camp as one of the more electric performers in attendance.

McDonald-Gibson fires out of the backfield and hits top speed in a hurry, putting his foot in the ground and getting north fast. He doesn’t need much space to create a play, and once he sees daylight, he’s gone. McDonald-Gibson emerged as the go-to option last season in the backfield, and that burst is a big reason why he was able to separate himself and turn small creases into big gains.

Martinsburg needed some running backs to step up in 2025, and 2027 RB/DB Kingston McDonald-Gibson Kingston McDonald-Gibson 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB/DB Martinsburg | 2027 State WV did just that for the Bulldogs. We were expecting other names to emerge as their top choice in the backfield this season, but McDonald-Gibson took over as their top threat and showcased a ton of upside at the position. Look for him to take another step forward in 2026 for his senior year as a two-way player with upside to play both positions in college.
