About Drew

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Physical and aggressive, I try and get into the backfield and make plays. I’m not the biggest so I rely on speed, leverage, and effort. I just compete and keep going no matter what the situation is.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I know I’m undersized, I play with a chip on my shoulder every play. I rely on effort, speed, and leverage and don’t let size limit how I compete. I stay aggressive, keep fighting through blocks, and try to outwork whoever’s in front of me.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve dealt with personal challenges, including losing my uncle, which has helped me stay focused and appreciate every opportunity. I use it as motivation to work harder, stay consistent, and compete every chance I get for him.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college willing to give me a opportunity

The Sun Prairie East underclassman came out on Sunday and proved that while he may be undersized he can hang with what turned out to be a talented OL group. Drew is a 5’9″ 210 lbs sophomore DL and came out ready to compete and also ready to be coached up. The kid flashed lateral agility that got him off blocks and/or angles to beat OL through gaps. That balance and quick twitch, when paired together, earned him several 1 on 1 wins. He did well using his hands to create space that he can then use that short area burst to win reps. If Drew can continue to grow and build in the weight room then by his senior season I can see him finding ways to be a consistent impact for the Cardinals.
