A second big man addition to the Huntington program who could make an impact this season for the Highlanders is former Lincoln County OL/DL Josiah Stratton Josiah Stratton 6'1" | 265 lbs | OL Huntington | 2025 State WV . Stratton has potential on both sides of the line and should see significant time in one or both spots. We’ll see where he ends up ultimately, but Stratton is a definite college prospect who should earn more next-level opportunities this season at a program with a lot of eyes on it.

He’ll have some tough competition to earn a starting spot with Highlanders, but Stratton has shown some good things on film to date and was a two-year starter for Lincoln County as a sophomore and junior. He’ll compete for a guard spot at his new program after starting at left tackle for the Panthers. This move should greatly benefit him with his 6’0 265 size but the experience at tackle will aid him with the move. Stratton has the ideal size for a small college guard and has shown quality footwork at tackle in the past that can develop into an impressive and physically imposing interior run blocker.”

He’ll have some tough competition to earn a starting spot with Highlanders, but Stratton has shown some good things on film to date and was a two-year starter for Lincoln County as a sophomore and junior. If Stratton can earn a starting spot at Huntington while performing well against some of the state’s top talent, his stock will surely rise with the potential to climb higher in the rankings.

Class AAA Honorable Mention All-State selection Josiah Stratton Josiah Stratton 6'1" | 265 lbs | OL Huntington | 2025 State WV of Lincoln County places inside our Top 30 of 2025 offensive linemen and is a consistent player for the Panthers. He’s impressive from a physical strength standpoint and is likely better suited for guard at the next level but is entrusted to protect the blindside at left tackle in high school. I thought his kick slides in pass protection were solid with the ability to get in front of quicker edge defenders and ends for an athlete his size and build playing tackle. Unsurprisingly, his raw physical strength and power translate to the field, and Stratton won’t be overpowered very often at the high school level. His 6’0 270 size paired with his physical strength and playing style is what makes us confident that he’ll develop into a quality college guard at the next level and should thrive at that position. Stratton was also a two-way player and has interior defensive line ability as well if needed. He should be able to repeat his All-State honors next season when Lincoln County drops down a class to the new AAA and is a prospect that D2 and D3 programs should be evaluating.
