showcased his physical presence even in a 7-on-7 setting, bringing intensity and leadership to the defense. He displayed strong instincts in pass coverage, reading the quarterback’s eyes and positioning himself well in zone. His ability to close space quickly made him a factor underneath, limiting easy completions. Boggs also showed fluid movement for his size, proving he can run with receivers in short to intermediate routes. His combination of size, awareness, and competitiveness stood out throughout the event.

is tough not to notice. He is a big (6’1″) and yoked-up linebacker. He looks like he is ready to put pads on tomorrow and go hit someone. At the 7-on-7 tournament, he was outstanding. He showed off good coverage skills. Boggs is committed to Princeton, which is a gigantic get for them. Boggs is a legit prospect and a talented linebacker.
I am honored to announce my commitment to Princeton University!
I would like to thank my family, friends, and my coaches for their support throughout this journey.

passes the eye test as a division 1 linebacker. The height is good and he can easily add a few more pounds to his frame. Boggs plays strong and physical. Boggs has some OLB versatility as well. He pairs his physicality with a wicked first step and has great reactionary instincts. When I watch Boggs I just get the feeling of good player. When he gets under blocks he locks out and rips, in the pass game he can drop back into a hook curl and make a play on the football. Boggs is the complete package at the LB position and is a perfect player alongside his teammate Brandon Lockley. Expect to hear Boggs name a ton in the next season.

-Essentially fresh off the plane from an event in Texas, Boggs was a prospect I was excited to see live and the South Jersey prospect did not disappoint with his performance
-Measured in at 5-foot-11 and 190-pounds and appeared to be significantly more muscular than and thicker than I anticipated. He really looked the part of a very good upcoming freshman Linebacker
-I always say how much I love Linebackers who also wrestle and Boggs fits this to the tee. Did a tremendous job of balancing playing aggressively, but also in control. Effortlessly changed his levels to attack the bag during blocking drills. Also showed pretty good speed and moved fluidly, as well

John is a commanding linebacker coming out of southern New Jersey. With his impressive speed and strength, John is a force inside the box who has no problem stopping the run before the play gets started. The instinctual nature to his game leads him to the ball and his explosiveness helps him bring the ball carrier down. When John is blitzing off the edge, its game over. The 6-foot, 175-pounder has lighting speed and has proven to be too much for the guys up front, as he gets to the quarterback almost instantly. In coverage, John does a good job of staying patient in his zone and allowing the ball to come to him. John has an explosive tape and could become one of the best linebackers in New Jersey for the class of 2027. In addition to his ability on the football field, he’s also one of the better wrestlers in the Garden State, as well.
