Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Next up we have a kid who is racing towards the new IOL1 spot for us in the Class of 2027. Orville is an absolute bully and mauler on the interior. Every move is quick and backed up by devastating power. His lower body has a rare blend of quickness and power. The hands are equally strong and have created pancakes on their own at a high rate. Orville is quickly rising and earning a lot of offers on the way.

When we do our rankings update later this summer I have a feeling we see Orville pushing for a Top 5 OL ranking. The kid made huge strides in his game in 2025 leading to his jump to OL7, but the dominant 2027 might not be done there. Explosive violence is how I would describe Orville’s game in two words or less. He is elite as a run blocker. He fires out of his stance with very low pad level, runs his feet through contact, and simply has the superior power to win the battle every time. The big man finishes too. Removing DL from the trenches isn’t enough. Orville puts kids on the ground and out of the play. From that initial pop from his heavy hands to the leg drive, everything Blohm does is violent.
The rapidly rising 2027 OL holds offers from Navy, Columbia, Penn, Florida Atlantic, Cornell, South Dakota, Yale, South Dakota State, Eastern Michigan, Dartmouth, Wyoming, Northern Illinois, Miami (OH), North Dakota, Lindenwood, and Ball State.

Without question, Orville has been one of the hottest recruits in the state this offseason. He has earned several Division 1 offers thus far, and with the summer camp slate still ahead of him we could see plenty more come his way. Turn on the tape and it is very apparent why so many teams want him on their future rosters. Orville has a massive frame that is built and supported by elite power. This kid absolutely runs DL out of the trenches in the run game with his violent power and fantastic use of leverage and flexible lower body. While mauling opponents it jumps off the tape how agile and athletic Orville is as well. The 6’4″ 270 lbs athlete is a special OL talent.

Rise: #34 up to #12
A massive leap in development has take Orville from “that next wave” of OL and put him right up there among the best of the bunch. The 2027 IOL has earned next level offers already, including a Ball State offer. Turn on the tape and you see a monstrous 270 lbs athlete. One who flies out of his stance in the run game, makes contact with violent power, and overwhelms his opponent so much that you can see the superior combination of both quickness and power working together to literally run DL off the line and past level two. Orville plays in the trenches with the exact mentality you dream for in an OL. He knows his assignment and is going to do his best to bury them quickly. Orville is so quick, violent, and powerful but always seems to play under control. This is a very exciting OL piece. A legit D1 talent.

What a night Orville had in a physical Week 2 victory! The junior showed off so much of his vast talent and traits. Range to get across the formation, a closing burst that turned to power on contact to destroy defenders, and exceptionally explosive quickness out of his stance. Orville’s power was just as impressive as the athleticism he demonstrated. It is one thing to be powerful. It is great to be athletic at that size. It is hard to find both in one package. Orville has that. He also plays with the right mentality. You get a sense that the junior is looking to dominate and punish on every snap. Get on this kid, today!

highlights when the season gets underway. He spent the summer catching the eyes of several Prep Redzone scouts. Orville is an easy kid to become a fan of. He is quick out of his stance, closes quickly on his targets and is able to unload some devastating power right at the point of contact. Blohm is loaded dup with power from his feet to his hands and his natural ability to play with a low pad level allows him to get underneath his opponents and drive them off the ball in the run game. Orville also has that difference-making range to his game, easily reaching DL or getting to level two. The arrow is only going to continue to point upwards for Orville. Keep a close watch on this kid.

. He is growing and filling out a solid frame and the athletic tools within it will make him a next level recruit. His short area quickness was key on several reps of his highlights as he was able to get into position to wall off defenders and then turn to his power and drive them away from the ball. The sophomore is quick out of his stance too and always looks to get first contact with his long arms. This was a strong start for the underclassman OT. Check him out.

. He checked in at 6’1.5″ and 251 lbs with just over a 6’4″ wingspan. I was impressed by the patience he showed in 1 on 1 pass protection battles. He didn’t reach, let his opponent commit to a path and then shut them down with a stout anchor and a firm initial strike. It will be interesting to see how his frame continues to grow. Right now his future looks like it will be at guard where he can utilize that anchor, lateral agility and overall power to set the tone on the interior.

Orville is another OL who is well on his way to looking the part of a dominant OL prospect. The freshman already stands at 6’2″ 245 lbs, and his frame brings plenty of power to the trenches. Orville is able to get hands on quickly and then resets the line of scrimmage downfield with his powerful leg drive. The freshman gets out of his stance quickly and does a good job of using leverage when making contact. Blohm also brings the range to pull and lead out in space. The early signs are positive for the Winnebago Lutheran 2027.
