We are going to have some monsters in the smaller divisions this season. We have mentioned a few already, but we can’t overlook the Lourdes Academy QB/LB who seems to be involved in every facet of the game. On offense the incoming senior runs the ball like a bull in a china shop. He is going to break tackles and push the pile. Plus he was a super efficient passer and will have his go to guy back this year again. Then on defense we really see his natural abilities shine as he roams sideline to sideline making tackles and key stops. I can’t wait to see the video game numbers he puts up. Lourdes Academy is going to be a tough beat this fall, and is coming off a season where they were a game away from state. Big things ahead for the team and Brady.

My favorite linebacker of the 2026 UWRF MNWI Mega Camp undoubtedly was Lourdes High School (ignore the above incorrect high school designation) product Brady Bauer. The verified 6’1, 213 lber. caught my attention in all three phases of the camp, beginning with his 4.81 40, 4.56 shuttle, 9′ broad, and 33.2″ vert, placing him in the upper echelons of the linebacker and rising senior group in terms of athleticism/size combination. During drill work, Bauer was putting that physically impressive, filled out frame to good use, showing he can start/stop, drop his hips, and stick & plant without wasted movement, so cleanly in fact that the 6’1, 213. looked more like a safety than a LB. During 1v1s, Bauer was the most productive and effective linebacker I saw in coverage, as he was fast, quick, and comfortable enough to consistently stay in-phase with WRs and even slotbacks, and I saw him make a couple well-timed undercuts for PBUs as well. Really like how this Oshkosh product projects to the next level.

Another favorite LB of ours is Lourdes Academy’s Brady Bauer Brady Bauer 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB/ATH Lourdes Academy | 2027 State WI . Brady plays with what I would label athletic violence. He flies around the field at 100 mph and does it with force and power in every movement. Power that allows him to fight off or through blocks and deliver big hits on ball carriers. We saw flashes of that during drills at the Lake Show Mega Camp. We also saw him put together a strong showing in the combine portion of the event with a 4.78 40, 4.53 shuttle, 9’1″ broad jump, 7.59 L-Drill, and a 33.7″ vertical. All at 6′ 212 lbs on the day of the event. Brady is coming off a great season where he also plays QB for Lourdes Academy and had the Knights on the doorstep of a State appearance. I’m expecting big things from him and the rest of his team this fall.

Brady was the engine that moved the offense up and down the field. He put together more success through the air than I was expecting. Getting the ball out quickly, making good reads and placing the ball accurately. The yards he gained on the ground showed off the power in his 220 lbs frame as he tried to wear down the defense hitting them for 3-4 yards at a time. On defense we saw that same physical prowess as he would power through OTs on the edge to get pressure on the opposing QB and also set a stout edge vs the run game. This was the junior’s first season leading the offense, so I’m looking forward to the leap he makes over this offseason. He is in line for what could be a big senior season with Lourdes Academy.
