, captain of an undefeated La Salle team, has seen continued momentum in recruiting. We reported on the Saint Francis offer Leuthe earned back in May, we are pleased to report on his most recent offer pick-up, this coming from Merrimack College. The Leuthe-Merrimack connection is a shoe-in, I’m surprised the program wasn’t first to offer the senior backer back in the offseason.
No matter, what’s special is having two FCS opportunities at hand, with more FCS/D2 interest likely coming. Hardly any better feeling than seeing hard work bare fruit in real time.
#AGTG After a great conversation with @coachbom , I am blessed to receive my SECOND D1 offer from @Merrimack_FB !!!@Coach_Kessel20 @CoachGennettiMC @LaSalleFball @EdOBrienCFB @LSCHSFBStrength @PRZPAvic @Sully8912 pic.twitter.com/1gcyRKMCxP

play I’m reminded of the prospect colleges are missing out on. There are poor misconceptions about his size, Leuthe holds an offer out of Saint Francis, yet for this to be his lone offer at this stage of his career is baffling, this being my own opinion. Regardless of opinions, I was able to see Leuthe put on a show against an elite Malvern Prep football team, casting away unreasonable margins placed upon the young man. When it’s time to suit up, when it’s time to ball, this kid shows up.

. Leuthe would see green grass ahead of him and take this pick to the house, elevating the Explorers lead to 18 at the time. The highlight capped off a night where Leuthe sniffed out ball carriers all over the field. Aligned beside

, Leuthe can react like lightning to zone-runs playing off-tackle. Play Leuthe at the LOS and he can chase down ball carriers when aligned backside, or set the edge and throttle runs headed his way. If weight was a problem, LaSalle wouldn’t be comfortable placing Leuthe all over the front seven. Leuthe’s game doesn’t look much different than it has in the past, I’m excited to learn that he still has the juice to set the tone in a game littered with HS stars. I can’t help but feel Leuthe is a top ten backer in what is a historic backer class in Pennsylvania. Here’s to hoping schools hit his line before October comes around. Stock is back up.

not receiving much love in the form of a scholarship opportunity. This being said, I preach patience, every young man’s journey is a bit different. Leuthe announced on May 31st that he received his first FCS offer out of Saint Francis post-camp. I’ve spoken about the snowball effect that hits post first offer, I expect floodgates to open up after the FCS stamp by SFU. Leuthe’s tape doesn’t need such a stamp in my opinion, it speaks for itself. Watch for Leuthe’s stock to continue to rise.

One of the best tapes to plug in. Put aside measurables, testing numbers, upside, plug this tape in and watch LaSalle’s

absolutely terrorize ball carriers. Operates with a four-man front ahead of him, often aligned as the SAM backer in the base 4-3 front. Tape has Leuthe spying a QB, a rep that showcases his closing speed once he sets his eyes on a BC and diagnoses. Next rep showcases Leuthe’s ability to play the pass, he drops and occupies a zone that leads to an interception. If you’re going to be the “smallest” backer of this group, if you’re going to be ranked inside the Top100 of your class, you better make up for the lack of size with supreme athleticism, Leuthe does that. Leuthe can station near the LOS when working as a WILL, this is where I think the young man excels. A backer with a back mentality, the young man sniffs out BCs like a shark, his key/diagnosing skills based on OL post-snap movement is as good as anyone in the state. If LaSalle wants to deploy an extra DB, they can count on Leuthe to occupy gaps between the tackles. He’s 200-210 pounds, but trust that he can bring his pads and thwart OL/FBs that want to get to the second level, the momentum he plays with helps here. The loose adjective “dog” is thrown around a lot these days, Leuthe embodies that word, however.

‘s climb into elite territory on our ranks, the junior Explorer has received JDI’s out of UConn, Temple, and Cornell. Leuthe recently wrapped up his UConn visit after being invited by WR Coach Kashif Moore. This will be a hot name among programs recruiting LBs in PA, I don’t expect his name to cool off anytime soon, the opposite is likely to happen.

, two 2025 linebackers stashed on our Watchlists, have turned into grown men before my eyes. Clair and Leuthe had to combine for at least 15 tackles together, if not more. - Malvern Prep had their fair share of big plays, yet if MP’s offense was throttled, it was likely Clair and Leuthe who put a stop to any would-be big plays by Smith and company.
- Dogs who run to the football, two backers who sniff out runs and are willing to put their bodies on the line to stop many of the backs Malvern Prep deploys.
- I heard Leuthe might’ve come away injured after this one, which would be a huge shame. Either way, both linebackers are on a fast track to getting ranked, as well as garnering some attention in recruiting.

As I told you two weeks ago, Leuthe was one of the fastest kids in camp and I meant it. Clocking one of the fastest 40s on the day, this Pennridge rising junior should have the Rams faithful excited for a big fall. His performance at our showcase should only add to his momentum, I expect big things ahead for this young man.

One of the fastest linebackers in attendance was this class of 2025 standout. Leuthe ran one of the faster times in the 40 not only for his position group, but the entire camp! Watching him live I can understand why my colleagues were very high on him, this kid can play. A two sport start in football and track for Pennridge, you can clearly see how he transitions his track speed onto the football field.
