has made the most of his increased varsity opportunities this season and is capitalizing on the potential that caught our attention as a freshman. The 2028 LB has developed significantly both physically and as a football player, and that growth has helped him force his way onto the field as a junior. Herring is a fluid athlete who moves well in space, allowing him to shoot gaps quickly and use his agility to work around blocks. He flies around with a great motor and brings a physical edge as a tackler, including a willingness to deliver big hits and embrace contact. Herring has taken a significant step forward this season and should find himself among the top linebackers in our next 2028 rankings update.

. He was a standout on their freshman/JV squad last season and showed promise as a linebacker prospect. Size will determine his ceiling at that position, but Herring flashed real upside there as a young player. He flies to the football with athleticism that will translate to future varsity success when his opportunity comes. Herring could get on the field as a receiver, too, in the future, but he has a bright future at linebacker if he keeps developing.
