is a legit athlete in the 2027 class. Playing for the Wingmen 7-on-7 team, it was hard not to notice him. He has elite defensive back skills. His ability to turn and run, and to cover wide receivers, is special. He also has good ball skills if anything is thrown his way. He projects as a Division One defensive back. He recently went to West Virginia. I eventually expect offers rolling his way.
Had a great time @WVUfootball yesterday! Great atmosphere and a great opportunity to see the program up close! Appreciate the time from the staff and enjoyed being around the team. Can’t wait to be back! #HailWV @RealCoachRod @CoachRodWest @adamgorney @SWiltfong_ @ChadSimmons_ pic.twitter.com/2n01eC0hN6

has a well deserved ranking, one of the best corners in the state period regardless of class. His fluidity and physicality are the best pieces of his game. He’s able to quickly flip his hips on breaks and accelerate to attack the ball. He is patient with his hands in press and when he is in man coverage he’s using the sideline as his best friend. He has versatility to play nickel at the D1 level. Acrey is strong and has the mentality to be a starting caliber nickel. Acrey holds a couple offers, such as Indiana and Syracuse. Acrey will only continue to grow as a player and he will be a top guy on the east coast by his senior year.

Getting any semblance of playing time as a freshman at St. Joseph’s Prep is noteworthy alone. Plugging in this young man’s tape, you’ll understand why I’m so high on his potential as a future blue-chip recruit. Making the most of his opportunities on varsity,

returned numerous punts for positive yardage, showing off his skills with the football in the open field. St. Joe’s likes to make sure prospects are prepared to play more than one position, especially if the talent and versatility are to be had in a player.
Projecting where Acrey could align in 2024 is tough considering his early involvement in all three phases of the game. Wideout is an option, Ramier Hardy,

is in prime position to stand out in one of the Nation’s top football programs. Acrey has the talent to thrive in said position, I’m expecting big-time programs to pull the trigger on his game sooner rather than later.

I knew about many star underclassmen before heading out to this one. I’ve seen the Joey McLeishs, the Simaj Hills and the Kareem Haqqs of the world beforehand. One kid I had yet to see work in person was

, a highly-ranked freshman who is already going to see a jump this coming update. Phenomenal game all-around, had special moments aligned at corner as well as on special teams. We’ve yet to see the best out of this young man. SJP is getting him right, Acrey left an impression on me, one that will likely remain positive moving forward. Currently ranked one spot outside of the top ten among his 2027 classmates. That will likely change.

Having grown up just a half hour outside of New York City, I can attest to how territorial “North Jersey” and “South Jersey” is. While the traditional North Jersey schools such as Bergen Catholic and Don Bosco Prep get much of the national headlines when it comes to high school football, there is a ton of talent in South Jersey. Acrey is the latest proof of that. He first jumped on my radar last spring, watching him tear up a very competitive spring league week after week. The 5-foot-10 and 150-pound back looks to be on the short list of extremely talented 2027 prospects. He’s fast, strong and very explosive with the ball in his hands. Expect him to have every private school in New Jersey and Philadelphia wanting him to suit up for them.
