Committed to West Virginia as of February 1st. Was one of the last Top 100 prospects left available after the first NSD wave. My rank shows how high I am on the kid. Preston’s range of scholarship opportunities varies dramatically, some say he’s a PSAC kid, and some, like myself, think he’s an FBS kid. Recent offers out of Charlotte and Shippensburg, Preston eventually pulled the trigger on a great opportunity with the Mountaineers. Douglas County’s Jacob Boyce is an early enrollee at CB, WV also brought in PA prospect Jason Cross, who is likely to also play DB.

Mikey Preston Mikey Preston 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Roman Catholic | 2024 State PA is a lockdown cornerback who excels in man-to-man coverage. He has the mindset, and the toughness to be a dominant player. Preston has excellent coverage skills as he can shadow and stay on top of receivers when they run toutes. Then when the ball is in the air he makes a play on the ball, and he has excellent ball skills. Preston should be able to play College Football at the FCS level he has shown elite skills to play at that level.

Mikey Preston Mikey Preston 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Roman Catholic | 2024 State PA stays put on our ranks. Recruitment started hot, with Boston College and Penn State offering the young man as a freshman. We know early offers like that are just a notion that you’re actively being recruited. Since then, Preston has secured offers out of Old Dominion, Temple, and UNC Charlotte so far this year. Despite the drop in level, Preston is still better than many of the DBs in the state, based alone on recent recruitment. Plug in the tape and that notion still stands.
