With all the additions it can be hard for kids to not only develop quick enough to jump their previously ranked peers, but also stay ahead of the new additions. With the odds against them, this group of athletes led the way with some of the largest rise in the rankings from this update. We saw huge risers throughout, with several making their way close to the Top 10, Top 50, and Top 100 overall of this deep Class. The leap in development, traits, and production can't be denied. Let's talk about what got these kids to their new, and improved, spots.

Rise: #34 up to #12

A massive leap in development has take Orville from "that next wave" of OL and put him right up there among the best of the bunch. The 2027 IOL has earned next level offers already, including a Ball State offer. Turn on the tape and you see a monstrous 270 lbs athlete. One who flies out of his stance in the run game, makes contact with violent power, and overwhelms his opponent so much that you can see the superior combination of both quickness and power working together to literally run DL off the line and past level two. Orville plays in the trenches with the exact mentality you dream for in an OL. He knows his assignment and is going to do his best to bury them quickly. Orville is so quick, violent, and powerful but always seems to play under control. This is a very exciting OL piece. A legit D1 talent.

Rise: #75 up to #25

Evan hit our radar a year ago with his intriguing frame, but it was his junior tape that has us even more excited because the big man has really grown into that frame and learned how to utilize it best. The starting right tackle has put together a tape that illustrates his strengths well. He uses his length to always make first contact and has the feet to be able to get himself into positions where he can wall off the DL while engaged with them. He has the upper body strength to control where the DL goes and finishes a lot of blocks to the ground. In pass pro the long athlete again leans on that length to control or corral edge rushers and he has the lower body to be able to set his anchor and even go from setting his anchor to driving the DL backwards. Evan is still far from his ceiling too. So much room to continue to be coached up at this level and the next.

Rise: #41 up to #29

Larenzz has earned the top ATH spot after his junior season. The 2027 WR/DB is a force on either side of the ball. I project him best as a DB at the next level, but the kid could contribute either side of the ball. On defense Larenzz plays with an unmatched level of speed and power. He is outstanding at tackling in space, and his power paired with his closing burst has left us with a highlight reel loaded up with devastating open field tackles. Pratt has outstanding range in zone coverage, quickly reading the QB or baiting him into a bad decision and accelerating in an instant to the ball. He has the natural ball skills to create turnovers too. You can't question the speed either. Easily turning and running with guys downfield and also using that speed to carve up the secondary on offense.

As a receiver you really get a sense of how smooth he is with his route running. He glides through his routes, but at the breaks you see the power to burst out of them and open up that space. The playmaker can do so much with the ball in his hands too. This is a special talent coming out of Kenosha. Someone I believe has a D1 ceiling.

Rise: #124 Up to #35

It all came together this season for '27 TE [player_tooltip player_id='1226962' first='Justin' last='Roy']. He has always had a larger frame, but this past season it looks like he has really grown into it and understands how he can dominate his opponent. Looking at him as a receiving threat, Justin is able to attack the middle of the field. We see a lot of his success coming while crossing the middle of the field and finding those soft spots. But the crown jewel of his game is his impact in the run game as a blocker. The big man brings range, power, and flexibility to the TE position in his blocking. He can cross the formation to kick out edges. Or you can have him attack upfield and drive a DE off the line and open up huge holes for the RBs. It is great to see how fluidly Justin can sink his hips to get under his opponent and then drive them out of their gap. The '27 is a force in the run game and contributing as a receiver. The best is yet to come for Justin.

Rise: #84 up to #38

What a season it was for junior QB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1226959' first='Ashton' last='Van Beek']. The Neenah starting QB is the epitome of a dominant dual threat QB. On the ground you have to consider him an RB. His vision, patience, burst, instincts, and power through contact at 205 lbs make him a nightmare to contain. Then you give him the ability to make high IQ plays and smart reads on option plays and he becomes even more dangerous. Once he gets that crease the junior is going to show off the speed to take it the distance too. At 6'2" 205 lbs and with his power and athleticism Ashton could play a lot of positions on the football field at a high level.

As a passer Ashton isn't as refined, but you see the easy arm strength to uncork it deep downfield. Plus he has the control over his placement. The raw tools are there for him to stay at QB and continue to develop that part of his game at the next level. While Ashton isn't quite as big, he reminds me so much of [player_tooltip player_id='700015' first='AJ' last='Seymour'] who was a force for Brookfield Central the past two seasons. Big things ahead for Ashton.

Rise: #168 up to #47

Austin plays in one of the best conferences in the state and has plenty of talent around him on his own team. However, watching through his junior highlights you quickly see him stand out from the crowd. The first takeaway is that he has put on more size to his frame, now pushing 245 lbs. That hasn't taken away from his impressive mobility. Austin makes it look so easy sliding laterally, changing direction, getting depth in his pass pro, or leading out in space. He covers ground and that added size has boosted his power. You see that when he makes that initial contact that quickly overwhelms his target. Even at just 245 lbs the junior has so many examples of dominance in the run game with his leverage and power. This kid is just scratching the surface of what he could become over the coming years. A must watch on film.

Rise: #107 Up to #54

A big jump in the rankings for Harlan following a strong junior season on the edge for Lourdes Academy. Harlan looks the part now more than ever, checking in at 6'4" 225 lbs. The junior edge defender has such an intriguing blend of traits. Range to fly in from a wide alignment and chase down the QB or RB. Strength to set the edge, shed the block and make the tackle. I was fortunate to watch that edge setting in person where he made key stops in some of the biggest moments of the season. Harlan can also win around the edge using his length and hand fighting moves. The small school stud keeps getting better and better. I'm excited for what is ahead of him.

Rise: #101 Up to #83

Felix found himself just outside the Top 100 last update, but his junior season left no doubt that he deserves to be among those Top 100 best players. Watching through Felix's highlights you almost can't stop wincing as he completely destroys DL. Felix is so strong and has such heavy hands. That gives the junior the ability to instantly get movement in the trenches in the run game, or bury his man in the dirt on contact. The 275 lbs OL brings athleticism to the trenches too. You see him quickly get up to level two and moving while staying in a position of power so he is ready to make contact at any moment. This kid is built to dominate in the run game. The QB/ATH is an athlete who has the talent to line up all over the field. He is dangerous athlete at QB, giving his team an extra RB in the backfield essentially. He has the vision to pick through the front seven and then has that second gear to rip off the big chunk plays or TD runs. Zeke does a great job with his decision making on read options too. He always puts the defense in bad position to make plays. The 2027 is so explosive that he also returns kicks for Darlington and has made plenty of big plays in that role too. Zeke is even putting in time in the offseason working on his passing skills to make himself even more complete and dangerous as a QB. The versatility, talent, and production can't be denied with this kid.

Rise: #228 up to #106

Jerell is one of the biggest jumps of the update. He is coming off an explosive junior season. The 215 lbs athlete is a battering ram at RB, both as a lead blocker and ball carrier. His strong lower body easily run through arm tackles without notice and he has the speed to beat angles down the sideline when Jerell gets out in space. The junior has some wiggle to his game too, showing he can make you miss with some lateral agility. It is that big frame, power, and ability to always fall forward that the big man leans on most though. He is built for a larger workload so he can wear down a defense. Definitely an RB on the rise.
