was not only the top quarterback performer but the overall MVP of the tournament as he led CT-Prime to a dominant performance throughout both days on their way to winning the entire tournament. Conlan was quick and efficient getting the ball out quickly and spreading it to multiple different targets all weekend. Check out some more analysis on Conlan and his CT-Prime counterparts in Vic’s article about the champions.

1. CT Prime
The man behind center for the winning program. A polar opposite to Lamar Best’s style, yet equally, if not more impressive a passer. Here’s my eval on the Tourney MVP

as a top ten QB prospect in all of New England, fourth in Connecticut at the time. I won’t speak on any current rankings as I am out of responsibility. One thing’s for sure, Nick Conlan

showed up and dominated each rep at our first PRZ PA 7v7. Named tournament MVP, we are releasing a “Top 30 Performances” piece that fully encapsulates the 18U tourney as a whole, I’m sure you can guess where West Haven’s QB will land on that list.Passing thread below, you can witness how consistent Conlan’s release stayed throughout the event. Unassuming physically, yet plenty of torque and hip fire witnessed. Conlan’s front leg stabs the turf, he transfers his weight well, stays balanced too. This, combined with a replicable release, makes for a deadly accurate passer. In this setting, it seemed like Conlan didn’t miss a single throw throughout the two-day event. The epitome of calm and cool, game style matches his demeanor. The young man is as pleasant to watch as he is to talk to. Not a ton of flashy deep balls, Conlan is more of the “make the right decision” type of passer, which ultimately led to CT Prime winning the Championship. Takes what’s in front of him, gives his playmakers room to work with by getting the ball out of his hands quickly and in stride. Conlan had no problem distributing to Reid early in possesions, letting Reid toy with defenders however he pleased. Where Conlan comes up big, the biggest reason CT Prime was so hard to beat all event, Conlan’s accuracy inside of 15 yards. Incredible anticipation skills, incredible touch/tempo, kid can layer the ball like some of the best in the tournament and it showed. Conlan’s ability to stay ready from a footwork perspective had him ready to fire off a rocket the millisecond he reads a target about to come open. Kid didn’t break a sweat, proud to see him dominate, as I remember seeing him work as a freshman two years ago at the same venue.

Conlan, the QB for West Haven has been extremely productive during the fall season and could be the top QB prospect in the 18u bracket. Conlan is poised in the pocket and showcases the ability to push the ball vertically with velocity. Conlan has good touch on his passes and can alter the ball flight and the style of throw he needs to make at a high level. Conlan is not afraid to put the ball in tight windows and showcases confidence in his arm talent. Conlan is a talented QB prospect who should have a strong group of offensive playmakers at his disposal.

He is another 2023 prospect who had several weekly repeated notable performances. THis past weekend he rushed for two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score and the last touchdown. He threw two touchdown passes, for 77 and 21 yards. He then threw a two-point conversion pass to solidify a win for his team. He has made 198 attempts and completed 117 of those attempts for a total of 1866 total passing yards and 21 TD’s this season. He has also carried the ball 116 times for 727 yards and 7 rushing TD’s. An impressive statistical season for this senior.
His pocket awareness is a solid trait he uses to his advantage. He can escape the pocket and make plays on the run with his feet or arm. An athlete under center who can make plays is what I see. He plays with an obvious confidence in his skills. Has good quickness and speed and slippery runner when he carries the ball. Does a nice job in RPO.

He is ranked as the #4 class of 2025 quarterback in Connecticut and also the #11 ranked quarterback in the New England. He attends West Haven High School in Connecticut.
Conlan is another very good athlete under center. He has excellent athleticism combined with high level mechanics for the QB position. He is a bit undersized for the position but he does have the feet, arm strength, and smooth mechanics to attract coaches at the next level. What that level will be is yet to be determined. He is dynamic and has playmaking abilities.
He should see an array of summer college camp invites come in and will likely have to perform in front of college coaches eyes to over come the height size concerns.
