is a QB out of Malvern Prep that I’ve been high on for a while. He has smooth mechanics and can make any throw on the field. What I really like is his resilience on and off the field. This is a kid that battled through gruesome injury to come back and still be the same Quarterback productivity wise.
When it comes to Skylers recruitment he received an offer from Lafayette on 1/18. After receiving this offer he took a visit to Easton to see what the Leopards had to offer. Then on 2/6 Smith announced his commitment to Lafayette University. To see Skyler commit to a D1 program after going through everything he did is awesome and I couldn’t be more happy for him!

Zollers and Saunders are the cream of the crop, I’d make the case that there is no better 2025 QB option outside of Malvern Prep’s

. Major props to the former camp standout, Smith recently announced his decision to commit to Lafayette University, shutting down his recruitment a bit earlier than many would expect. A QB worthy of FBS attention lands at the FCS level. The third-best QB among 2024 quarterbacks is working nearby, with

committing to Lehigh. The potential of watching Smith and Johnson work close to home has me likely attending Lafayette and Lehigh games in the future. There are a few QB prospects behind Smith that hold a candle to Smith’s complete skillset when healthy. I’m going to need strong evidence that proves another QB is worthy of this spot behind Saunders and Zollers before I think about moving Smith off of third. Excited for his future.

is another talented quarterback who could have easily moved up the list. He throws the ball with good zip and does a nice job of setting his feet to throw the ball. Smith is a talented quarterback and I am looking forward to seeing his progress this year.

The 2025 quarterback out of Malvern Prep had a pretty strong day on Friday night. The ball comes out of his hand with a nice zip and throws a nice deep ball as well. The top-60 prospect holds an offer from Lafayette.

Question: Camp’s top QB in terms of rank, will he prove us right?
The most seasoned and skilled passer that will be in the venue. Would likely be a lock for looks from any FCS walking through. Is a Group of Five prospect in my eyes, his ranking relays that notion. When you’re this far ahead of the rest of the class, he’s going to have to prove to us all that he’s a class above the rest. Dominating this camp, making it a breeze, I fully expect Smith to stand above the rest. My MVP favorite. Hard for my opinion on him to change no matter what he does in the dome. Excited to see him work.

Smith is one of the better qwuarterback prospects in the state and I was excited to see what type of step he could take from 2022 to 2023. After watching the junior film and considering the level of talent that Malvern Prep played this season, I came away quite impressed. There are a few things mechnically and fundamentally that he’ll have to work out to be successful at the next level but nothing that is majorly concerning. Smith throws the ball with a good zip and is accurate to all levels of the field. He likes to throw it a bit side arm at times in the intermiedaiet game where the velocity he thorws with is really shown off. Like yesterday when we discussed Spring-Ford’s

, Smith is a quarteback who is great at improvising and using his legs to pick up valuable yardage and a first down. I think he would work well in many offenses at the next level but I do see a quarterback who could excel very well in a triple-option offense. That’s not a knock on him as a passer either, I think he could excel as well in any spread offense at the college level as well. To finish this one up, as a passer, Smith shows a lot of promise with his velocity and the touch he can put on passes to all levels and even on the run.

. There’s a real case to be made for Smith at the two spot, considering that Shawn Lee is at two because of his Power Five offer. Temple offered Smith back in April, I imagine after talking with those in the know, that Smith is squarely on radar at programs like Rutgers and Maryland. Health will be brought up of course, yet a dominant and productive season behind center will put all those conversations to rest. Love the work put in by this kid all off-season.

, yet that should tell you just how highly I think of the soon-to-be junior quarterback. Last Fall, we all got a glimpse of what things could be like with Smith under center. Despite injuries holding Smith back, the young man gained the necessary experience needed to serve as a green light for the future.
