Enjoy!

Every Monday throughout the season, we kick off the week by looking at the ten best games across the state of Oklahoma. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma every day this week and throughout the season for the best coverage of Oklahoma high school football. This month, we're also doing an update to our prospect rankings. This week, we're continuing to spotlight some of the best players in the 2027 class and later this week, we'll begin to look at the 2026 class. And we'll finish off the week by taking a look at the players to watch this week as well as our latest installment of the Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watchlist! For now, here's a breakdown on this week's top games across Oklahoma!

#4 BLANCHARD (7-0) AT #3 TUTTLE (7-0)

It's a state championship-quality match-up in week eight as #3 Tuttle will host #4 Blanchard and this is a game that we've had circled for months. The last two times these teams have met, it's been memorable for different reasons. In 2022, Blanchard stunned Tuttle in the final seconds with a game-winning touchdown. Last year, they beat Tuttle again after scoring all three of their touchdowns on Tuttle turnovers. Blanchard went on to win the state title in 2023 and they are hungry to prove they can do it again this season. Both teams are unbeaten and both teams have legitimate star power. Blanchard is led by senior [player_tooltip player_id='268307' first='Brayson' last='Carter'] and he dominated the match-up with Tuttle a year ago in all three phases of the game. The Tigers have a three-headed monster on offense but junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='473754' first='Cruz' last='Campbell'] is the guy that makes this unit go and one of the best in 4A.

#9 CLAREMORE SEQUOYAH (6-1) AT #5 CASCIA HALL (6-1)

Claremore Sequoyah might be the most underrated team in Class 3A right now. The Eagles are newcomers to our 3A rankings, debuting at #9, as they are simply winning games. But arguably their toughest test of the season comes Friday night when they come to Tulsa to face #5 Cascia Hall. The Commandos have been on a roll this season and look to run away with this district championship. A win on Friday puts them one step closer to that. Claremore Sequoyah lost their season opener and have now won six straight coming into this week. On the other side, you have a Cascia Hall team that is starting to reach new heights offensively. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1083187' first='Barrett' last='Mullen'] has produced at a high level over the last several weeks and the offense as a whole is very balanced. The winner of this game is definitely going to be in the driver's seat for the district championship.

#5 DEER CREEK (6-1) AT #7 NORMAN (6-1)

#5 Deer Creek suffered their first loss of the season last week in Jenks. This week, they hit the road again against a top ten team as they travel south to face #7 Norman. The Antlers will be looking to bounce back in a major way, not only coming off their first loss but being shut out against the Trojans. Deer Creek's offense is one of the better units in 6A-1 so they'll come into this week's game with a chip on their shoulders. The Antlers are led by senior quarterback and Georgia Tech commit [player_tooltip player_id='242231' first='Grady' last='Adamson'] and he is definitely one of the best quarterbacks in the state but had some uncharacteristic turnovers last week. Norman's only loss came to Jenks as well and the Tigers are also led by a senior quarterback that has elevated his game this season. [player_tooltip player_id='211962' first='Phoenix' last='Murphy'] has taken a huge step forward this fall as a passer and is looking to continue to put up big numbers this week.

#8 HARTSHORNE (6-1) AT #5 POCOLA (5-2)

It's the game of the week in Class A-1 and a massive district game as #5 Pocola will host #8 Hartshorne. The Miners are coming off their first loss of the season and they are looking to bounce back. Both teams have offenses that can absolutely light up the scoreboard. But Pocola's offense features a sophomore quarterback that is putting up numbers that you don't see very often in high school football. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1473214' first='Ja' last='Posey'] has thrown for 500+ yards in two out of their last three games. During those three games, he's had 14 touchdowns with no interceptions while completing 70 percent of his passes. Hartshorne will definitely have their hands full trying to limit what Pocola does offensively. And as a side note on the game itself, this is an interesting scenario where the three seed out of this district might have a more favorable playoff path than the two seed.

#2 HERITAGE HALL (6-1) AT #7 PAULS VALLEY (5-2)

#2 Heritage Hall nearly had their district winning streak snapped last week in Ardmore. They had to rally in the second half to send the game with Plainview to overtime. They would get out of there with a win but this week brings another tough road game. #7 Pauls Valley will welcome them to town and this is a match-up of running backs that are playing at a high level right now. Pauls Valley is headlined by Baylor commit [player_tooltip player_id='353410' first='Caden' last='Knighten'] and he's reminded the state of just how dominant he can be after missing most of his junior season with an injury. For the Chargers, senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='434307' first='Barrett' last='Travis'] is playing at a very high level right now. He's coming off big games in the last two weeks as he's turned into an absolute workhorse for the Heritage Hall offense. With a win, it'll be hard for Heritage Hall to not capture another district title. But the Panthers are definitely thinking upset.

#4 JENKS (4-3) AT #8 MOORE (4-3)

#4 Jenks has been on a roll over the last several weeks and it looks like the Trojans have turned a corner following their 1-3 start. They handed Deer Creek their first loss last week and now hit the road to face Moore, who's coming off a tough loss to Norman. The Trojans have been led all season by junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] and he's been a weapon for Jenks in the run game as well as the passing game. Moore will look to limit what Jones and the Trojans can do on the offensive side of the ball. The Lions will also counter with an explosive offense that can do a lot of things to keep opposing defenses guessing. They've had several different players really stand out on the offensive side of the ball. The Trojans will all but lock up a first round bye with a victory on Friday night. The Lions are still fighting for playoff positioning and a win would all but guarantee they would be in.

#4 McALESTER (6-1) AT #6 BOOKER T WASHINGTON (5-2)

The more these two teams kept winning, the more this week eight clash got bigger and bigger. #4 McAlester hits the road to Tulsa to face #6 Booker T Washington in a game that feels like a district championship game. The Hornets will welcome the Buffaloes to town on a five-game winning streak. Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='858873' first='Mykah' last='Washington'] has been playing at a very high level over the last several weeks and he'll look to continue that trend this week at home against the Buffaloes. McAlester also comes into this week as winners of five straight and they had to rally last week against Bishop Kelley. They also have a junior running back that has been playing at a very high level. [player_tooltip player_id='858875' first='Jordan' last='Clark'] has scored eight touchdowns on the ground this season and five of them have come in the last two games. This game will obviously carry a lot of weight when it comes to the playoff seeding.

#1 MUSKOGEE (7-0) AT #4 SAND SPRINGS (5-2)

It's the game of the week in our opinion as top-ranked Muskogee will go on the road to face #4 Sand Springs. The Roughers have been perfect this season and they've absolutely steamrolled the competition in district play. Sand Springs has done the same as the Sandites have won five straight following back to back losses to start the season against the top two teams in Class 6A-1. This will also be one of the best quarterback match-ups that we see in Class 6A-2 this season. The Roughers are led by senior [player_tooltip player_id='211556' first='Jamarian' last='Ficklin'] and he's been one of the very best quarterbacks in Oklahoma for a while now. Sand Springs junior [player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] is right there near the top (or at the top) of the list in the "most improved" quarterback discussion. He has been lights out throughout the season and he joined Ficklin on the PRZ-OK Player Of The Year Watchlist last week.

#7 PRYOR (5-2) AT #9 COLLINSVILLE (5-2)

We've said it a few times but this district in Class 5A is turning into absolute chaos and very unpredictable, with the exception that Del City is the front runner. After that, it's anybody's guess. #7 Pryor is looking to pick up another win and keep their district title hopes alive and get a step closer to at least a first round playoff game. #9 Collinsville is looking to bounce back after letting a second half lead slip through their fingers, losing on the road to Claremore in a game that might come back to haunt them in the playoff seeding race. Pryor quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1366322' first='Braden' last='Ward'] is similar to the QB that Collinsville just faced as a guy who can beat opponents with his arm and legs. He should come into this game with a lot of confidence. On the other side, Collinsville running back [player_tooltip player_id='1018641' first='Scott' last='Rigby'] has reminded us that when he's healthy and on the field, he is one of the best running backs in 5A football.

#3 STILLWATER (5-2) AT #5 PUTNAM CITY (5-2)

It's bounce back time for #3 Stillwater after they went on the road and lost a close game to Choctaw. The Pioneers have to go back on the road this week to face #5 Putnam City. The winner of this game will all but guarantee themselves a first round bye while the loser will have to play in that opening playoff week. The Pirates have bounced back from a loss to Choctaw with back to back wins. But they will definitely have their hands full against Stillwater. Look for senior [player_tooltip player_id='1078310' first='Brayden' last='Knox'] to play a big role on the defensive side of the ball as they attempt to slow down Stillwater's high-powered offense. The Pioneers have been led by senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='655747' first='Mason' last='Schubert'] and he's really established himself as one of the top signal callers in Class 6A-2 after playing the last three years at Morrison. This is a significant district match-up and we anticipate both teams coming into this game on a mission.
