St. Joseph’s Prep has had a down season by their standards, but got a huge win against Roman Catholic this weekend. Led by starting quarterback Charlie Foulke, they beat Roman Catholic 40-39 in overtime. He passed over 200 yards and had a total of 4 touchdowns in the win. 2 touchdowns were rushing and 2 were throwing touchdowns. An impressive performance for Foulke, the top quarterback in the 2027 class.

Foulke is uber-talented. His QB1 status in Pennsylvania makes a ton of sense, and I was not surprised in the slightest when I discovered that information. He had the throw of the day for me and was my offensive MVP for the day, and I can’t wait to see what he can do tomorrow.

does everything and more that you would want out of an FBS quarterback. The ball velocity and speed zips and makes it easy for him to place the ball in good spots. Foulke makes far hash throws look like child’s play, and seems polished, confident, and comfortable when throwing over the middle of the field. He has some mobile aspects to his game, but I find he enjoys standing strong in the pocket to deliver rather than running outside and being a gamer. I got the chance to watch Charlie live against Downigtown West this season, where he looked unfazed by the crowd, the game, and anything West threw at him. He holds many D1 offers and I expect him to be one of the best QBs in the state again this year.

I heard about the hype around Charlie Foulke entering this past season, so I was excited to see his film; well, he outplayed the hype. He had a tremendous year helping lead St. Joseph’s Prep to another State Title. Foulke has great mechanics and footwork in the pocket. It might be one of the best films I have seen by a quarterback in a long time. His ability to set his feet and throw the ball on time is exceptional. He is also extremely accurate in throwing the ball to his receivers. He is also a machine in the pocket as he does a great job reading the defense and finding the open receivers. Foulke is super talented and has a chance to be a special player next season.

Up against a vaunted PCC defense, I came away pleased with Foulke’s first showing in a Championship setting. Foulke IV connected with his underclassman counterpart Jett Jett MN Harrison on several occasions, this on his way to a modest yet encouraging 150-yard passing night. 13 of 22 passes completed, one of which went for a score. Foulke stepped up and performed relatively well as he led this Prep offense to yet another State Title victory.

Charlie Foulke is showing everyone in Pennsylvania why he is the top quarterback in the 2027 class. He is good at both inside and outside the pocket. He has great mechanics and footwork in the pocket. It is next-level footwork in the pocket. He delivers the ball promptly to his receivers. Then, when the play breaks down, Foulke shows a good ability to make something happen. St. Joseph looks like they got a good chance to go to the State Title game again and Foulke is one of the reasons why.

leads the reigning 6A State Champions into the 2024 Fall season. Foulke is the new man behind center, attempting to fill the cleats left behind by Cincinnati commit Semaj Jones. There will be growing pains, there will be mistakes, no one is expecting an unseasoned Foulke to tear through a national schedule as if he was an experienced senior like McCord or Jones, who already had State Title runs under their belts. The SJP staff didn’t shy away in terms of scheduling, having Foulke and the new look Hawk offense face up against an Ohio powerhouse in St. Edward in Week 0/1.
Foulke IV ripped off 40+ passes in his debut, completing less than 50% of his passes, yet throwing a pair of touchdown passes, as well as eclipsing the 225-yard mark. SJP would fall by two scores against St. Edward, yet I imagine there were plenty of good takeaways post-game, plenty of good habits to instill, as well as bad ones to break. The sophomore passer would lead SJP to back-to-back victories after the debut loss to St. Edwards, beating the likes of Erasmus Hall and Good Counsel.
There is no tape on Foulke’s Hudl just yet, excited to eventually dive into it once it releases. In Foulke’s last two games, he’s racked up 300 passing yards, throwing for one score, completing 60% of his passes. The top-ranked 2027 QB recently announced he received a scholarship offer from North Texas.

has limited film from last year, but has all the tools to be a successful quarterback. Looking at some of his film from the off-season you see the talent. He has excellent mechanics and footwork in the pocket. He does well reading the defense and delivering a good football. Foulke has all the talent in the world and I expect he will start and play a lot for St. Joseph’s Prep this season.
Off-Season Update: Not much of an update on his Twitter page, but I did see him throw at the Prep Redzone Showcase. He played on the St. Joseph Prep team that played well at the showcase. I expect his recruiting buzz will start to pick up in the fall.

was a top 10 performer just like his St. Joseph’s Prep teammates and also I named him as one of the top 2027s overall at the tournament. Foulke was impressive making throws to the sidelines and showcased some high level arm talent for a ’27 prospect. Check out Foulke IV and a throwing compilation of his top plays in our top 10 article.

, that was more willing to test incredibly tight windows. We are talking about Charlie Foulke here, the top-ranked 2027 passer in Pennsylvania. Foulke continues to progress, with events like this providing the young QB an opportunity to run sets he’s likely to run in the Fall and build both familiarity and chemistry with his wideouts. From my perspective, he did just that. Impeccable timing, a rhythm you don’t see out of Freshman passers. It’s a testament to the work put in by both Foulke and the coaching staff, I could make the case that Charlie looked the best out of the SJP trio present. You can check out his passing compilation below. I speak more about his connection with
