Mykell Ford Mykell Ford 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Roman Catholic | 2025 State PA Is a talented player in the 2025 class. He is a good defensive tackle who does a good job, especially against the run. He is hard to move off his spot as he has good strength at the point of attack. Below is what my colleague Vic Castillo Vic Castillo RB PA said about him in the past

“Ford providing some IDL penetration too. Stat lines are tough to figure out for the big boys underneath, yet I recommend putting on the tape and watching these two work in their new home. Loved what I saw, Roman will need these two to fill some big shoes considering some of the stud defenders Roman has stationed in the front-four in years past”.

Wanted to highlight a couple of new names along the front-seven deployed by Roman Catholic this Fall. Both had solid tape to show off after their game against Wilson. That being former Viking Lazaryus Toombs Lazaryus Toombs 6'3" | 230 lbs | DL Roman Catholic | 2025 State PA and former GMifflin standout Mykell Ford Mykell Ford 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Roman Catholic | 2025 State PA . Both accounted for at least 3.5-4 sacks on tape, with Toombs serving as a threat at DE/EDGE, and Ford providing some IDL penetration too. Stat lines are tough to figure out for the big boys underneath, yet I recommend putting on the tape and watching these two work in their new home. Loved what I saw, Roman will need these two to fill some big shoes considering some of the stud defenders Roman has stationed in the front-four in years past.

Love Mykell Ford Mykell Ford 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Roman Catholic | 2025 State PA ‘s first two reps on tape. Both set the tone for the type of player you’re getting. First rep has Ford aligned in the backfield, essentially at FB. Ford levels a kid in his path, showing off his power when coupled with momentum, as well as his ability to actually move his big frame. Next rep, you can find Ford tracking a ball carrier far from his alignment pre-snap, showing off effort and motor. Complete package, a football player you can win with. High motor and effort might be some of the best the State has to offer, the kid is involved in tackles throughout the field. IDL is his home, yet GM deployed him as a 3-tech shading tackles from time to time. Great second-phase shedder. Top 100 prospect for another update.

Ford is much like Fuse, he projects to a potential three-tech defensive tackle at the next level. Ford has a quality first step but is quick to the point of attack and shows great upper body strength. He shows good athleticism and is able to keep his momentum while changing directions in the process of chasing down opposing ball carriers. As long as he continues to grow, he’ll be one of the better defensive tackles in the Keystone State in the class of 2025.
