Although a tough bump shut Arden down before the top performer reps, he had already more than secured a spot as one of the camp’s top receivers. Arden posted a solid broad jump with an 8’6″ and a 4.97 40-yard dash. Although Arden may not be the biggest receiver, he plays much bigger than his size, thanks to his physicality and toughness. Arden is a twitchy receiver who runs good routes with explosive breaks and creates separation from defenders. Marshall’s game speed also looked faster than some of his reported numbers, as he quickly closed on the ball and showed he can get behind defenders for deep balls.

His touches will increase over the rest of the season, and Marshall has flashed his dynamic potential out of the slot that we expected thus far. He can develop into a great safety blanket for his quarterback with some easy completions in the short and intermediate passing game with the quickness and route-running ability that Marshall possesses. With a young offensive line, that should allow Marshall to see more passes coming his way the rest of the year.

Marshall flashed at our Stock Up Showcase earlier this year and is steadily progressing heading into his junior year. He looked quick and twitchy lining up in the slot and plays well in space. Marshall has a quick release into his route with very good cutting ability in his breaks. We’re looking for him to be a breakout player for the Eagles this fall for his first extended varsity action.

Marshall will be another to watch for Valley Elite, a quick wideout who like Washington will be a pain to cover 1 on 1. Arden Marshall had an impressive sophomore season for Hedgesville, good enough to get him watch listed on West Virginia’s 2027 class.

Another kid from West Virginia who came in and made a name was Hedgesville Arden Marshall. The rising junior was well thought of coming and I can see why, he acquitted himself nicely in the receiver room. Very impressive numbers in both the 40 and the shuttle run, Marshall has what it takes to play at the next level.

Back to back weeks he too along with Robertson was a top performer in his position group. Do not sleep on West Virginia high school folks, very good ball is being played.

2027 Hedgesville WR/DB Arden Marshall Arden Marshall 5'6" | 146 lbs | WR/ATH Martinsburg | 2027 State WV was under the radar coming into the Stock Up Showcase but went away earning WR Top Performer honors and recognition that’ll carry over into his junior and senior years. He’s undersized right now but showed explosiveness in his route running during 1-on-1s. Marshall is a tough cover in man coverage, especially if you don’t jam him at the line. He’s twitchy in route breaks which created separation and allowed him to consistently get open. Marshall plays well in space and has shown flashes of being dynamic with the ball in his hands and in the open field. He’s the type of athlete that you can utilize in a variety of ways on offense and can scheme into big plays. Watch for him on the Eagles’ varsity team next season with the potential to have a breakout year.
