Recruiting Update: Shawn Lee plays both quarterback and defensive back for Harrisburg. He is listed as an athlete in our rankings but could play either position in college. Lee’s recruitment has steadily continued. He currently has offers from Akron, Old Dominion, Iowa State, Buffalo, Uconn, Monmouth, and Howard.

Recruiting Question: Does he play as a quarterback or a defensive back at the next level? I can see him playing either in college, but with his athleticism he shows he has elite tools as a defensive back. It will be fun to watch because as a quarterback in high school he is a handful to deal with.

Many of you reading this may already know about Harrisburg’s Shawn Lee Jr. Shawn Lee Jr. 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Milford Prep | 2025 State NY If you didn’t well, you’re about to know. One of the best quarterbacks and pure athlete in the state, Lee was the engine that made the Harrisburg offense go in 2023, totaling over 3,700 total yards from scrimmage thanks to 2,256 passing yards and 1,451 rushing yards.

From a passing perspective, Lee has always posted impressive numbers including this past fall in which he completed 144 of 215 passing attempts for 2,256 yards and 26 touchdowns to just five interceptions.In each of his three years as Harrisburg’s starting quarterback he’s posted 62% completion percentages or better including back to back years of 67.0%

As a rusher, Lee is explosive with great vision. He quickly identifies openings in the opposing defense, and bursts through them with ease. The only thing that may be holding back when it comes to receiving more Power Five offers is his size at 5-foot-10 and around 170-175 pounds. That being said, Iowa State, Kent State, and NC State have all offered.

I’ve gone on record before, stating how fond I am of Shawn Lee Jr. Shawn Lee Jr. 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Milford Prep | 2025 State NY the quarterback prospect. This is not a prospect who is stationed behind center at Harrisburg because the team is lacking a true passer, Shawn Lee isn’t a placeholder as a dual-threat weapon. He is a legitimate Quarterback, one of the best in the state, one that I’d still rank inside the top three had I kept him at the position, I’ve done so in the past. I believe Lee Jr. could play FCS ball, even FBS ball for some programs being recruited to play the quarterback position. That being said, I’ve made the move to make Lee Jr. the top-rated “ATH” the class of 2025 has to offer. I’ve got to talking, to coaches/trainers in the know, many of whom tell me that Lee Jr. is an equally gifted corner as he is a dual-threat passer. This coming from mouths I trust. I’d assume these Power Five schools have been in the know of this for some time as well. Lee is likely a Division One prospect at two different positions, not many ATHs can stand on that fact. Not enough National Press singing this young man’s praises, outside of PRZ of course. Watch for his name to blossom moving forward.

Shawn Lee had a good season for Harrisburg this year. He played both quarterback and defensive back for Harrisburg. Lee flashes elite skills in both positions. At quarterback, he is a dual-threat quarterback that Harrisburg uses in the run game a lot. He has improved as a thrower as well and he has learned to put good touch on the ball. He rushed for over 1,000 yards and also threw for 1,420 yards. He produced 12 rushing touchdowns and 17 passing touchdowns. At defensive back, he flashes elite cover skills and had 3 interceptions on the year. Lee is a CFB player and has an offer from NC State.

Shawn Lee is known more as the starting quarterback for Harrisburg, but he plays as a defensive back as well. Lee is a difference maker at that position and will probably play that position in college. He has legit quickness and speed and uses that along with his ball skills to make plays all over the field.

Shawn Lee the dynamic do-it-everything Junior had his typical monster game for Harrisburg. Lee plays quarterback and as a defensive back for Harrisburg. Against Central York, he scored 3 rushing touchdowns. A touchdown from 80 yards, 47 yards, and 9 yards. He also played his stellar defense at defensive back.
