Martinsburg appears to have another strong upcoming class with WR/DB Deonte Humphrey Deonte Humphrey 5'8" | 160 lbs | DB Martinsburg | 2027 WV being another future Bulldog star in the making. Humphrey earned DB Top Performer honors at our Combine in May and stood out as a young player among talented and older campers. Game film of him is limited right now, but from getting to see Humphrey in person, we’re confident he’ll develop into a top prospect in the 2027 class in time.

Humphrey will debut as the #3 defensive back in the class, and we are eager to evaluate more game film from him over the next three years.

Another top program in the state that has more talent coming through its ranks is defending champion Martinsburg which had a DB Top Performer in 2027 WR/DB Deonte Humphrey Deonte Humphrey 5'8" | 160 lbs | DB Martinsburg | 2027 WV . Humphrey is going to develop into another one of their talented two-way WR/DB players that they’ve had so much success with over the years. He’s already a natural playmaker who is going to make huge strides in his development the older he gets. Humphrey is raw right now as is expected for a 2027 prospect right now, but the early signs are already flashing that he’ll be one of the top skill players in his class by the time he’s a senior.

Humphrey is a very moldable athlete who performed well on the Bulldogs’ freshman team last season and could earn some varsity playing time as a sophomore if he continues to develop further over the off-season.
