The best part of 7-on-7s is meeting new players. Jahmil Hawkins Jahmil Hawkins 5'9" | 150 lbs | QB Roman Catholic | 2028 PA , I did not know a ton about. That’s the case for Jahmil Hawkins Jahmil Hawkins 5'9" | 150 lbs | QB Roman Catholic | 2028 PA . I came away impressed with his ability to throw the ball. Hawkins is a talented player for Roman Catholic who delivers a good ball on time. He is still learning how to play the position, but the talent is there.

Jahmil Hawkins Jahmil Hawkins 5'9" | 150 lbs | QB Roman Catholic | 2028 PA is a good athlete who is developing to play as a quarterback. He got spot duty on varsity last year when Roman Catholic dominated teams. He has a good arm, but he is also accurate in throwing the ball. Looking at some of his 7 on 7 tournament footage he is learning how to read a defense and throw it into tight windows. The biggest area of growth is his mechanics and footwork. With more playing time he should be able to clean that up and largely fix it. Hawkins has a lot of talent and should be able to start in a year or two for Roman Catholic.

Jahmil Hawkins is a smooth operator as a quarterback. He does well sitting in the pocket and finding open receivers. He seems to understand passing concepts well and knows where he wants to throw the ball. Then when he throws the ball he has good footwork and throws an excellent football. Hawkins is also a good athlete who can used in the run game. Hawkins has the tools to be a successful quarterback in high school.
