. The soon to be senior has really built out his frame to be ready to make an impact vs the run and pass. He can take on OL and hold his ground just as well as he can fire off the snap and use his length to keep himself clean while getting into the backfield. The ’27 edge also has shown the ability to step up in the most important moments.

The small school stud from Lourdes Academy is our #5 edge defender in the state of Wisconsin. Every year it has been impressive watching Harlan get bigger, strong, and more in tune with the technique needed to win on the edge. Now the junior has film repeatedly dominating OTs throughout the season. The long edge does a great job getting hands on and instantly locking out to create space. Once he gets that space the 2027 edge has the quickness to quickly get around the OT. Harlan’s long strides eat up ground once he is free in the backfield and it has led to some impressive chase down tackles. The 2027 Edge is also proving that he can play vs the run and pass successfully and consistently. Don’t miss out on the small school standout.

Rise: #107 Up to #54
A big jump in the rankings for Harlan following a strong junior season on the edge for Lourdes Academy. Harlan looks the part now more than ever, checking in at 6’4″ 225 lbs. The junior edge defender has such an intriguing blend of traits. Range to fly in from a wide alignment and chase down the QB or RB. Strength to set the edge, shed the block and make the tackle. I was fortunate to watch that edge setting in person where he made key stops in some of the biggest moments of the season. Harlan can also win around the edge using his length and hand fighting moves. The small school stud keeps getting better and better. I’m excited for what is ahead of him.

. The 2027 DE/TE made several eye-catching plays. To start, I was impressed by his play at TE. I have been focused on his defensive work, but the long and lean target showed the body control to adjust to the ball last second and the natural hands to reel it in from outside his frame. On defense is where he made his biggest plays. The junior used that length so well to get separation and then could use his hands to disengage and get to the ball. That was highlighted on his 4th down stop in the first OT when he flew into the backfield to tackle the QB and force a turnover on downs. There are so many raw tools to like with the 2027 from his frame to his athleticism to his ability to step up in the big moments. Make sure this kid in on your radars and camp invite list this offseason.

Lourdes Academy has been on a tear this season. The small school has a deep roster of next level talent. Among them is the 6’4″ 205 lbs junior edge rusher. Harlan has made strides over this past year. He has become more comfortable in his long, lean frame and it is turning into more impact and big plays on the field. We see him take on blocks, shed and make the tackle for no gain. He flashes the speed to cross the OT’s face and win inside. Plus the junior has the length to keep himself clean while running the loop to get into the backfield. It is also clear that he is playing faster this season compared to where he was a year ago. It is great to see the growth and development in his game. I’m excited to see that he and LA will continue their run in Level 4.

. He has had a great frame going back to his sophomore season. In Week 1 we see that he has taken that next step in learning how to utilize his length to make plays. He is able to create and maintain separation with his hands, and is showing more consistent success with his lateral agility and burst to defeat blocks and get into the backfield to create havoc. Harlan also shows the high motor needed to make the extra effort plays out in space and downfield. The arrow is pointing upwards for the 2027 edge.

The #2 edge defender in the state is a very exciting prospect that looks like he has a very high ceiling. Harlan has the length that is coveted off the edge. He is also a fluid long strider who can cover ground in a hurry when he gets into the backfield leading to a lot of backfield disruption. The sophomore also showed that he can consistently use his size to create separation so he has the space to disengage and get after the ball. On top of it all, the 2027 plays with a high motor to make the chase down tackle or fight across his man to keep outside leverage. Check out the sophomore’s tape.

Another impressive sophomore who went off in Week 9 was DL Harlan Kuehn. His big day helped Lourdes Academy cap off a fantastic second half of the season and secure a playoff berth. The 6’3″ 195 lbs sophomore DE/OLB did a fantastic job of using his long arms to get first contact on his OT and to maintain space so he could get off the block and get after the QB on both of his sacks. The sophomore also did a great job of keeping contain while getting after the QB on those plays. Harlan also showed off his high motor as he made some effort plays like downfield tackles. The impressive sophomore also possesses the range to be able to turn and pursue out to the sideline when the ball does get outside of his containment. I’m really liking the tools and motor this rising sophomore plays with. Check out his tape.
