- mightily impressed with this kid on both sides of the ball when I was in attendance.
- served as a consistent rusher off the edge, consistent pressure either to the QB or disrupting BCs and punters with almost instant penetration.
- TFLs, a safety, sacks, the kid was a blur against a RT that had no business blocking the lean and long Kam Chisholm Kam Chisholm 6’2″ | 195 lbs | DL Middletown Area | 2024 State PA .
- Chisholm provided impact blocking when aligned at TE or WR too, effort to block for his guys downfield impressed me.
- Primaries as an EDGE defender but caught some balls against Imani, works stick and hitch routes well, can square up and show his numbers to the QB to provide a big target.
- Excited to get him ranked after watching more of his tape after Week 0.
Highlights
- t
- probably the most eye-opening first impression on this list.
- Vandiver torched the Steelton secondary both from the pocket or out.
- Anticiplatory throws seen from the pocket, hitting nines, posts, digs, curls, slants, wheels, all on time and in rhythm.
- What separates this kid from the bunch is what he’s capable of when the offensive line can’t hold up, or when plays break down.
- Awesome in impromptu situations, can churn up yards both in designed QB keepers or when improvising on his own accord.
- Running with the football, creating for himself, this isn’t newsworthy. His ability to couple this skill with real passing skills is what leaves me excited. Will rank high.
- t
- Impressed with Gabriel Jenkins Gabriel Jenkins 6’0″ | 170 lbs | ATH Imani Christian Academy | 2027 State PA ‘ work against the run, stationed in the front-seven and inside the box, despite his DB designation. Running to the football, attacking angles, shedding, and getting to ball carriers before plays could develop.
- Steelton had their fair share of splash plays on offense, yet Jenkins did what he could to thwart promising plays from becoming big ones.
YORK HIGH 20 (0-1) VS. HARRISBURG 50 (1-0)
- t
- Amari Davis looked re-energized in a new setting.
- Served as the starting safety, came away with an interception off a tipped ball in the game I attended.
- can be deployed in two-high sets. Attacks plays in front of his face well.
- Looked quick to the football, provided some equality clean-up tackles in run support.
- Like how comfortable he’s looking early on, will watch more of his tapes as the season progresses.
Highlights
- t
- despite the tough loss, I came away pleased with James Abney James Abney 6’4″ | 180 lbs | DL William Penn York | 2024 State PA ‘s performance against the loaded Harrisburg offense.
- Lined up against a Division One prospect in Sir Kayne Venable and was able to beat him on multiple occasions, utilizing a solid get-off to get deep upfield and to Shawn Lee.
- Registered one sack, could have easily been three.
- Abney is a kid I wanted to rank high but didn’t have enough to work with to really stamp his name. I’m leaning toward boosting this kid so long as he keeps performing well for WPY.
- Can’t go without mentioning the quality blocks he put on tape when aligned at tight end.
Highlights
- t
- Harrisburg freshman team MVP last Fall, on WL solely because of a lack of tape on Hudl
- Scored a touchdown in the 50 20 win over WPY. Pinball style of running, yes he’s tiny but can absorb contact and bounce off of would-be tacklers with ease. Haven’t found much of anything after this week 0 appearance, however.
- t
- One of the better, more lasting impressions made on myself came out of 2025 RB prospect Nehemiah Ewell Nehemiah Ewell 6’0″ | 190 lbs | ATH Harrisburg | 2025 State PA , who is going to see a substantial jump in his ranking after the season.
- Big back, 6’1, 190+, tends to fall forward, can be trusted to not run out of bounds, instead fighting for yardage downfield.
- Plenty of splash runs on the night, working out of gun and taking inside zone handoffs between the tackles.
- Ewell ripped off scores on a 45+ yard run, as well as another score on an 85-yard run soon after.
- Hell of a night that will stick with me all the way to December.
Zymere Hill Zymere Hill RB Harrisburg | 2025 State PA
Zymere Hill Zymere Hill RB Harrisburg | 2025 State PA
- t
- Zymere Hill Zymere Hill RB Harrisburg | 2025 State PA also scored on the night, making the story of the night the three new backs deployed by Harrisburg.
- Three TDs on the night, runs of 15, 45, and 65, the 65-yard touchdown showcasing angle-breaking speed and acceleration when bouncing runs outside of the tackles
- Deciding which back is the more special of the three is tough. Zymere came away with the best overall performance, will add he served as a pass-catcher out of the backfield too.
Germantown Academy 50 (1-0) vs. Simon Gratz 28 (1-1)
- t
- lack of tape has led to George Arendt George Arendt 5’11” | 160 lbs | ATH Germantown Academy | 2025 State PA , a top 200 prospect, being held off the rankings officially. Despite the lack of tape on Hudl, I know all too well what this kid is capable of.
- In the Gratz-GTown game I attended, Arendt put Gratz DBs to work, beating coverage seamlessly to get himself open in the endzone on two different occasions.
- You can ask Arednt, he hardly broke a sweat doing so, he’ll battle Andrew Towsen Andrew Towsen 6’1″ | 195 lbs | WR Germantown Academy | 2025 State PA , another top 100 prospects, for targets from promising prospect Xavier Stearn Xavier Stearn 6’5″ | 200 lbs | QB Germantown Academy | 2026 State PA .
- t
- the stats are great, flashy production, it’s the little things that impress me with Stearn’s performance against Gratz down the shore.
- Consistent base and dropback with each passing rep, you just don’t see this often from young quarterbacks especially ones making their first start.
- Great head movement, can dart from read to read, but Stearn isn’t fidgety with his eyes, both feet and eyes are calm post and pre-snap. Base stays tight during drop back as well as when stepping into the pocket.
- effortless deep ball, threw multiple 30+ yard TDs with a simple forward hip and flick. Not too much of a hitch visible from what I saw.
- Accurate and on time when targetting routes underneath the defense, has no shame in taking what the defense gives him. Catches the snap, finds his key defender, and hits outs or hitches outside the nimbers with ease, often doing so from the opposite hash mark too.
- A dominant performance from a kid I’m very fond of.
Highlights
- t
- IOL and IDl reps out of Zach Kniese Zach Kniese 6’2″ | 320 lbs | DL Germantown Academy | 2025 State PA impressed me.
- Always tough distinguishing between players in the trenches when at a game live, yet oftentimes I’d see 78 absolutely flattening kids.
- Glancing at the aftermath of plays, you’d often see Kniese either in the backfield, tackling a Gratz player for a TFL, or on top of a Gratz defender after beating him at the LOS from his guard position.
Anthony Lara Anthony Lara ATH State PA
Anthony Lara Anthony Lara ATH State PA
- t
- Arendt, Stearn, and Kniese are all ranked, Anthony Lara Anthony Lara ATH State PA is the new Germantown Prospect on my radar after attending the game.
- scored twice in this one, his motor and ability to make something out of nothing impressed me.
- Slight frame, probably lighter than 170 pounds, yet you couldn’t tell in this one.
- Sets up his runs well, good eye discipline lets him cut at the last moment and catch defenders off guard. Great drive in his legs to keep runs alive that should have ended 3-5 yards earlier. I’ll stash his name for future purposes.
La Salle Explorers 7 (1-1) vs Malvern Prep Friars 13 (1-0)
- t
- these two sophomores are looking well beyond their years.
- I’ve been following them both for some time, so I’m hardly surprised, yet the two are making strides and developing quicker than I had imagined, largely in part because they don’t really have a choice, La Salle needs these two to step up into crucial roles.
- John-Patrick Oates is currently second on the team in terms of receiving yards, racking up 150+ yards in three games on nine catches, while also catching one of Gavin Sidwar Gavin Sidwar 6’3″ | 185 lbs | QB LaSalle College | 2026 State PA ‘s many TD passes.
- Joey O’Brien has an interception to his name, one that I saw live against Malvern Prep down the shore. PBUs, big-time coverage stops littered throughout the game, tape too. Although O’Brien exists as a soon-to-be shutdown corner, in the game I attended, he came down with multiple catches in huge moments to help La Salle stay in a game late. He might not light up a stat sheet, yet his overall skillset suggests he’s more than capable of doing so.
Highlights
- t
- Despite the countless times seeing this kid live, whether at 7v7s, camps, this is the first time I saw Gavin Sidwar Gavin Sidwar 6’3″ | 185 lbs | QB LaSalle College | 2026 State PA in live action.
- A dog who has the mental make-up to not be deterred by big moments in games.
- More performances like this will have La Salle competitive against any team in the state.
- 13-18, 29-43, 20-29, the last three completion ratios for Sidwar, all against great talent.
- 830 yards and six touchdowns in three games. Consider these close losses as considerable growth necessary for Sidwar to develop, grow, and take the leap toward being one of the best QBs in the state.
- t
- Grayson McKeogh Grayson McKeogh 6’8″ | 235 lbs | DL La Salle College | 2026 State PA couldn’t help but stand out on the field.
- 6’8, 235, starting opposite Kieran Campbell Kieran Campbell 6’3″ | 230 lbs | DL La Salle College | 2024 State PA .
- 4.33 GPA
- huge size, one that has to intrigue collegiate coaches that stop by the program.
- stuck out like a sore thumb, had 3 to 4 passes deflected in this one, something that should be a given each week.
- Was close to registering a sack against MP, still came up big defending the run.
- Still raw, not sure how new to football he might be.
- Is a name I’ll throw to college coaches.
- t
- had to highlight these two.
- Dylan Clair and Jack Leuthe Jack Leuthe 6’0″ | 205 lbs | LB La Salle College | 2025 State PA , two 2025 linebackers stashed on our Watchlists, have turned into grown men before my eyes. Clair and Leuthe had to combine for at least 15 tackles together, if not more.
- Malvern Prep had their fair share of big plays, yet if MP’s offense was throttled, it was likely Clair and Leuthe who put a stop to any would-be big plays by Smith and company.
- Dogs who run to the football, two backers who sniff out runs and are willing to put their bodies on the line to stop many of the backs Malvern Prep deploys.
- I heard Leuthe might’ve come away injured after this one, which would be a huge shame. Either way, both linebackers are on a fast track to getting ranked, as well as garnering some attention in recruiting.
Highlights
- t
- People made noise about my ranking of Pellicciotta, placing him inside the top 20 among DBs.
- Pellicciotta’s two-way, versatile performance against La Salle proves this kid belongs with the big boys in terms of ranking.
- A touchdown pass caught, a touchdown on the ground, 119 total yards from scrimmage in what I’d call limited opportunities on offense.
- A clutch player who can double as an equally impressive defensive back.
- It’s tough to have your stock rise when you’re already ranked as a D1 prospect, Andrew might’ve done just that, however.
Highlights
- t
- hard to be surprised by anything these three do on the field.
- Hard to find bigger fans of Udo, Blakey, and Tabasso than me, these three held down the front four, coming up with an abundance of TFLs and Sacks against La Salle.
- Bernard and Udo registered three sacks as a duo, with Udo coming away with two to Blakey’s one. Bottling up Stevie Davis Stevie Davis 5’7″ | 175 lbs | RB La Salle College | 2024 State PA and making Gavin Sidwar Gavin Sidwar 6’3″ | 185 lbs | QB LaSalle College | 2026 State PA uncomfortable is no easy feat, especially with some of the names up front blocking for La Salle.
- Tabasso was all over the field too, was tough to see him through the trash in the trenches from my seat on the sideline, yet I must’ve heard his name called 6-8 times in this one.
Highlights
- t
- Bauer’s 10+ tackle performance further solidified his stance as one of the best linebackers in the state.
- His build/frame is a daunting one, one that I know opposing backs don’t want barrelling toward them in the open field or in the gaps.
- Doesn’t look like your average 6’1, 220 pound linebacker.
- Registered tackles downfield, towards the sideline, outside the numbers, long story short, the kid was everywhere against La Salle.
- Not only witnessed Bauer play the run, he played the pass and was willing to attack curl zones to the left or right of him.
Roman 30 vs Episcopal Academy 14
- t
- Was the new name identified at this one
- Here is what I had to say about Luke Van Brill in an earlier piece.
- I don’t dabble into NJ football too much, and it shows. Noticed a Luke Van Brill Luke Van Brill 6’0″ | 210 lbs | TE Kingsway | 2024 State NJ getting significant time, producing too, was a name I didn’t recognize on Roman’s Hudl. Van Brill is apparently ranked as a top-ten TE in NJ before transferring to Roman before the season. 6’1, a filled-out 210. Can designate as a WR/TE depending on where Roman wants to align him pre-snap. A tough kid whose defensive reps prepare him for trench work, so having him block as an in-line TE isn’t out of his comfort zone. I’d consider him an impact blocker, especially considering his size. Van Brill likely projects to LB at the next level, yet using Van Brill in an H-back style makes too much sense. Align him in the slot, he can work seams and corners. Align him at MLB and he can plug holes like some of the best in the state. Utilize him in the backfield, at FB, at ITE, he can help block in more sophisticated run sets. I like this kid a ton.
- scored twice, involved everywhere. Becoming a big fan.
- t
- The likes of Jah Jah Boyd, Mikey Preston Mikey Preston 5’11” | 170 lbs | DB Roman Catholic | 2024 State PA , Julian Green Julian Green 6’1″ | 180 lbs | DB Roman Catholic | 2025 State PA , and William Felder have seen plenty of tick on our site. I’ve decided to highlight a few new defenders out of Roman that impressed me, a group that set the tone early in this easy win against Episcopal Academy.
- Diabira, formerly out of Frankford and Lincoln, and Mykell Ford Mykell Ford 6’1″ | 260 lbs | DL Roman Catholic | 2025 State PA , formerly out of Governor Mifflin, have both made their presences felt through three games. They each made plays when I attended their matchup last weekend. Diabira has a lot more dog in his than I give him credit for. In on tackles all throughout the field, a ton of displacement from his alignment pre-snap, this kid is a runner and brings a motor and energy with him. He scored on a scoop-and-score early in this one.
- Jaasai Simmons made me think Jameial Lyons was on the field for a moment. That is after Simmons absolutely destroyed an EPA athlete on an end-around that he read like a book. This led to the first scoop-and-score of the first quarter.
- Jameial Lyons’s don’t grow on trees, yet Roman has something cooking with Simmons, who is looking more filled out than ever.
Highlights
- t
- Although Roman had this game in the bag early, taking a 30-0 lead into the fourth quarter, I can’t go without mentioning the efforts of Ijaaz Abdul-Malik Ijaaz Abdul-Malik 6’2″ | 205 lbs | ATH Episcopal Academy | 2024 State PA and Alphonso Koukou Alphonso Koukou 6’2″ | 275 lbs | DL Episcopal Academy | 2024 State PA . The game would have ended with a score of 60-0 had these two not continued to put forth serious effort in stopping the run or making Semaj Beals Semaj Beals 6’1″ | 155 lbs | QB Roman Catholic | 2026 State PA uncomfortable.
- Both Abdul-Malik and Koukou rank as D1-level prospects, so I’m not surprised the two came up big at times. I’m just pleased to see them not give up in a game that was had early on.
