in nearly palpable fashion. Jones has a ton of experience despite his youth, and the experience in pass protection was obvious at the PRZMN Spring Showcase. Nimble despite the hulking size, Jones kept his feet and hands active throughout his pass set, and as the strongest OL in attendance, that had a shutdown impact on rushers. Jones could handle speed, twitch, and power alike, could readjust laterally and showed good balance that allowed him to tie up twitchier rushers with consistency, and he did a great job of hand fighting and playing and catching a rusher when they were reaching or trying to get hands on. There was some nuance and craftiness to his game, as well as sheer size and strength, so it’s safe to say this is a big name to know in Minnesota’s 2028 OL class.

Jones was without a doubt the biggest prospect in attendance, but he played far quicker and lighter on his feet than his size would have you believe. He towered over the competition and seemed to have already made strides from what he put forth on his sophomore tape. Jones had the mobility of a prospect 50 pounds lighter and was able to readjust to the demands of the 1v1 really well. If you tried to beat him around the edge, Jones showed he could really gain depth on his kickstep, and if you were bold enough to cross his face, you ran the risk of getting buried in the process. He was also a personable prospect. I’m excited to see more of the Camden trench dog going forward.

Jones is an absolute UNIT of an offensive lineman. He was listed at 6’4″, 375 lbs last season and put forth some solid sophomore tape on the interior offensive line. At his best, Jones can bury defensive linemen, and he’s more mobile than the typical prospect of his stature. He also does an excellent job of finishing his blocks, often following defenders to the ground in the process of pancaking them. When he pulls, it can have a devastating effect on whatever poor defensive end is going to be on the receiving end of one of his blocks. He does consistently look for work upfield, too, and when he locks onto a defender, he can completely erase them from the play. He’s a prospect with upside to be sure, and I’ll be following his junior season intently.
