excelled as a hybrid defender, using his versatility to impact the game in coverage. He showed strong footwork and hip fluidity, allowing him to stay with receivers in man coverage. His instincts were on display as he anticipated routes and jumped passing lanes. Winterborne’s length and athleticism made him effective at contesting passes and creating turnovers. He proved to be a dynamic defender capable of lining up in multiple spots.

is a versatile defender who brings strong technical fundamentals to both the outside linebacker and strong safety positions. His footwork and body control allow him to transition smoothly between playing in the box and dropping into coverage. Winterborne shows disciplined eye placement, quickly diagnosing plays and flowing downhill against the run. As a tackler, he demonstrates excellent form by squaring his shoulders and wrapping up ball carriers with authority. In coverage, he displays fluid hips and the ability to maintain leverage against tight ends and slot receivers. Winterborne also excels at using his hands to disengage from blockers when attacking the line of scrimmage. His ability to read blocking schemes allows him to shoot gaps and disrupt plays in the backfield. With his blend of physicality and technical awareness, Winterborne is a reliable defensive playmaker for St. Joseph’s Prep.

is a 2028 prospect who played on Junior Varsity last year for St. Joe’s Prep. He shows some good skills as a linebacker. He has good speed and athleticism. At this showcase, this is a great opportunity for a 2028 prospect to come and show his skills and grow as a player.
Great first season!

– I currently have him slotted as a Top-20 New Jersey 2028 Athlete as of June 2024.
This New Jersey roster has a lot of versatile players on it, that have/will continue to, play a number of different positions. Nobody personifies that more than the Philly-bound future St. Joe’s Prep athlete,

. He can literally play any skill position on the field. Having seen him at two PRZ Next camps and a few All-Star events, I’m starting to see his ability on the defensive side of the ball shine through. Depending on how he fills out, I could see him as a Strong Safety or Outside Linebacker. With that said, he also has the ball skills, speed and mean streak to play Wide Receiver or Tight End. He’s a true Athlete.

rounds out the trio as more of an Outside Linebacker/Strong Safety type. This was the third time I’ve seen Winterborne play in a live setting since late January–each time I really like what I see. Watching him flip his hips and not inadvertently wander into no-man’s land during pass drop drills, was masterful. Head and shoulders above the other Linebackers in terms of overall athleticism. Played the game with a high IQ and was a good judge of when to get physical or when to use his speed and length to his advantage. Next year, he’ll be making the trip from South Jersey to Philadelphia, to play at St. Joe’s Prep.

The future St. Joseph’s Prep athlete was a standout for this team. Speaking with his parents, current coach and future coaches–there is a ton of excitement about what his kid could turn into. He can literally play any position on the football field at a high level. At the SportzFarm tournament he played outside linebacker and H-Back, but very easily could have played strong safety and wide receiver. Regardless, he’s always buzzing on the field and was a nice piece on defense for Born Winners.

of a Cinnaminson in South Jersey. Coming into camp, I knew Winterborne was capable of playing a number of different positions and he proved that. He signed up for the camps as a quarterback, did drills with the running backs, but ultimately wanted to compete with the linebackers–which led to a little confusion on my end. Nonetheless, he was one of the first jersey numbers I wrote down while watching the athletes warmup and get into combine testing. The future St. Joe’s Prep Hawks (Philadelphia) measured in at 5-foot-10 and 153 pounds and ran a 4.81 in a cold bubble. His speed and agility were evident from the onset of camp. My gut says he’s a crazy-athletic outside linebacker down the line, but wherever he fits, he’s a nice piece of the puzzle.
