and just like Cimone, Elijah was very impressive and took advantage of all the reps he was able to get. Smitherman measured in at 5’4 and he was certainly giving up any height advantage to just about every wide receiver he went one on one with. But Smitherman used his technique and a springy jumping ability to lock some wide receivers down. Smitherman really impressed during the individual drills and then when the camp went into competitions. And there’s still plenty of time for him to grow but the natural ability at the cornerback position is already there.
