When is comes to the traditional TE position Justin leads the way in the Class of 2027. The 6’4″ 230 lbs junior TE established himself on varsity with the impact he provides in the run game. Justin is able to effectively pull across the formation and clear out LBs or DEs/edges from holes. You really see the fluidity and mobility in Justin’s route running too. He is able to attack the middle of the field and run away from LBs in the short to intermediate passing game. Roy is on a path to being a guy who can play all three downs by the time he is an upperclassman at the next level. Check him out.

Justin is putting in the work this offseason. He just recently posted a big squat in the gym and shared that he is now up to 245 lbs. That is going to come in handy because Justin is heavily utilized for his blocking abilities. That extra strength and size are going to only help him move DL out of gaps. Justin also has great range to be able to lead across the formation and run over LBs in the hole. I love that every rep you see Justin show he can get underneath his man, get hands in good positioning, and release his power while running his feet through contact. Showing he can add size like this might even have Justin as a potential future OL down the road. Either way, having a physical blocker like Justin is an advantage for a team.

. He has always had a larger frame, but this past season it looks like he has really grown into it and understands how he can dominate his opponent. Looking at him as a receiving threat, Justin is able to attack the middle of the field. We see a lot of his success coming while crossing the middle of the field and finding those soft spots. But the crown jewel of his game is his impact in the run game as a blocker. The big man brings range, power, and flexibility to the TE position in his blocking. He can cross the formation to kick out edges. Or you can have him attack upfield and drive a DE off the line and open up huge holes for the RBs. It is great to see how fluidly Justin can sink his hips to get under his opponent and then drive them out of their gap. The ’27 is a force in the run game and contributing as a receiver. The best is yet to come for Justin.

Looking at the Mukwonago roster, I don’t see a TE on the team with the size that Justin is bringing to the group. During camps this summer, Justin showed off soft, reliable hands that caught the away from his body. His big frame naturally made it hard for DBs/LBs to cover him and break up passes as he boxed them out at the catch. Justin also has tape showing him to be an effective blocker in the trenches, helping open up running lanes, or downfield in the passing game to spring his receivers loose. I think we could see a big leap from Roy this fall that puts him on the radar of a lot of teams.
