Expert Analysis
Vic Castillo | Prep Redzone Scout
6’1, 190 from St. Joseph’s Prep, 3.5 GPA. Played against elite competition and held his own at safety. Brings a front-seven mentality with a DB skill set, which stands out immediately. Comfortable in both run support and coverage situations. Ceiling stretches into FCS/D1 conversations with continued development. Current ranking feels like a baseline.

- 6’1, 190 pounds. Seeing substantial work as an upperclassman, specifically at Safety for SJP. Former PRZ camp alumnus. Currently on our watch list.
- Serves as the hole-dropping safety in a Prep defense that often deploys a two-high look. Not too many pure pass-cover reps in his first-four, yet love Jaquez’s confidence working in the box and helping out in run support from his safety spot. This is a young man whose name I heard for what feels like years now, great to see him seeing the field as an upperclassman in what is a star-studded defense. Great to see his measurables improving, too. Looks to be the safety that works the weak-side of an offense, the last line of defense or a second-level lane stuffer. Would do wonders seeing Jaquez wall off digs/crossers, I’d rank him considerably well if I knew how he handled play-side routes. Happy to see his Hudl filling up.
