2025 Huntington WR Taviun Chandler Taviun Chandler 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Huntington | 2025 State WV may not have quite the same stats as Tubbs but has a ton of upside and potential as a college prospect.

Chandler has tremendous size and athleticism that colleges can mold into a future star at the D2 or potentially even the D1 level. He’s a fluid athlete who can get vertical quickly and has the ability to play corner at 6’4 175. His ceiling as a receiver though has yet to be determined as Chandler has shown flashes of developing into a high-level future college player. He received his first offer recently from NAIA Pikeville, but Chandler will have plenty of options come Signing Day if colleges check out his potential on film.

Another weapon for Huntington to utilize this season in a larger capacity is 2025 WR/DB Taviun Chandler Taviun Chandler 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Huntington | 2025 State WV . He’s a long athlete who doubles as a talented basketball player in his own right but has a tremendous football ceiling as a receiver or defensive back. 6’4 and athletic are traits that can’t be taught or coached and Chandler has the natural foundation to build himself into a sought-after prospect. He should earn plenty more opportunities on offense during his senior year and will give great snaps on defense as well. If Chandler can prove he can utilize his length and athleticism closer to his full potential, it would not surprise us if D1 programs came knocking.

The raw talent is there for him to get that point in time and we look forward to seeing Chandler raise his ceiling even further as a senior.

The highest stock riser in the WR group in the spring update is Huntington WR Taviun Chandler Taviun Chandler 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Huntington | 2025 State WV . I was ecstatic to see him finally post his junior highlight tape as we had very little film to go off of in the winter update but certainly knew he had the talent to rank higher. The 6’4 170 wideout just wrapped up a successful basketball season where he showed some major hops and next-level athleticism on the hardwood. Lack of production in 2023 still keeps him lower in the rankings than where he’ll likely end up in the final update after the 2024 season, but Huntington had a loaded WR room in 2023 so reps were limited. Although they’ll return another stacked WR group in 2024, Chandler should see an increase in playing time with more opportunities his senior year and could make another big jump in future updates with possible D1 interest coming from athletic ability alone.

I fully expect Huntington receiver Taviun Chandler Taviun Chandler 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Huntington | 2025 State WV to make a big jump in our rankings after a more productive senior season but the Highlanders had a lot of mouths to feed in 2023 including two D1 signees at the position. 6’3 170 long athlete who is having a solid start to his season on the hardwood for the Highlanders. Limited film and production in 2023 as a junior so we are taking a bit of a flyer on him, but you can see the potential he has as an athlete. Chandler was also a quality and willing blocker on film which you like to see from an unselfish player who isn’t getting the ball as much as he probably would like. The Highlanders will return some other very good pass catchers but the graduation of Wayne Harris Wayne Harris 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Huntington | 2024 State WV and Malik McNeely Malik McNeely 6'4" | 185 lbs | WR Huntington | 2024 State WV opens the door for Chandler to see an increase in production and playing time in 2024.
