Who Are the Best Uncommitted 2027s in WI?

We have also seen 1 commit to play for Northwestern and another to play for NDSU and be apart of their first Class as an FBS program. With 10 elite talents off the board it was time to come back to the rankings and check out who exactly is that next group of 10 athletes that college coaches and recruiting staffs should be heavily pursuing. Looking at the overall makeup of the group it is clear that we are not done with the OL position as there is still so much talent and depth to be had there as well as an outstanding QB, LB, and other talented athletes. So let's dive into the tape!    The top uncommitted 2027 in the current Prep Redzone WI rankings is Germantown's [player_tooltip player_id='1228379' first='Carter' last='Gordon']. The 6'5" 305 lbs lineman is the top ranked IOL in the state. His blend of short area burst and instant power on contact have made him a force in the interior trenches vs big DL. Carter has the quick feet to win the leverage and position battle in a phone booth or to pull across the formation and hit moving targets. The Germantown standout has the size, mobility, and power to play D1 football.   He holds offers from Northern Illinois and Sacramento State along with a baseball offer from Milwaukee.      The OT out of West De Pere has been seeing a surge in his recruitment over recent weeks. The 6'5" 275 lbs OL is the top ranked uncommitted OT here in WI. Over the years we have seen David's mobility, flexibility, agility, and overall footwork lead him to a lot of success. Pair that with his length and the '27 has always been able to get hands on and control his opponent. Over this past year we have seen David take that next step with the improvement in the strength category. Now the massive OT is not just getting hands on and controlling, but getting hands on and mauling DL. You see him clear out gaps with his lower body power.   That growth has happened right alongside an increase in his recruitment. David currently holds offers from Kent State, Akron, Columbia, Ball State, Northern Iowa, Lindenwood, Northern Illinois, and Sacramento State.     When we do our rankings update later this summer I have a feeling we see Orville pushing for a Top 5 OL ranking. The kid made huge strides in his game in 2025 leading to his jump to OL7, but the dominant 2027 might not be done there. Explosive violence is how I would describe Orville's game in two words or less. He is elite as a run blocker. He fires out of his stance with very low pad level, runs his feet through contact, and simply has the superior power to win the battle every time. The big man finishes too. Removing DL from the trenches isn't enough. Orville puts kids on the ground and out of the play. From that initial pop from his heavy hands to the leg drive, everything Blohm does is violent.   The rapidly rising 2027 OL holds offers from Navy, Columbia, Penn, Florida Atlantic, Cornell, South Dakota, Yale, South Dakota State, Eastern Michigan, Dartmouth, Wyoming, Northern Illinois, Miami (OH), North Dakota, Lindenwood, and Ball State.      This is one of the most intriguing prospects in the Class of 2027. Union Grove TE [player_tooltip player_id='1733709' first='Anthony' last='Zimmerman'] had a great frame as a sophomore, but as a junior came back even bigger at 6'6" 285 lbs. That is perfect for the Union Grove offense where they want to run the ball early and often in games. Anthony is able to provide them with a major advantage in their blocking scheme. Whether it be winning with his power vs DEs/edges or using his athleticism to hook the end and break contain or get up to an LB. The big man is only getting stronger too, just recently hitting 315 lbs on the bench for the first time. The '27 TE is just scratching the surface and could provide some great position versatility at the next level.   Anthony holds one offer so far from Eastern Michigan. This summer should lead to him adding plenty of others to that list. Check out the highlights.      Harker is a fun watch on tape. You will see him on the edge as well as at ILB. Not to mention the 6'4" 220 lbs athlete will also play RB on offense for Evansville. The raw tools to develop and carve out at the next level are there in spades. Harker has the length and is really starting to play effectively with it while on the edge. While playing off-ball LB you see the range as well as the play recognition so that he can quickly read and react. When Harker gets the chance to focus on one spot we could really see him take off at the next level. Harker's best football is still ahea of him.   Harker currently holds offers from Army and Air Force with plenty of other interest from D1 programs. As Harker starts getting verified numbers at summer camps I am expecting to see things really take off for him.      Right up there with the linemen and other impressive specimen in the Class of 2027 is our QB1 [player_tooltip player_id='1226894' first='Tyler' last='Wollin']. A QB that I have watched over and over because he checks off so many boxes when watching the tape. He looks the part at 6'3" 205 lbs. He offers the threat to do damage with his legs. The pinpoint accuracy while throwing from the pocket or on the move is effective and consistent to the short, intermediate, and deep levels of the field. It is also so clear that the 2027 recruit is dedicated to getting better at his craft. He is constantly training in the offseason, and doing it while leading his basketball team to huge successes during the winter. Arm talent, mobility, size, dedication, and leadership come together to make our WI QB1. You need to watch him in person.   Tyler currently holds offers from South Dakota and Northern State. Make sure to get out and watch the '27 QB1 throw live this spring/summer.      West De Pere is a lucky program as we turn our attention to the 2nd OL from the program included in this article. Holding down the blindside for the Phantoms we have the 6'6" 270 lbs 2027 OT [player_tooltip player_id='1412712' first='Sam' last='Schmidt']. Sam is another elite example of the depth in this OL Class. He possesses, and plays with, fantastic length. He always seems to be the first to make contact between him and his opponent. You see that upper body strength over and over as he steers and tosses DL around the trenches. The lower body is also effective to dig DL out of gaps. The big man can move too. Sam has hundreds of reps in pass pro that highlight his use of his length, light feet, and stout anchor when needed. The big man is steadily improving too. I can't wait to see him this summer.   Currently, Sam holds offers from North Dakota State, Central Michigan, Lindenwood, Northern Illinois, North Dakota, Sacramento State, and South Dakota State.     Guardian is a monster on the edge. The '27 is extremely versatile because of the rare combination of range, change of direction, and acceleration that he plays with at 6'4" 215 lbs. You don't often see kids Guardian's size be able to play in coverage on a consistent basis, and that helps to further separate him from the crowd. Then he can go from playing in space to playing with his hand in the dirt and beating OTs with power in the trenches. Not to mention he is a very effective traditional TE who can affect the game with his blocking and receiving. Don't miss out on this kid.   Guardian currently holds offers from South Dakota State, Illinois State, North Dakota State, and North Dakota. Plus he has earned multiple other FBS invites for visits and camps. A big summer is in store for the Fond du Lac standout.      Another impressive OL recruit is the 6'8" 300 lbs OT [player_tooltip player_id='1620170' first='Sam' last='Cheever'] of Arrowhead high school. In 2025 we saw Sam rotate on a very talented varsity OL while also playing some JV. This season we should see him take over one of the starting five spots. Until then we get to watch the big man show off his development at summer camps. The tape shows that the big man has the power to reset the line of scrimmage or instantly put his DL on the ground. Plus he has the mobility to be able to get up to level two and pick up LBs to spring his RB loose. The breakout is coming for Sam.   Sam is the first athlete in this list who is looking for his first offer. That is sure to come to an end over the coming weeks as he starts to perform in front of college OL coaches. Until then, dive into the 2027's film.      We end exactly where you might expect. With another outstanding OL recruit in the Class of 2027. [player_tooltip player_id='1733714' first='Jamail' last='Sewell'] of Wisconsin Lutheran checks the box for frame and length at 6'7" 280 lbs. He carries that 280 lbs so easily too. You see it on tape as he quickly can get depth and also change direction while in his pass set to mirror edge rushers. The big man also has that bulldozing strength to simply fire out and flatten DL to open up running lanes in the run game. The big man uses his hands consistently too to maximize his elite length advantage.   Jamail has had a great offseason in terms of offers. He currently has offers from Minnesota, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Toledo, and Liberty. More are sure to come too. Tap into his highlights and make sure to get him on campus this summer.
