played well for Coatesville in the 42-21. He was a difference maker as he rushed for 188 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. Watson has a great burst when he runs with the ball. His ability to explode through a hole and make defenders miss is excellent. He then has good speed and can score anytime he touches the ball. Watson, a 2028 player, has a chance to be a good player this year after transferring from St. Joe’s Prep.

came to the showcase ready to compete and he did that the entire day. He was consistently one of the best performers at the Prep Redzone Showcase. I came away impressed with his ability to move and run. He is a good athlete who has excellent burst and quickness. He has all the skills of an excellent running back, and as a 2028 prospect, he never shied away from competition.

A back/athlete who spent his freshman year at Avon Grove HS. Has St. Joseph’s Prep in his bio now. An unassuming build attached to a young man who wows everyone who gets him under a microscope. Our RB/LB coaches were able to do just that, as well as my colleague

n RB Top Performer. Watson also was named to the PRZ PA StockUp 2nd-Team All-Camp list.
I personally didn’t get my eyes on Watson Jr. too much, yet heard nothing but good things from trusted media and coaches who did. Ed O’Brien spoke well about his open-field burst, as well as good things about Watson’s testing performance. Pat Weider Pat Weider 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR/DB Muhlenberg | 2025 PA raved about his quickness post camp too. Cutting on his freshman tape, I can see why there is a buzz surrounding this young man.
If Watson’s transfer to SJP is complete, I’ll be forced to pay a much closer eye to his game than previously imagined. I’m excited to do so.

is another talented running back who excelled at the Prep Redzone Showcase. His quickness and burst were apparent throughout the showcase. He displayed an ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the position drills. He showed a good ability to use jump cuts when he was going through various drills. Watson’s elusiveness also stood out in the one-on-one drills. Watson has a chance to be a good running back down the road for St. Joe’s Prep.

has a to potential to play many positions on the football field. He is a good athlete that has good speed and excellent footwork. He gets in and out of his breaks well. As a wide receiver or as a running back he has the speed and ability to play well. Watson could also play as a defensive back by showing good coverage skills. Watson is a good athlete in the 2028 class.

He measured in at only 5-foot-3 and 125 pounds, but I’m warning you right now to not get hung up on Watson Jr.’s smaller stature. The 2028 Pennsylvania prospect made a number of plays that made me do a double-take at camp on Sunday. He truly is an ATH at this point and originally signed up for camp as a wide receiver, but made the switch and ran with the running backs at camp. A jitterbug type of player, his quickness in short proximity was a thing of beauty personified by his 7.59 time in the shuttle was the second quickest among 2028 running backs and third quickest amongst all tote-rockers.
