is a complete running back from La Salle College. As a runner, he gets downhill very well. He also shows a good ability to run any run play. He is a complete run blocker because of his blocking and receiving. On one play, La Salle College was running a jet sweep, and Nelson laid out the defender to create a good run play. Then, as a receiver, he shows a good ability to catch the ball. He is also excellent between the tackles. He runs hard and breaks many tackles. Nelson is a talented running back who has elite skills.

was the top running back in the Prep Redzone Showcase. He won the MVP for her performance and was in the 1st team offense selection as well. Nelson was the most consistent running back in the entire showcase. His ability to compete and do well the entire time was impressive. The best part of his game is his ability to jump cut. Seeing him in the bag drill and cut was impressive. He also did a good job competing in one-on-one drills. He did a great job of running routes and catching the ball.

Nelson could have brought home the MVP chain at either running back or linebacker, ultimately ending up with the latter. Maybe it was the bright lime green cleats that kept my attention, but my eye kept catching his reps as I bounced around the field. Strong, solid build and got to full speed really quickly on both sides of the ball through drills. In conversation it was tough to get anything more than an occasional smile out him, but that’s fine. He was all business on the field and it was evident pretty quickly that he’s one of the top 2027 backs coming out of Philadelphia. He’ll be at La Salle College High School in the fall.

is quick hole-hitting back to know early out of Philadelphia. The Quaker State running back stands at 5’8 and has proven to stand out amongst the competition in a pretty talent-rich area. Ahzir is a dynamic running back who excels at running the ball out of the backfield and catching the ball in a variety of different routes. After the mesh point in the backfield, Ahzir is one of the best at finding his lane and making one quick cut to hit his aiming point. After that, with his speed, he typically eats up a big chunk of yards before defenders can get a hand on him. Despite not being the thickest back in the world at this point, he can rumble between the tackles and can take a few licks from the bigger guys in the middle. He’ll be a the PRZ Next Rising Prospect tour in Pennsylvania this May. Looking forward to seeing him live.
