I’ve gone on record saying Ryan McDonald Ryan McDonald 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB St. Josephs Preparatory | 2025 State PA boasts one of the best safety tapes I’ve out of current PA prospects regardless of class. I got to get a glimpse of that terrific safety this weekend. I also got a glimpse at McDonald at corner, icing on the cake. Had three interceptions to his name, could have easily had double that the way he was covering from both his safety and corner alignments. One of the few prospects at this event to give Tourney MVP Nick Conlan Nick Conlan 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB West Haven | 2025 State New E fits, same goes for Elias Coke Elias Coke 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR/DB Harrisburg | 2026 State PA , one of the best prospects in the entire state. Ryan McDonald Ryan McDonald 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB St. Josephs Preparatory | 2025 State PA was playing with his food, a defensive leader and technician who dominated the field at this event.

Not enough attention is paid to Ryan McDonald Ryan McDonald 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB St. Josephs Preparatory | 2025 State PA on SJP’s loaded defense. Everyone gawks at the Agards, the Saccas and the Cam Smith Cam Smith 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB St. Joseph's Prep | 2025 State PA ‘s of the world, deservedly so. Yet time and time again, number 19 is the one flashing brilliance both in pass coverage, as well as in run support. I’d go out on a limb to say that Ryan McDonald Ryan McDonald 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB St. Josephs Preparatory | 2025 State PA is the best box/run-supporting safety in his class, arguably in the entire state. What’s best, McDonald isn’t held to that alignment, he can still show off range and play passes to his half of the field. McDonald is likely a comfortable and trustworthy option to deploy in the slot if need be. The understanding of leverage usage, the tenacity and edge he plays with, yes he isn’t close to Sacca’s stature, yet his exemplary physicality at DB makes up for it. So much so that I’d trust him to align manned up on any TE in the state. It’s about time we acknowledge this young man’s tape. There will no be shortage of eyes on the entire SJP roster, so time will tell if McDonald is worthy of my top ten ranking. I’ll continue to plug his name moving forward.
