PRZ MN Exposure Series: Best OL I Saw

The PRZ MN Exposure Series took place last Saturday, and as always, I was thrilled to see the talent that the great state of Minnesota had to offer. It should come as no surprise, given the elite history of products that have been produced up here, that the highlight of the day was the offensive line. Spanning two states, there was talent to be found across all three classes in attendance (27/28/29) and massive risers that everyone going forward should know. Take a look at these big boys up next!    The rightful OL Camp MVP, Burton, was the most impressive trench prospect at the camp, and seemingly emerged out of nowhere. The 3-year Anoka Tornadoes starter was able to successfully play any position on the line, and I don't think he lost a single rep throughout the afternoon. Touting a great build that would lend itself well to the IOL at the next level, Burton has great recovery and readjustment in pass-pro, and crazy fast feet for a 285-lb prospect. Coaches and scouts alike raved about his performance, and it was arguably the highlight of the combine as a whole. He also posted some solid testing numbers, including a 4.99 shuttle, which further highlights his mobility. Burton was also able to finish blocks against high-level comp, and all while never giving up an inch. His potential excites me, and without a doubt, we will see Burton shooting up the rankings this fall.     If I could have assigned a Co-MVP for the combine, I would have given that honor to Gretzlock, who more than deserved a special nod. He possesses an insane frame, and even at 250 lbs, he still has room to grow into it. He tested off the chart too, highlighting some insane explosiveness in the broad jump and impressive quickness/change of direction in the L-drill and pro agility. He backed up all of this well-warranted hype with electric play during the 1v1 portion of the camp as well. Gretzlock excelled at every position on the line and had crazy fast feet, especially for a prospect of his size. He also touts insanely long arms, and they more than served him well in pass-pro. When he punched and locked out on a defender, they were helpless. He also showed off some nice physicality, and even when at a disadvantage to bull rushes without pads, he was able to stifle them. This kid has legit upside, I'm talking FCS/FBS potential.     It's no surprise that one of the top offensive line prospects in the class of 2028 stood out last Saturday; in fact, you could say he over-delivered. Posting an impressive 7'11" broad jump twice, as well as an eye-popping 4.69 shuttle drill, Harrison was consistently a top performer by nearly every metric. During the 1v1 drills, he won far more often than not, showcasing an elite kick-step in the process. I don't think he was beaten around the outside of the entire camp, and he consistently managed to improve throughout the afternoon. I loved his ability to hand-fight, and he possessed a powerful punch and lockout. The bend he plays with is great, and he was rarely the taller of the two competitors in the 1v1. Harrison's resets were top-notch, and he's proving that he belongs among the top prospects not only in the trenches, but in the state as a whole.     Another skyscraper of a prospect, Outcelt came out of nowhere and caught my attention nearly immediately on Saturday. His frame is obviously very impressive, and he looks every bit of 250. He's been a mainstay at offseason camps, and the work he's been putting in has been paying off. During the 1v1s, Outcelt was a fierce competitor, hand-fighting hard and getting underneath defenders to stop them in their tracks. When he gets low, he's really tough to beat, and at times, Outcelt showed off great recovery if a defender beat him by a step or two. He does a great job of staying square as well. STMA has a good one in this rising sophomore OL prospect.     Jones was without a doubt the biggest prospect in attendance, but he played far quicker and lighter on his feet than his size would have you believe. He towered over the competition and seemed to have already made strides from what he put forth on his sophomore tape. Jones had the mobility of a prospect 50 pounds lighter and was able to readjust to the demands of the 1v1 really well. If you tried to beat him around the edge, Jones showed he could really gain depth on his kickstep, and if you were bold enough to cross his face, you ran the risk of getting buried in the process. He was also a personable prospect. I'm excited to see more of the Camden trench dog going forward.     Edwards has long been solidified as one of the top offensive line prospects in the state, and he's seeming to get better every time I see him. Touting an impressive 7'10" broad jump and a 4.99 shuttle, his athleticism really shone through last Saturday. He's a tough out for anyone as a guard, and I really liked the bend that he was able to play with consistently. Low man wins, and that's a notion that Edwards proved early and often during 1v1s. His footwork was disciplined, and his short choppy steps reinforced his already stout base. I love it when a small-school athlete is not only able to hang with big-school kids but also consistently win reps. Edwards proved to be an elite measuring stick for defensive competition; if you could hang with him, you were able to run with the big dogs. He's been on a few NSIC visits, and I sense big things coming for the Byron soon-to-be senior.     I don't know how Rocori keeps producing absolute units of offensive linemen, but O'Neal is the next one to take that mantle for the Spartans. Bringing down a pair of 7'6" broad jump tests is no small feat for an athlete pushing 285, and the positives continued to stack up for the Northern MN prospect. He had success on both sides of the ball during the 1v1 portion of the camp, showing off a surprisingly quick get off on defense while utilizing both nasty rip and punch moves. On offense, O'Neal did a great job of keeping the defender in front of him and often had disciplined footwork and solid hand placement. Big things could be in the future for the Rocori product.     The honors of being the tallest prospect in attendance on Saturday went to Big Lake's [player_tooltip player_id='2125932' first='Evan' last='Blackman']. Currently holding an NSIC offer from the University of Sioux Falls, Blackman posted an impressive 5.05 shuttle drill and a solid 7'6" broad jump. He may have started the camp a little slower, but as the reps piled up, it became clear that Blackman was one of the top prospects in attendance. Once he locked into a groove, his footwork and hand placement leveled up and became top-notch. He's got very long arms and can keep nearly every defensive lineman at bay when needed. Possessing great physicality and a solid first punch, I don't think it's long before we see more schools clamoring for Blackman's talents.
